Abby was very cool, easy going host.  I didn't know her before her stint at The View.  She is such a nice departure from the volcano that is Meghan McCain.  I will miss her and wish her well.  As far as her departure I hope they get another Republican (no one as eruptive as Meghan) since it's not as balanced to have four Democrats vs one Republican.

OMG!  KeKe getting the seat would be awesome!  From everything I’ve read, and from watching the show, Sara left because of Meghan.  She’s not coming back.

I am just so happy Abby is leaving.  She came across as so fake to me, plus very wishy washy on her views. I firmly believe if her family were not billionaires and her dad not a political figure, there is no way she would ever have had those cushy jobs at Fox and The View.  She is also very two faced because she praised the Fox co-hosts very similar to what she said about her View co-hosts when she left. Now if MeAgain announced her departure, that would just be icing on the cake.

I heard that Meghan really got Abby that job on the View. It probably didn't hurt that Abby's family are billionaire wealthy and political too. But, Meghan really pushed for her bestie to be on there. So now there appears to be a falling out between the two, or the very least tension that wasn't there before. So sad that I cannot label Blabby and MeAgain the nepotism twins anymore. Nepotism is definitely their friend.

I sure can picture KeKe at the table.   She wouldn't take any of what Meghan dishes out daily.   I'm not thrilled with her on Sara's show, just because I can't get past the feeling that they were trying to edge Sara out after her maternity leave, and KeKe is such a strong personality that she overshadows Sara sometimes.   But on The View?? That would be awesome watching her take on Nutmeg.   Plus she would bring a much younger point of view to conversations too.   But my dream replacement will always be Ana.

I remembered that the opening announcer said the exact same thing back then, and since a couple of us were speculating last week that Abby was pregnant, when Whoopie began by commenting on Abby's dress while looking right at Abby's stomach, I thought for sure that was the reason.

Yeah, Kimberly Guilfoyle is a big rara Team Roger type in the movie, and yet the first day he was gone, in the movie, she showed up in pants instead of a short skirt.  She was even passing out Team Roger t shirts and practically ordering all of the crew to wear them.

I think the whole rotating-different-hosts thing could be just a ploy.  I would think they know already who would be a good fit.

Now, on the other hand, it could be that Abby told them she's leaving just a short while ago and they have to scramble.  Tara and Yvette may have other gigs they're working on.  Maybe the rotating try-outs is just a time-filler until their chosen host is available.

I still want Ana in that seat.  Ana, please move to NYC permanently.

I recall an interaction.  they were talking about an issue with kids, it may have been about a teacher telling kids that Santa wouldn't come if they were bad.  Abby was telling some related anecdote bout her daughter.  Meghan yelled right over her, with something like  yeah, we know!   then Joy encouraged Abby to finish, and there was a brief clip of Abby's daughter.   That was, I think, the day Meghan turned to the producer and asked for some consideration for the childless one on the panel.  

It was a very weird interaction, because Abby does NOT go on and on about her kids, and Meghan was so far out of line she looked like a crazy person.  Abby looked hurt, and everyone else was clearly uncomfortable.

So the cause of the toxic work environment remains.  Typical. Twenty years ago I shared an office with a man who used to say things I found offensive. I complained and I was the one who was moved to a desk in the copy room.

That fits with Meghan's narcissism.  If she doesn't think the topic is relevant to her then she has no interest in it and doesn't think anyone else should either.
