Julianna, if they are asking you those kind of questions then they have a reason for doing so.   Now they have to provide a police report.  Why is there a police report?  He emphatically said she's NOT a prostitute.  That much money, these guys at yacht parties probably consider these girls/models as just part of the party.  I'm guessing an escort is no big deal because they're arm candy and we've worked hard to make this money, we deserve pretty things.  A prostitute is probably seen as something you get off the corner and don't talk about.  An escort is like "Pretty Woman" and she is taken out and shown off like a date.  Sorry, I'm rambling.

Possibly I can answer that one.  Many years ago we adopted our son in Central America, and one of the things that was required was a "police report" - in our case, the other country required that our county sheriff's office provide them with a report that neither of us had a criminal record, and no untoward events at our house.  It may be a thing like, that, where her home town's police would review and see if there was any record on her.  It sounded kind of the same, although coming after a poor interview, maybe in this case it is the next step to see if there is a shred of a chance.

I do not see how Anna would be delighted with Murcel enough to invite him here, when he is so anti her kids (for the variety of reasons, including her moving to Turkey and leave the kids out, him to USA but keeping them secret, or even him possibly leaving if his parents find out).

Emily, listen to Masha.

Robert, at least your friend from the DR was a good enough friend to speak some truth to you.  Maybe she would work out, but your one bed working-class lifestyle puts the odds higher that after she gets the card, she splits.  Next week is shopping at a used clothing store, and she is a firm No over that.

I'm still no fan of Tania, and I'm glad for the previews of Syngn feeling like just a character in her story.

Juliana being turned down twice for tourist visas is hugely negative.  I would think that means she has a criminal record, or has traveled to countries she shouldn't have (ME) to get into the USA.

You couldn't advise Juliana to dress like a professional - a skirt suit/pant suit/dress for her immigration interview?

Good point.

But then again, few people on this show tend to think ahead much.

Murcel SUCKS and so does Anna. What kind of man asks a woman to LEAVE her kids? And what kind of woman entertains him after that?!???? Anna is giving me Danielle Jbali vibes. Weird smiling at inappropriate times. They both seem a can shy of a six pack. Fucking idiots.

I was just telling friends that she reminds me of Danielle. This is not going to end well.

The jury is out on mursel for me.

Who goes to someone's home to have a first meal and immediately shit talks the food?

I think that's just kinda rude.  I wouldn't even expect that from Anna's kids if they were in Turkey.

He also couldn't be bothered to get his own luggage from the car?  Or even help to bring up his own luggage?  Something about that rubs me wrong.

He also couldn't bring his plate up to the kitchen.  I can understand if he was there for a visit....but he is supposed to be living there forever.....is he never going to do the dishes or bus his plate?

He couldn't even try to play the video game with the kids?  How is he planning on becoming their friend?  Are things going to only be on his terms?,. They can only be friends if the kids want to do things he wants to do?

I just thought he was trying to make a cameraman eat the rest of his slice!

When you apply for your immigrant visa. You're supposed to provide the embassy with police record checks from every country you've lived in for over 6 months after the age of 16. So, even though they said they had all their paperwork in order (they didn't)... they were refused for a good reason and not the prostitution question. I've had friends who've brought the incorrect police record check and because the paperwork is easy to get in Korea, they just go to the police station closest to the US Embassy in Seoul and have it printed out and are given the green light a few hours later.

Tania and Syngina are going to be extra thirsty couple of this season. Strong player vibes from him. He's like Jesse. He wants to be a STAR. He tosses his hair around like Fabio in a wind tunnel. He's going to get bored of bossy bitch, and her obnoxious nervous laugh. I don't get her fan club friends who snapped to attention with the flower petals, the champagne and the stupid poster. Didn't seem healthy that they were in the hotel room waiting to be excused. It looked like they wanted to stay and watch.

Syngjin was way too extra. WOW! I'm in AMERICA I am just a BOY from THE BUSH but now I am in THE CONCRETE JUNGLE! Look at all the BRIGHT LIGHTS! This is ALL SO AMAZING!!!

He sounds like a little kid not a 29 year old man.

I don’t understand why Juliana was denied a Visa when Anfisa was allowed to come here.  Maybe if Juliana came from Eastern Europe it would be okay.

I don't think she was denied. She has some paperwork outstanding so, next episode they will probably go back to the embassy.

I would think post-9/11 New York airports especially would have a low tolerance for hijinx.  I was wondering about him dropping his bags so far away and running at her.  I suppose the camera crew provides some cover.

She seems kinda skinny and flat to be a swimsuit model.  What exactly does she model?

Juliana is very pretty, but she is as flat as the plains between Chicago and Nebraska.

Didn’t Nicole fuck up her wedding to Azan by only having a copy of her “criminal history” instead of the original?

If this paper is so important why didn’t she just get it after her first denial?

What was Robert thinking, bringing this woman from the DR over without having ever considered that his son sleeps with him in the only bed in the apartment?? Did he not anticipate wanting some alone time with Anny? Did he not even bother telling her she'd be sharing a double bed with him AND HIS SON?

And does Robert discipline his child AT ALL? Free range children grow up to be a-hole adults. Based on the previews, it looks like he puts his foot down with Anny, (presumably because she decided she's too good to thrift shop) but his son continues to be wild and hyperactive. That kid needs some structure. And also maybe some Ritalin.

I agree, however it is my understanding that Turkey is kinds Muslim Light on some things, so.....?  But either way Mursel is just weird to me.  Sitting there, with an odd glaze in his eyes, probably thinking about getting out of Nebraska.

To think (and please no throwing tomatoes) I kinda liked Robert AT FIRST.  In the previews!!!  Now - full on stop.  You want an unpaid Nanny/FB TO SHARE A BED WITH YOU AND YOUR SON and you proposed after eight hours.  Your homeboy from the DR warned you but no......here we go.  As soon as it became clear I was going to co-sleep with a four year old, I would have been gone.  I would have asked that question before landing but hey that is me.   As for Robert, once she sent 1000 mad emojis I would have stopped right there.  You can't call and talk?  Are we in middle school?  Oh wait......

I am dying over the whole sleeping situation! I mean, I have to say, who would have even thought to ASK if the kid had his own bed, I would just assume that. Of course, the premise of this franchise is going in blindly whenever possible, but this is a new low. Ben #2, a broke fool with a child and NO BUSINESS bringing over a foreign bride.

Maybe, and she’s so hot he just might dump his kids and go live in Brazil for a skinny piece of ass that will take him to the poor house eventually.  Everything comes down to sex with these guys.  She must have done some number on him on that yacht he found her on.  Apparently, the U.S.A. Immigration Bureau must see thousands of them.  Lol.

The most animated Mursel was when he was dancing to Turkish music in the car.  I laughed out loud because it was like watching a musical when he started dancing.  I don't know what he expected when he landed in America but it definitely wasn't flat Nebraska.

I think Bryson is actually a very cute kid who is starved for affection, and maybe attention. The way he was clinging onto nAnny was kinda heartbreaking to me. And I would bet that Robert has filled his little head with ideas about Anny coming to be his new Mommy. But Robert better get another bed for him and hopefully not a used one from Sally Ann.

I felt bad for him when he was in bed calling her saying "I want Anny to snuggle with me".  Poor thing he just wants love.   I have no doubt his idiot father told him Anny would be his new mommy,

He expected big cities, music, niteclubs, lots of people having fun and dancing.  He should have done his homework.  I don’t give two shits for each one of them two, it’s the three boys I feel sorry for.  A stranger in the house, doing nothing but sitting around and complaining the pizza wasn’t good.  WTF?

Yes - and to be answered with "Here let me plug in the Ninja Turtles" - okay.  Let's regroup.  You told him Anny was coming to be his new de facto mom.  Play that angle up big, my man!  So she gets here, it is now bedtime and Bryson legit asks for Anny to snuggle him to sleep.  He is met with agitated dad offering to plug him into the tv.  Nice message.  You guys wanna bone so bad?  Get a sitter and go to a motel.    Even getting him his own bed (TODAY!) and putting him in the living room, think of how displaced he is going to be.  I am all for these fools to find love, but when you out your kids in the middle of it - LITERALLY IN THE MIDDLE - please stop.   Robert gives so many mixed messages:  "Anny is gonna love you - but she just called you a monster."  All his messages are mixed except for those coming from Robert, Jr.

I got the sense that Michael was drawing the line at moving to Brazil or anywhere outside the US for Juliana.    When she brought up options like London, he seemed to get quiet and say things like, "We'll need to rethink things."   I took that to mean that if she can't get a visa, he will look for another way too young woman.

I noticed that too.   Not that I give Tania much benefit of the doubt, but I wonder if that is the way she and Syngin spell his pet name for her (which I have little doubt she gave herself).

The alternative is that neither Tania, either of her friends or the worker at the print shop know how to spell, "sugar".

It annoyed me that they were sitting there speculating over everything.  Approved?  Denied?  Worrying will not help.  Go out to a nightclub (can she get it in Brazil at 20?) and talk when the decision comes through.  If she gets denied you can either break up or go long distance.  The choice is yours!

I am thinking that Michael and Juliana might have played up her supposed offense at the prostitution question, for dramatic purposes.   It is a standard question on the visa application along with questions about terrorism, plots to overthrow the government, drug trafficking, etc.

It was interesting that Michael claimed the interviewer asked if she was working as an "escort" when they met.  She might have been legally and legitimately an escort paid to hang out with men on yachts, but not necessarily to have sex with them.   If this was the case, I wonder how that would affect her ability to get a visa.

It is natural for them to worry, plus I am sure they do it for the cameras to create drama and suspense.  She is 22 so I assume she could get into a club.

It seemed clear to me that Michael will break up with her, if she can't get the visa.   I'm sure she will get it, so we can have some cringe worthy scenes with her and Michael in Greenwich.

Exactly.  I don't care what country you're in or from, you can take your own bags out of the car, you can bring your own plate to the kitchen, you can take interest in a video game and you can pretend the food is good.

Mursel - a grown ass man, couldn't even bring his own bags up?  He did not bring even one of his bags up, he did not offer to bring his bags up and I'm not sure he coughed out a thank you.

This is the one instance where I can say Americans on this show are generally better behaved than this guy.

He gets a pass because he seems pleasant and mentally slow, but I found his behavior when he met the boys wayyyyy off-putting.

I thought Anna's boys were very well behaved and gracious.  They were open and asked questions that could have been conversation starters, but instead turned into mursel insulting the food.

They asked him to play video games with them, and that could have been a chance to bond.  When I play with my 9 year old nephew I'm awful, but he likes having someone to play with, he likes explaining the game, the story behind the game and teaching me moves.

Obviously, I just keep pushing all the buttons at once and hoping for the best.

But mursel wouldn't even so much as touch the controller.

Quite a few times julianna mentioned that she wanted to get to the US and didn't want Michael to "give up on her"

Putting two and two together I think she knows that he if he can't get her to the US to be his young trophy wife he will simply move on to the next model/student/yacht girl.

She is 23 now....that is ridiculously young but I'm sure with the men she wants there are always younger/prettier girls on the scene.
