I have to say I was kind of surprised that Sister Robin didn't come to Anny's defense as much as she could have when the brothers were ganging up on her.

This is another reason I think they are acting. His sister doesn't come across as someone who would have just sat through that, so I think they all knew it was going to be said, but I don't think they expected Anny to actually get hurt by the comments. I think they went farther than what aired because she seemed genuinely hurt when she got up from the table.

There have been several times they have shown to be acting, like when Bryson blurted out the line they taught him at the wrong time when it didn't make sense. They are exaggerating their bickering but the street walker comment with accompanying high five was a low blow. Robin not saying anything was surprising.

Least attractive man/woman (personality counts!) Angela, Robert (I would have said Sasha, but I can just put a bag over his head.)

Couple most likely to break up first:  Tania and Syngin (it can't be soon enough!)

Best supporting character:  Porn Granny really brought the drama!

Children most likely to need counseling:  Angela's grandkids, unless Papa Michael can intervene and get them started on the right path.

Couple that you would like to know in real life: Oooh, this is difficult!  Maybe Juliana and Michael- they could invite me over for a wine tasting.

Couple that you would have a restraining order against in real life:  Angela and Michael (a no-brainer.  I would show Michael how to get his own restraining order against Angela, too.)

Best breakfast - Big Mike's pancakes!

Is there a rule or custom about not having a conversation when you are eating? Here in the States, meals are a social event.

Nope, there is no such rule, but admittedly people do talk a bit less during meals than what I've seen in other countries. So the focus is more on eating than socialising, but usually people do talk a little bit during meals.

Regarding Blake & Jazmin, if I'm remembering correctly,  Jazmin & her sister had entered some lottery to move to US.  Her sister won & Jazmin did not.  How ironic she then connects with some guy who she has absolutely nothing in common with but lives down the street from sister.  There is no attraction whatsoever.  She has no interest in his lifestyle and he has no interest in hers.  I have no idea how they were even approved for this visa.

The green card lottery! Only people from countries that are underrepresented in the states can apply. Me and a couple of friends try it every year but so far I've never met anyone who actually got the green card that way, because there is a tiny amount of them available for a huge number of applicants. Plus if you win the lottery you are still not guaranteed a green card, because there are criteria you have to still meet in order to get it. Jasmin's sister is super lucky.

The Finnish chick bugs!  So she is not supportive of Blake's job and does not want to even become friends with his friends.  WTF do they have in common?  And she has the nerve to expect to be supported with no plans of going to school or getting any kind of job?  Sounded like her Mom was OK with that scenario too and not surprised.  If you expect to be a citizen of a new country, at least make an effort to fit in.  Jeez.

Ok, but surely they still have to show some means of support? Like, how was Blake able to sponsor Jasmine? I am thinking her sister at least must work.

I don't see Blake's Mom going along with sponsoring her, maybe Blake is more successful than we are seeing on the show?

Someone told me Blake was a software engineer, but I literally don't remember hearing anything about that.

The green card lottery winners need ro have at least a high school diploma or work experienxe in certain occupations. As far as I know there is no requirement to have a specific amount of money, you also don't need a job offer etc.

For the K1 visa Blake would need to earn over the threshold to be able to sponsor Jasmin, just like everyone else on the show.

That makes some sense, in that the producers have been hiding the "real jobs" of the participants so they don't get overwhelmed at their workplaces.  Last year we were told Deavon was a model and makeup artist, but her main job was actually a salesperson at a furniture store.

Big Mike isn't really a full-time farmer, he has a job in town (we were told on the show when we met him)

First post here.  So glad to not just be screaming at my tv anymore!

Juliana - how come nobody talks about “human trafficking” and how her new husband met her in one of those stereotypical but apparently true mega- rich party yacht situations?  Does he claim that he never socialized with people like that before except that one time???   And why didn’t Juliana try to call her family on her wedding day?  She admits she has left them in poverty.  No wonder they didn’t call her.  She could at least call them.  Maybe it was edited out.

! No regrets

The Julianna story really makes me uncomfortable. Yacht parties are a thing and the women are rarely hired because they are great waitresses. Their age difference is too much, the economic power difference is too much, and the way they met just screams pervy old man.

I sponsored my husband when I was in grad school and beyond poor. If I remember correctly, I only needed to make 25,000 a year or something (which I was only a tad over). It's really not hard to make the income requirement.

Unless you are Pol.

Chipmunk Jodi arias and syringe- he is stupid to still stay with her. She basically told him she's just with him for sperm and has no problem not being with him in the future when she feels a deeper connection with someone else.

Paul bunyan and crazy eyes- I hate that she hurt him and that he will likely take her back. Although she is insane, I think her whole love feels are cultural. I don't think being in love is needed for a marriage in her culture- she can marry someone that she can grow in love with and sees as a good match. She didn't explain it well because she's insane.

Mycull and granny- I'm glad he got a micro wave and electric kettle out of her. I'm glad people at the embassy laughed at her.

Melted Ken doll and julie- their wedding was not happy to me. Kids were cute.

Emily and Russian man ho- no one is happy for you, emily.

Anny and Florida man ho- I'm on her side and she needs to leave. Robert and his brother have made 14? 12? kids between them and I would guess they don't take care of all of them. Anny has has no marriages and no kids. They have no right to lecture her on anything.

Elsa and flake- flake needs to grow up and stop all the "all my friends are my very best friends and my family". That was cute in high school and college. And while it's great to have close friends that are like your family; if you are choosing to marry someone they become your real family that you are making- so either choose her or marry Rita.   I can see Elsa's point, I wouldn't want to hang out with his friends  all the time either, especially not Rita.
