Wow, I totally missed that.

As someone with a good income and 1 kid, I simply cannot imagine having 4 kids and a job that doesn't pay well.  How do you afford to live, much less buy your nanny/sex doll an Iphone and designer clothing?

Unless Tracphone starts including the iPhone 10 in their $30 prepaid plans, I don't see one in Anny's future.  And to be honest, I'm not at all sad about that. He's no prize, she's no prize. Quelle surprise. 😉

I can't get past Tania's "my friends are number one", and my husband (and kids too?) will come second. Good luck with that!

In general, this woman is over confident and under competent about life.

That statement was so unhealthy, and I know Tania thinks that it's completely woke and something feminist to say or whatever.  But it really isn't. She is already plotting the downfall of her relationship.

True friends should be there even if your relationship with your SO comes first.  It doesn't mean that you have to be obnoxious about it, but why would any friend want to be a priority over your marriage?

I think Robert gave vague promises like "I'm going to take care of you because you're my lady." I think Anny filled in the details about what take care of you meant because she is materialistic.

IMO, I'm going to take care of you because you're my lady shorty implies a level of care much higher than Robert is providing.  She didn't seem to even complain about the the one bedroom apartment, and not having their own bed,  and seems to love Bryson.

Taking her to buy us-ed clothes was insulting, IMO.  So  was telling her they are going to serve Kraft Mac & Cheese at their wedding (OK, I'm exaggerating).

He could at least say, "Listen, baby  shorty, I would love to be able to give you an iPhone, a nice wedding and clothes that aren't pre-worn, but money is tight right now."

Instead, he treats her like she is a greedy bitch for making a few fairly reasonable requests.

If Mursel knew that Anna had three children, why did he choose to pursue a relationship with her? He could have told her that she was a lovely lady, and that he enjoyed their shared love of bees, but he was not interested in starting a relationship with a woman who had children. The kids are not going to go away, except for maybe a couple of them who will be going to college in a few years.

Do any of the foreigners have an emergency contact? Or enough money saved up or accessible to them to get a plane ticket home? If things are rough and you hate things in your new city/home and your fiancé has told you a pack of lies, get out. Guess it depends how much you are willing to put up with to get the Green Card.

Because he found a woman who would have sex with him.

Syngin is an actual name.  Not with that spelling normally.  Kinda like Ashlee.

"The name St. John is much more usable and exotic in its phonetic spelling--similar to the way St. Clair evolved into Sinclair. St. John has some literary cred--St. John Rivers is a cool character in Jane Eyre."

https://nameberry.com/babyname/Sinjin

From this website...

https://www.behindthename.com/bb/fact/34350

This has come up before, so I'm rephrasing another poster's solid response to the question:

Sinjin is actually an attempt to represent phonetically the now rare name "St. John." As a given-name, "St. John" is sometimes pronounced as [SIN-jin] or [SIN-jun] in the UK. I presume this to be a relic of Norman-French origin (see also Sinclair for St. Claire).

Its spelling is not set in stone, I believe the forms Sinjin, Sinjun and Sinjon have been found.

The name has no 'meaning' in and of itself, but its usage is typically in honor of St. John the Baptist or St. John the Evangelist.

Now I mention just for hilarity's sake, if you've ever seen "A View To A Kill," one of James Bond's aliases is 'St. John Smith.' When someone calls him [SAYNT-jon SMITH] he corrects with the riotously English pronunciation [Sin-jin SMYTHE].

A very famous man plus a popular song at one time.

He talked to her very disrespectfully. He is rude and I think she should have spoken up and then left. It looks like she was prepared to be his all but found out his weak game plan. I think he pursued her with a bunch of lines that may not have been lies but weren’t quite the truth...

If you respect and love someone you don’t call them names like that. I see why some of these people need to find romance outside the country. They have very little appeal and Robert has no “Mack”... he Is definitely not good with people.

But, Anny was upfront with what she wanted and there seems to be a problem with women who do that. She wants things. He lied. His tightwad butt lied and then treated like he found her on the streets.

Exactly.

I’d have had more respect for her if she had’t done a 180 when he pulled out the lingerie. It just enforced his mindset that she’s here to satisfy his sexual needs. Did she verify  that cheap crap was new and/ or up to her designer name standard?

That 180 was whiplash inducing. I do wonder if he made promises to connect her to people in the adult entertainment and exotic modeling industry via Bryson's mom and grandma. I could absolutely picture Robert doing this. Anny doesn't come across as someone who wants to do porn, but she's also very invested in looking and being thought of as sexy. I don't she'd object to taking sexy underwear and bikini pictures as a profession.

I can see it working better in a country where they're using Western alphabet, but in places like Russia where it's Cyrillic alphabet, how is the teacher supposed to communicate with the students?

I studied Russian for 3 years. Food, in all that time, was not covered nor was math. We spent the entire time learning conjugation, geography, history, poetry and it was all very difficult. The alphabet was the easiest thing to learn. But the rebels amongst use did learn, on our own, the words for sex, beer and tea. Unlike French which taught you just a whole well-rounded platform on the language... time, food, words, conjugation, math, etc. So I am sure her not knowing the word for tea was a TV thing. It is very hard to not know the word because it is a place that drinks more tea than coffee and soda.

I was disgusted that she put on the lingerie for sexy times, after spending the day arguing, disappointed.  And this guy has FIVE children?! Run Anny, fast. Sorry Bryson.

My sister adopted my niece from Ukraine in 2003. She’s 21 now and I love her. Anyway, my sister spent about a month there then and yes, had to pay bribes. It was then I learned that it was Ukraine (not the Ukraine, not when my dad was born there, because it was Poland then, but later), and KEEV.

Before reading and watching the rest of this episode...

Okay, so I’m just beginning to watch this episodes and am ready to explode, so while it is on, I’m typing this:

1 - The idiot with the “too good for used clothes” gal deserves everything he gets. He knows what he’s getting. What a bitch.

2 - The new guy in WA. Watching his scene enraged me. WHY is it up to to ONE of the people to cater to every whim of the other? He’s afraid to tell her that he went into debt because of her and a house and other expenses of their relationship. He’s afraid? What? How about the woman and he have a conversation before about the costs. how about the woman saying, “I know how much debt you are going into for this so let’s work together because we want to be together” and appreciating what he has done/is doing? WTF? Instead it is all about “I want what I want” and don’t care about the pressure or burden that it puts on you. Doesn’t that attitude kinda prove that these people are not really looking for love? I’m crazed watching this here…

In those moments when she was being demanding and he was being a dick about it, I did feel sorry for her, worried about what she would do, where she could go, in a foreign country, etc. And then I remembered they were filming a tv show at the same time, and getting paid to do so. So I popped by cynic shield back on and started side eyeing the whole thing.

Still, both terrible.

She is a horrible mother, and I bet you anything she contemplated leaving her kids at one point and moving to Turkey to be with him. Probably was gonna push off on her mother. But then they decided on him coming here "to see if it would work" first and then if not, she would move there. I bet you my house. Her dumb ass smile and passive nature as she just SITS THERE like a stupid log, while her kids are being disrespected- tells me everything I need to know about what type of mother she is. They're both selfish assholes. And no way could this be just an "act" for the show. What mother would admit to such a horrible storyline if not true? Her poor kids deserve better.

She's already disconnected from her older two, who are adolescents or approaching adolescence. They don't need her any more--she only likes babies and little kids. She admitted openly that Leo, the youngest, is her favorite! What mother does that??

The words shopping spree and thrift store should never be in the same sentence. He could have at least taken her to Forever 21 or Ross. Sure, she could've got bags of shit she dare not wash more than twice, but at least it wouldn't have been as insulting.

I am no fan of Anny, but dusty ass Robert has no business bringing over another dependent when he can barely take care of the one(s) he got. Seriously, after seeing that apt, Robert's clothes and 1 bd apt, did Anny really think she was getting Chanel and Versace?

Sequim guys property looks nice but was there any mention of what he grows on his farm? I can see how he has a money management problem though. I noticed a few recreational vehicles and also that lovely seating area by the pond, with build in grill, beautiful paver stones, etc., looked like it cost a penny or two. I somehow doubt it came with the property when he bought it.

Anny would have loved Forever 21. Robert is an inconsiderate, uncouth boor. She should run.

Washington dude's property does seem pretty fancy for a young broke guy. I still wonder why he was spending money to dye the pond. Surely there are other things that are more important?

He had said something about "in my culture, it's not okay to have children without being married" which makes me wonder, WAS Anna married and then divorced from the boys' father or never married?

They cleverly glossed over that. Just said "their father is no longer in their lives" or whatever. IDK why she'd have three kids w/ a guy and not marry him....but bringing a stranger here from literally halfway across the world and marry him within 90 days. Makes no sense.

I swear I'm not defending Robert, but looking at crappy knock offs, knowing how many crappy knock offs Darcey wears, and knowing Robert is from Brooklyn, I wonder if he was bragging about and offering to get Anny "Gucci," "Chanel," abd "Versace" from Canal street or a similar place in Florida. Perhaps Anny not being familiar with the states misunderstood.

I have a hard time believing that Robert promised Anny with the specificity that she recounted and with the implication that he'd be paying full price retail because he's so loudly aggressively cheap and demanding. However, I fully think he's capable of being suggestive like "You don't have to worry about anything. I'll take care of you" and "I know all the dudes on Canal Street. They got Louis, Gucci, Versace, Prada, Chanel. They hook me up. I can get whatever." That sounds like something he'd pull.

This is just based on how he responded to her saying "you promised me that we'd go shopping" with a "and technically we did." He's used to playing these games of semantics. If he said anything about designer items, he's probably crafty enough to not promise authenticity or newness.

He's usually just "babe", as in, "Babe, grab me a drink?" And he calls me the same or "hon". We use each other's names when we talk to other people about each other (or our proper titles of The Husband and The Wife) but not to each other. It feels weirdly unnatural to use our names like that.

LoL...I've officially turned into my mother....my husband is now always called "dad" for the last 7 years. I'll yell to him in public "hey dad!!" And i think people look at us like 🤔 but usually our at least one of our kids are in tow so it kind of provides context.

"My love" and "baby" on this show though?- just gives me the "generic/fishing for a sucker" vibe.

LOL - that "lingerie" was wrapped in some butcher paper and was in a basic non-branded gift bag.  There is a good chance that it wasn't even as fancy as Fredrick's of Hollywood.

Golly gee, where to start?

Since I didn't participate in the live convo, I'll jump in right now and say HELL YES I want the Ritz Carlton experience when I have kids. I spent most of my first pregnancy in England and I came back to the US to deliver. In my last delivery, the hospital even provided a prime rib dinner (catered) with candles for me and my husband on my last night there. Pao can GTFO with her home birth. Good for her, I'm sure it wasn't easy, but it doesn't make my delivery or anyone else's somehow less meaningful or less painful.

Michael is totally getting off on having a young, pretty good from a poverty-stricken home so he can GTFO, too. I am totally rooting for Juliana. She seems lovely. And this whole nonsense with drama from his ex is just that-nonsense. A storyline just like the will she/won't she get the visa.

Robert's an immature prick (he speaks to his girlfriend in the same manner in which he speaks to his toddler and it's inappropriate for either). I had a hard time rooting for Anny because she was rude to the store clerk, but I also understood how she might feel. This guy is a major douche, and so far she has more points simply for the way in which she treated Bryson.

Mursel and Anna HAVE to be faking this crap, right? RIGHT?! So she spent 6 weeks with him in Turkey and presumably met his family and the subject of her kids never came up? Two things are going on here...Either the whole thing is fabricated to give them a storyline (and that's awful in its own sense) or Mursel is a crazy psycho who is biding his time until he can take her back to his country and chain her up in his superior Turkish basement. Seriously. A man actually told her that he wanted her to leave her kids and go to him in another country? NO. Why would she even be with him after that? And in his talking head he said they'd have to stay in America "for a little while." Dude is still planning on dumping the kids and whisking her back there. This is not good.

Along with a dating service for the B characters of this series, can we also buy a group home so that we can start taking in these poor kids?

I love trash reality like 90 Day and Love After Lockup, but I like to cleanse the palate with higher quality stuff, and Couples Therapy on Showtime is fascinating.  Four couples seen repeatedly over nine episodes by a whip smart therapist.   It’s sad that the thread here on that show is so meager.

Anny leaves most of her clothing in the DR because she expects Robert to buy her an entire wardrobe. Meanwhile Juliana, who is with Michael who can afford to buy her a new wardrobe, shows up with her entire wardrobe in 4 suitcases. Juliana looks like she's in it for the long haul unlike Anny.

That necklace was ugly, the Hummer was hideous, and Michael is getting off on Juliana's youth and poverty. Luckily Juliana seems like a nice person; she seemed legitimately and sincerely enthused by the kids making breakfast and cake. I love that Juliana dressed like how a normal person would if they were going to be on an 8 hour flight because she just got off an 8 hour flight. Take note Darcey.
