Tori and Bobby: Whine Time!

I just looked at the Instagram announcement and gosh darn, Tori and Bobby make some pretty babies. They remind me of Zach and Whit, another couple whose features combine really well in their kids.

Does Tori have the clotting disorder? I worry for this girl, with all the back-to-back pregnancies.

Yes, I recall footage from the show when she was pregnant with either #1 or #2 where it was discussed/shown. She also sees Dr. Vick unless she changed to a specialist with #3.

Tori's first pregnancy had no complications, the clotting disorder showed up with her second pregnancy.  Evidently she has no worries about possible complications, given that each pregnancy seems to be spaced even closer to the previous one- the new baby will be 14 months younger than Charlotte.

She really is gorgeous, and she doesn't wear as much makeup as her sisters, or seem to care too much about her wardrobe.  And her kids are just adorable.

She is a bit of a mystery to me- on the show she came across as whiny, immature, and self-centered.  But she rarely posts anything on social media (her Instagram account is not even verified), and she seems to have taken a deep dive into the Kool-Aid.  I can see her pumping out the biggest number of kids, if her body will allow her to do so.

I think it's been "compelling" watching Tori become a mother because was never compelled by her in any other way. I think he's positively surprised that he has fallen in love with her or at least with their life. I mean it was clear how annoyed he was by her when dating, engaged, at the wedding, and even on the honeymoon. He clearly was the typical Christian college grad who felt like OMG I need to marry ASAP, I can't stay a virgin forever. And because he was led around by best friend Kelton who had his life all planned out and was going back to Knox after graduation, well wouldn't it be nice to meet a Tenn. girl and then I'd get to do life with my bestie. Well just so happens the mega family he's trying to marry into has another daughter for me to, great, I'll take that one . . . .

Except that one [like the rest of them] had no idea who she was at the time and thus was led around by Carlin - acting loud, obnoxious etc., which clearly did NOT match his personality. But whatever she wants to marry me ASAP, let's go.

He's lucky that Tori really has found herself, and it turns out her true place is mothering - she actually seems to have a heart for children much like Michaela and doesn't seem like she's just having kids for status or to carry them around like Gucci bags like Carlin/Alyssa. And he seems to LOVE being a dad - like the smile definitely reaches the eyes now in a way that it did not when he was dating/marrying Tori. He's going to be 26 with 4 kids under age 4-5 and he looks no where near as stressed/aged as Chad ever did at his age. I think he'd be content to end up with 6-10 kids. I imagine it works for him bc he's at work all day, he gets home around 5ish and then it's play with the kids and divide and conquer to get them all fed/bathed/in bed with Bible stories within 3 hrs. At that point both of them are so tired, how much are they really talking to each other? And it's rinse and repeat the next day and it seems like he'd be content to keep repeating that for the next decade as they have kids 5-10.

It prob also works for him that as Tori has become calmer and quieter, she's gravitated towards the quieter/more religious sisters with like minded husbands; I can see him being content hanging out with Chad and Brandon. When he wants a bit more light hearted joking around, Zach lives 2 minutes up the road still. And then there's bestie Kelton at work, and given that he works in a 15 person company made up of all young guys - I assume he's picked up a few friends at work too. So yeah I think life came together for him bc it turned out he loves dad life and ended up with a wife who loves birthing babies yearly.

Yes, she was photographed at the hospital a couple of months ago when Carlin had her baby and was visibly pregnant so they posted an announcement soon after.

I want to say they announced on Mother's Day.

Wow, they're already on number four.  I hope some of this generation find a new hobby soon.

Last I knew they were expecting #2, which feels like it was just a few months back.  4?!$!!!!

Is that a boy or a girl and was it very early?

It's a girl. She announced that on Mother's Day, IIRC. Don't remember if they gave an exact due date, but since she has the clotting disorder, I'd guess she was 2-3 weeks early. Everyone is healthy.

I've heard of Cambria (I think that's the name of Courtney Roger's-- fundie with a dozen C kids-- youngest), so maybe "Cambree" is the cutesy, you-nique version of that...

Ugh. Any name ending in the tacky double E is just 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️.

My DIL has a name not traditionally spelled with a y, but her parents threw one in there. She hates it-her name is always misspelled or mispronounced. So while I have seen the name Layne before (and, dating myself and outing my music preferences, I immediately think Layne Staley when I see it), I wonder how many are going to feel like she does later on. When my son & DIL were having kids, "no superfluous y" was one of their rules in choosing names.

I don't know what to say about Cambree.

@Turquoise, Layne is Tori's middle name, so there's precedent there.

Yes, apparently it is. I looked up the list of Bates kids and the majority of name combinations are...not something I would choose. Warden Justice is particularly bad.
I guess now one of Cambree's kids will have to carry on with the Layne.

I doubt they know about California. I even doubt they know about the more famous Cambria in England. 😂

Or that England is a part of the UK, an island, and part of Europe, a continent.

They think it does. But these are idiots who named their other son Kolter. 🫣

In what world does it mean the 4th? Is there some connection I’m not getting? I see they’re following in the Kartrashians’ steps with the K names.

Robert Ellis Smith IV is nicknamed Kade, just like Erin's Charles Steven Paine IV is Carson. Although Carson isn't too much of a reach from Charles, and of course Chad is the 3rd. I think Bobby and Tori just liked the name.

As for his name, Bobby and Tori told Entertainment Tonight on June 21 that they had already decided to call him Kade before he was born. And when it comes to the Latin connection behind that name, it’s not entirely clear where Tori and Bobby got their information. According to Baby Name Wizard, the name Cade, “is derived from an Old English nickname for something or someone lumpy or rotund.” It’s possibly also from the Late Middle English cade, described as “a young animal abandoned by its mother and raised by hand.” That second meaning makes it kind of an odd choice for a newborn.

Traditionally Layne is the feminine form of the name and Lane is the masculine. I have a 70 year old sister named Layne and a sprinkling of nieces and great nieces with Layne as their middle name.

I wonder which one came up with Kade. If they loved it so much they didn't have to name him Robert the IV, V or whatever? It kind of sticks out with Kolter, Charlotte and Cambree. Are they on a K theme for boys and C theme for girls? I guess that depends on what the next baby is named. But I kind off feel like Kolter and Cambree are all Tori. While Robert and Charlotte are Bobby's picks. Although did he pick Kade or was that Tori?

I don't hate name. Kolter throws me more because it makes me thing of Kohler faucets. Maybe Kohler will be boy number three?

Boy number 5: Kaden (it feels inevitable)

Boy number 6: Kameron.

Boy number 7: Karate.

Girl number 5: Chelsee

Girl number 6: Cereal (misspelled from Cyrielle, but Tori was homeschooled by morons, so doesn't realize it)

Girl number 7: Caylee

I'm afraid that Charlotte is going to be the only kid who gets a normal name.

This has always been my favorite name for a girl. Then Chelsea Clinton and the Royals stole it, lol. But I HATE the nickname “Char.”
