@alegtostandon - no lie, I was just thinking about the movie "Penny Serenade" today!  I love old movies from the 40's and 50's - and that was one of my favorites!!!

Per the Goodwill - my older son works there part time, has for years and loves it.  He brags that he gets overrun graphic tees from Target for $1.99.  Here is a funny story, all true:  He works the donation bay A LOT.  Once a guy pulled up with a coffin in the bed of his truck.  My son's first question?  "Is there anyone in there?"  😂  Nope, family decided on cremation after they bought the casket!  Nope, can't donate it, sorry.  The guy took the news well.  He gets a lot of religious folks trying to "witness" him as well:  He just says, "Buddy, ya gotta move it along.  Best wishes!!!"

Who knew there were teenagers willing to bring up the topic of the sex their mom had last night?

Do kids actually say this to their parents/mom/dad?  Holy moly - hubby and and I were engaged, we were getting married in six weeks or so and when we took my younger one to college four hours away and stayed in a motel, I was in one room (with two beds) with my son and he was in another room - on a different level of the hotel, lol!!!  I am still mystified why people move someone in ASAP and share a room with kids in the house.  Having said that, I am going to put my hair in a granny bun, wear a shawl, eat dinner at 4pm and shoo kids off my lawn.

Have to wonder, if he wasn’t in the delivery for the other two kids, if now he has had some sense slapped into him.  He was only there to provide translation for Emily.  His other two baby mamas didn’t require that service.  He got more information during that delivery than during any of the previous.

I was wondering that, too. I’m really hoping it slapped him into reality and he’ll start wrapping it up.

I was appalled when she told Mercel to tell the boys about his parents...as their mother (not to mention his poor English), she should've told them the truth...and long before it happened...wtf kind of mother is she??  Then she just sits there like a moron instead of reassuring her children how important they are...i felt so bad for those kids...especially with the cameras on them...i wanted to hug all 3 of them...Mercel isn't worth a toenail clipping from any of those boys...Anna is a selfish monster

Sasha will never change his behavior unless there are consequences.

So far, it doesn't appear as though there have been any.  He gets to see his son when he wants and be a Disney dad.  He will be able to traipse to the US without a backward glance and there is no mention of child support.

He has no moral problem with his behavior besides complaining that people unfairly judge him as a "bad guy" so he basically doesn't think he has done anything wrong....he just doesn't like having a bad image.

So, when he takes off on Emily and their child in a few years, he will not feel any moral obligation to pay child support or really spend any time with this child.

Therefore, I think he will do everything in his power to keep from paying any support.  He will hide his income, put assets in someone else's name, take low wage jobs to keep from having to pay child support.

I expect that at some point he will bitterly blame Emily for not using birth control and therefore the baby is her fault and responsibility.  Especially if she tries to keep him from spending hours at the gym or doesn't properly admire his muscles while changing poopy diapers.

I know for a fact there are unused items at Goodwill because I have given unused kitchen items.  I have a kitchen gadget addiction and since I have a bungalow kitchen the rule is when one item enters another item must leave.  Goodwill is my choice to give as they have a drive up and they unload your car.  Another organization here has a once a year charity rummage sale where people plan ahead to attend and line up for the used designer fashions.  Anny should know the designer stuff she probably buys is the manufactured lesser line of that designer - cheaper fabrics, not so much attention to detail, things not lining up right, etc.  Robert playing the big baller though sold Anny a bad bill of goods.  She proved though she was cheap when she was bought with lingerie that who knows where it came from.

I feel the same way, in that I think she could get better quality at the Goodwill.

When my dad was new to this country and poor, he said he went to the Goodwill and could find brand new or nearly new suits on the cheap.  I guess he recognized his poverty and adjusted accordingly.  Anny, who doesn't seem to have her own money, maybe should try to adjust.

But, it's possible that anny would have been okay, had these things been explained to her in advance.

I was thinking back to the conversation Robert had with his friend who "warned" him about women from the DR.  Next thing we know, the day after she arrives,   nAnny is wanting name brand designer clothes,  an iPhone X and a beach wedding in Miami with the possibility of moving there.  IF this was not prompted by production,  then I'm sure Roberts mind is thinking back to that conversation.

Isn't Pedro of Chantel & Pedro from the DR?  Sister Pedro seemed to dress very nicely.

Living in the Phoenix  area and watching a few seasons of 90 Day franchise,  Latin women have a very certain style... and it's not off brand Levi's and a button down pastel flowered blouse!

Robert's friend is a cheapskate just like him.

My town has a good sized Dominican population, and yes, Dominican girls, on the whole, like to dress up! They are made up and dressed nicely when they go out. Body con dresses, tight jeans and camis. And not just girls. Women in their thirties and forties. I love their confidence.

Miami is probably the only place in Florida Anny has ever heard of. Robert, instead of calling her a crybaby and whiner, could have said, "Hey, wait till you see this place. Miami isn't the only place in Florida with beautiful beaches and fun things to do. I can't wait to show you around". Because he doesn't want to show her around or take her anyplace. He wants a built in sex doll and child care provider who will kiss the hem of his garment for taking her to the US.

That limo was tacky to the extreme, it looked like a McDonald's funhouse inside and the H2 was discontinued it 2009 it it was at least 10 years old. And it was just the two of them, why not get something classy like a chauffeured S-Class? One would think that if he was wealthy, living in Greenwich and worked in the high-end wine business that he would find even the idea of that limo as gauche, honestly I would be horrified if I ordered a limo to take with someone and that thing turned up.

That hospital looked like something out of either a horror movie or a gay porn. Also the husband did a terrible job translating, there was no other option? I work in public service and we can get a translator on the phone in basically any language if needed just like any hospital in the US, surely the same can be said of Russia. And Russia does have major economic problems but they also have plenty of rich people, would would think they could find better faculties. And did the operating room have a patio? It looked like one of the nurses was taking a smoke break during the surgery.

Re: Pet Names Unless we are out in public my husband and me rarely, rarely call each other by our first names, I would think something was wrong if I heard him call me by my first name in the house.

Chanel and Versace? Honey he can't even afford an iPhone or a two bedroom apartment, there isn't Versace in your future.

It looks like our "activist" finally managed to wash and brush her hair, I guess her astronaut, firefighter, boat captain, physics professor, opera singer gave her some hair tips. And what are all her accomplishments that he is going to have to be OK with?

I used to really like Pao!  I thought she was funny & sweet, but then I saw how she was SUCH a mean-girl when she teamed up with Loren to bash someone else on one of the group update episodes where they are interviewed.

It was awful.  I could not believe what mean-spirited jerks they both were.  It made me detest Loren too,.  She had put on such a nice-girl persona previously and totally had me fooled.... and I had liked her a lot as well.

I understand throwing some shade when someone has been rotten to you, but their nastiness was totally unprovoked.  They were merely judging and bashing someone else and very few people called them out on this, it appears.

Yeah, they were horrid to anfisa, who had done nothing to them.  Neither of them should have been throwing stones because they both suck.

I think the one time I liked Chantal was when she refused to engage in that behavior.

Yeah, that was a setup "what beach?"

Well of course she is going to say "Miami Beach".

Miami vice, that will Smith song about Miami, Gianni Versace..... Miami Beach, santa Monica, Venice, Newport are probably in the top five most famous American beaches.

True story, my cousin....who was just a broke "free spirit" had a flash wedding on the beach.  Put up that gate thing....rolled out a red carpet....threw down a few petals....set up 20 chairs that he rented.

They were in and out in under an hour and didn't have to pay any fees.  Everyone went for brunch at Lowe's hotel afterwards.

I'm not sure if the Miami Beach PD are on the lookout for these people, but how much can the fine really be if you get caught?

I read in either Aspen or Denver (or Boulder??) there is a high end Goodwill boutique called Blue something. They cull all the designer stuff from the nonstore drop off locations and stock the Blue [whatever] boutique. But designer stuff dropped off at store locations stay in those stores. Awesome idea!

I resell part time and the reselling community on insta RAVES about thrifting in Colorado.  People from all over take trips there JUST for the bins (the Goodwill Outlets).  I need to get in on that trip lol

That said, I don't know if there are many folks in this franchise who would be able to appreciate or even find the FUN in thrifting.  Maybe Olga or Kirylam, but I can't even include Robert in this bc he's a selfish, broke-ass fool for so many other reasons.

I can't imagine what a week with Mursel would be like without cameras around.  Can you imagine all of the awkward silences and passing the phone around to one another just so they can have conversation?  At least he tries with English, as heavily accented as it is (hearing him say "sun visor" took me a dozen tries to actually "hear" it), which is more than we can say for the early stages of Pol/Kreeny.  Now we just hear Kreeny's English consist of telling Pol to go fuck himself lol.

Loren definitely still holds a grudge against Chantel for that, you could see it in her Pillow Talk reactions to the Chantel/Pedro segments. I love the weird couple friendship between Chantel/Pedro and Jorge/Anfisa. Remember that one Tell All where Chantel and her two semesters of Spanish were struggling to translate for Pedro and Jorge finally stepped in to help?

I live in Orlando and Winter Park is one of the nicest and most expensive cities in metro Orlando. It has a really beautiful walkable downtown and a lot of big homes on the water.  It has some downscale areas too, but its definitely one of the IT spots in Orlando. I dont know about that particular store, but if I was thrift store shopping WP would be a great place to do it.

I thought Winter Park was one of the nicest areas in Orlando too. Orlando was every once in awhile one of my markets when I used to buy commercial office properties. I was surprised he lived there. I guess he lives in one of the downscale areas. I didn’t know there were any.

There are a few on the northern end and then again in a couple of more southern parts. None of it is super downscale. I live in the East Side of Orlando in a nice area, but WP is out of my price range. I get more for my money here. I drive over there to go to the shops on Park Avenue or to go to Trader Joe's and Whole Foods.

WP is the city that I take my friends to when they want to see what Orlando is like beyond theme parks.

Guests should not be asked to pay for celebrations. The hosts should operate within their budgets even if it means no reception at all.

I agree this is the ideal way in our culture to celebrate events.  Sometimes, however, there is an accepted tradition within a community group that allows for guests to contribute a food dish rather than a gift.  My church friends all contributed food and I was able to have a small reception as a result (waaaay back in the day.)

Anny and that guy- She is a gold digger but it sounds like he let her believe that he could get things for her.  I thought he was rude.

Julianna and the melted Ken doll- I like her; I thought the scene with her and the kids meeting was lovely and definitely a refreshing scene.  Too bad Micheal is an old perv; take the money and run, Julianna.

The bees- Mursel is just making himself look worse and worse; he really should just respond to every English conversation with "I want to kiss you!".

The mountain guy and Russian girl- Good on him for losing his depression weight.  I feel like he's a sweet guy; he's really kind ot his crazy uncle.  From the previews shown on the first show it looks like she's using him.  I hope that's not the case.

Emily and man-ho- I'm glad she had a scary birth; what sort of attention whore lets a camera crew film them giving birth? (cough, Pao!)  Maybe she figured they wouldn't let her die on camera.  The baby was cute.

Chipmunk and Siringe - She needs to be fitted for a proper bra.  And she's awful.  I hope he leaves her.

There's nothing about their current status right now on the couple's thread, but that could change in an instant. There's nothing about his other children/paramours, either, except that they were mentioned in the preview for this week's episode.

I really think they get paid extra to allow those scenes to be filmed, remember Karine's baby's birth was all on camera, as well as Pao's.

Someone on a different thread said the 600 pound people are paid extra for shower scenes, and I believe it, why else would someone further humiliate themselves for an audience?

I too shop in thrift stores; pretty much all my clothing is second hand, except shoes and underwear. Also every decorative piece in my home, books, movies and toys for the grandkids. I also donate regularly.

Maybe the uncomfortable boots mentioned  above will fit another person, but what irritates me are the obvious damaged goods that really should have been trashed, i.e. the clothes with irreparable stains and/or tears.

Ah, yes! "Boom boom"! David and Annie!

I guess NTT didn't impress me because I don't remember it at all. Who said it?

In one of his talking heads he spoke about how he rented the Limo because he couldn’t afford a helicopter and then he winked at the camera. I cringe every time he speaks.

A helicopter from the airport to midtown or to the Hamptons is actually pretty reasonable. Had Michael given the actual and completely reasonable answer, he would have come off so much better. The actual answer--the FAA won't just let you land a helicopter in the middle of the street because he still lives in an apartment, there is no heliport in Greenwich, and most of near ones are attached to hospitals and not open to private customers. He could have rented something a little less tacky than that party bus like stretch Hummer.

Consignment shops might have some really nice quality things though, but, I've never personally felt comfortable buying used clothes either ---not because I always assume other people are gross... I am just skeeved out at the thought of dust mites, bed bugs, microscopic insect eggs in pockets, etc., if the store is not kept clean enough or based on where the clothes may have been stored.  Gives me the heebie-jeebies just thinking about it.  ugh.

You need to think of it less like used and more like "pre-owned." I have a ton of clothing from the National Council of Jewish Women Thrift Shop that were never worn and still had their tags: an Escada bolero, a couple of Valentino pieces, Armani, Etro, Missoni, Orla Kiely, and some Anna Sui that a consignment store snatched up from a sample sale, but was too young for their usual customers. And you just send it to a dry cleaner. I once went to Gabriel Brothers and they had a lot of J Crew evening, bridesmaid, and bridal gowns. They were $11 each and 100% silk. I bought 3 bridesmaid gowns in red, navy, and black that I knew I could wear to other occasions. Gabriel Brothers often has merch in such questionable condition that I got into the habit of always sending newly purchased clothing to the cleaners. They are also the only reason I have a reweaver because they once got a massive lot of cashmere in that ranged from ok to seriously damaged. I've never been to a consignment store that was worse maintained than a Gabriel Brothers or a Ross.

Regardless, (N)Anny is a Strawberry/Rainbow/Charlotte Russe (RIP)/Fashion Nova type lady. She says she's a classy dresser. She's not. (N)Anny is tacky and obvious. There is nothing subtle about her. She is T and A and Me (first).

I'm really surprised by how much I'm enjoying Annie on PillowTalk. She's a riot! And her relationship with David is something I never thought I'd say this about, but they have a fun chemistry & are pretty adorbs together.

Nobody actually used it as a euphemism for sex, I coined the term myself when Robert popped in a video for Bryson to watch while he and Anny got busy on the living room couch. I wouldn't be at all surprised if Robert has used the Turtles to babysit Bryson before.

I think this is unfair.  He probably promised her a lot and NEVER mentioned that they would be shopping in a thrift store...a us-ed clothing store.  She had no warning and I completely understand her attitude.  Wearing clothing that belonged to others is something we should decide for ourselves.  Still, she probably is a spoiled bitch.

There is a way to tell someone that you do not wear used clothing and are completely uninterested in shopping in those types of stores. I thought her behavior was disgusting.

I have no doubt he promised her the moon and she's here to collect.

Robert could have said he had a $200 budget for clothing right now. And asked what she would prefer - outlet stores, Old Navy, Target, Kohl’s, TJ Maxx, etc. She would need to say she didn’t mind thrift stores.

If one has time for a discussion, there's a way.  She didn't know what she was getting into.  Even though she tried to tell him after the fact, it didn't seem to make much difference.  He probably thinks clothes are clothes.  They're not dirty, so what's the problem?

Someone on a different thread said the 600 pound people are paid extra for shower scenes, and I believe it, why else would someone further humiliate themselves for an audience?

Do you think Benjamin from Before the 90 also got extra money for his hairy back shower scene? 🤢

Robert had a budget of $100 or less.

Probably less.

There was a place in the garment district of downtown LA....and their schtick was that at the beginning od the month, everything in the store was $14.99.....every couple days they would lower it by a dollar....at the end of the month everything was $1.99.

It reminds me of Robert for some reason.

But I digress....it's possible Robert lied....anny seemed specific....but Robert seems so..... aggressively broke.....I don't know who to believe.

Their real life personalities and living conditions are so much better than what the show depicted. I'm glad that PT is showing some of that.
