Problem is Robin worked better on her own, or with Barney.  

Ted was actually the least developed of the characters.

He was one of the only consistently good things on HIMYM.

With the phenomenal success of Barbie, I was reminded that Greta Gerwig almost was the original lead in the first (failed) spinoff, How I Met Your Dad. (Of course, the title was tweaked to How I Met Your Father and did get made!)

Talk about falling upwards!
