S06.E08: Deal With The Devil

The Feds turn the heat up on Tommy and bend the rules to scare LaKeisha into cooperating. Ghost discontinues a relationship with an ally. Tasha confronts a snitch, which hits a little too close to home.

See ya Keisha! Wierd she survived all those years in the city only to get killed in the suburbs. Those two looked liked they rehearsed the fight scene for 2 minutes before the filming (well done ladies).

The show kept trying to hint for weeks (with Holly mentions) Tommy will end up killing Keisha but had it be Tasha.

If the director wanted sympathy for Tommy with that last scene, they didn't get it from me.

Too bad for Cash for losing his mom. Now Tommy will think Ghost was responsible for her death and the truce is broken again (what else is new).

I wonder what excuse the show will have for Cash to longer be living with Tommy. Now Kate can have a closer room to him.

Will the girl at the Keisha's salon find a way to slip word to Tommy she gave Tasha the address? I doubt Tasha will mention it was her that killed Keisha during their weekly smoke sessions in the car.

Saxe easily could have shown his door was broken and Ghost and Tommy had to be on surveillance walking into his building. He doesn't have neighbors that heard all the comotion?

How does Ghost expect Saxe to give him information on Tariq? He knows he is not a fed anymore. I don't understand keeping him alive.

Mr. Radnor and Blanca knows about Tariq selling at Chote but no mention from the principal at Callister? I guess if the tuition checks clears, he is fine with Tariq being there.

Ridiculous for Radnor to leave his statements in his classroom's desk drawer. Now Tariq is a master sleuth , expert at car/door break ins and placing drugs in the trunk in broad daylight!

Tasha's mom walks in to see stacks of cash and has to learn Tariq is now the game with Tasha's approval. That poor woman!

Good job Cash for keeping your mouth shut to Tommy, very good job Ghost for not escorting Blanca out the club (just leave her behind to take the glass or if she wanted to, make a drink for herself) and super good job Blanca for not bringing Keisha in and trusting she will just drive herself in.

Blanca did not overhear what Ghost was telling Tommy over the phone?

So Ghost didn't forsee the Queens Child Project going down with the stunt he pulled on Tate? No court naming for you Tariq. I was hoping to see Ghost and Tate have a fight.

Lorette Walsh hasn't done her homework on Ghost's background? She can't find someone else with a clean record?

Poor poor Cash. My heart breaks for him this episode. Tommy is batshit crazy but there is humanity in him, he didn’t want Cash to see that. Lakeisha wtf. You have to be all in the life or all out. I was wondering if Tommy was going to suggest marriage so she wouldn’t be forced to testify against him. But running was never going to work. She should’ve just told Tommy everything, arranged for Cash to stay with a relative out of state or something so they couldn’t use him to threaten her. (At least for the time being) She didn’t deserve to die like that though.

I understand Ramona wanting some exciting dick after her divorce and all but goodness James ain’t worth all that. Fuck him and move on!!! Don’t let this man ruin your career.

The only good thing about this season is that old plot lines are finally coming home to roost. I cannot believe they left Saxe alive.

I don’t feel bad for her. What did she think would happen? She knew James was a big time drug dealer when they got married. She wanted Tasha to stay with him after all the shit he put her through. Was she really surprised that Tariq turned to dealing?!!

I get that Lakeisha was wanting to get Cash back right away, but it's not like a friend of the family couldn't have gotten him released into their custody. She was a fool to sign and should have gotten on the phone with an attorney and just followed the police car.  She just buckled with zero hesitation. If you were that worried about things being messy for your child, perhaps Tommy wasn't the ideal boyfriend? But let her tell it, he was going to retire from the game and they'd all live in the suburbs. I don't feel sorry for her at all. But my heart did break for Cash.

I was happy to see Tate come back at Ghost. Ghost always thinks he can do whatever and just walk away clean and smug.

Kate knows she is a fool trying to move up in that house. I bet the second she finds out Keisha is gone, mommy dearest with be back with bells on and a pan of lasagna.

Just to be clear, I meant "poor woman" seeing Tariq. All is lost with Tasha.

With Tariq, grandma doesn't get to see him a lot and probably views him as a spoiled but good kid, going to school. I'm sure she didn't think Raina would follow the parent's path, so why couldn't she think the same for him?

Also, is this the first time Tasha has killed someone? I wonder how this will affect her.

Also that person used to be her friend. Not someone actively threatening her(or the kids) or a stranger but her former friend begging her to think of her son.

All this to save Tariq, who was the entire reason Raina was murdered by Raymond. When Lakeisha was the alibi!!!And then instead of you know, telling his parents, he kills Raymond and makes more trouble. You know after what’s his name was killed- Lobos, Tariq has been the big bad behind all of this!

I think in Tasha’s mind Keisha was a threat to Tariq especially when she found out Keisha signed those papers. Once she recants on the Tariq alibi its the beginning of the end for him or so Tasha thinks.

Wonder what she’s gonna do when she finds out there is physical evidence tying Tariq to Ray Ray.

Didn't expect  LaKeisha to die at hand of her former BFF.

Tasha went Full Measure, things can't end well for her now.

Poor Cash, where will he go now?

Favorite moment, Tate getting caught on a hot mic.

ROTFLMAO!

Yes I agree with you- I meant an active physical threat. Tasha didn’t shoot a Kanaan type or something, but her friend who was laying on the ground begging.

Without Lakeisha’s testimony will they be able to get a warrant for Tariq’s DNA?

Yes, Tate is so fucking dumb. Even if he didn’t know he was being set up- who says things like that in a PUBLIC FORUM where anyone could hear you?? It’s not like he was in his own office or at home! Also he fucked that guy’s wife- did he really think he was going to just “let it go”? On a pure social level?

GHAT DAMMIT Saxe was so close to getting his! I figured it was only a matter of time before Lakeisha got killed, but there's a list of people that need/deserve to go before her. I feel bad for Cash.

Tariq is not worth the headache, y'all!

I worked with someone who kept her personal credit card bills in her office - not even in her desk. I suspect she was hiding them from her husband (lots of Barney's charges!), but of course I never mentioned to her that I'd seen them.

Not only did he fuck Derek's wife, he did it IN THEIR HOUSE. Hell yeah he wanted revenge!

Me too. Dad in jail, mom dead. Tommy has no legal claim on him so he's probably going into the system, after all that. And I did feel bad for Keisha - she really really REALLY was not about that life (she looked shocked at the idea that their house was bought with drug money, like, girl, come the fuck on).

She didn't know what she really wanted. She kept acting like she was about it because she wanted his attention and was so intimidated by his relationship with Tasha. But she really didn't want to get her hands dirty. I don't know why she was so determined to fake the funk. She should have just left when he told her to. She just didn't want to admit to herself or the rest of them that she wasn't about that life. I knew it wasn't for her but I didn't think she'd roll over that fast. She didn't even wait to be put in cuffs or taken to the station before she went to signing papers without reading them.

And was anyone suprised that Cash immediately told Tommy what happened? Lol

She should have known that was going to happen.

Well, sista girl Tameika gets to dress better now that she's no longer on the government payroll.

I guess Tariq's teacher wants to die. He doesn't really know who he's messing with. Be funny if it turned out he's undercover or a CI.

Grandma: The only thing that will save Tariq is Jesus!
Jesus: I don't know him.

James is beyond delusional if he thinks he can have a political career. How does he expect his criminal past to remain a secret? He'd have to kill off everyone he'd ever dealt with, including Tariq. Oh, wait...🤔

Keisha probably wouldn't have been able afford the property taxes on that house even if there is no mortgage. But maybe she coud've sold it and bought something smaller.

And now Tommy is going to kill Tasha so hard. Unless he assumes James killed Keisha. Because of course he will.

How many people must die or have their lives ruined over Tariq's stupid ass?  The craziest part is James and Tasha know he's not worth a damn, but will do anything and everything to save his dumb ass.  It's not even parental love... it's their guilt over Raina's death or having set a bad example for the idiot.

Ghost and Tommy have amazing luck in that they keep choosing to commit crimes in buildings that have no video of the people walking in and out of them.

Tommy deserves his revenge.  I hereby offer up Tariq.  Drop him off of the Empire State Building ass first onto the world's biggest foot.

@Joimiaroxeu no Ghost has never served time (outside of waiting for trial on Greg’s murder), but it’s well known he was a corner boy back in the day with no college education.

Yes this entire thing is about guilt over Raina. Tasha should let Tariq go to prison and focus on raising Yaz, but of course I understand why as a mother she isn’t doing that.

@andreamf15 I think Keisha enjoyed the fact that Tommy saved her from that Serbian guy and the sex was good. I think they were both lonely and looking for someone, but Tommy was upfront about who he was, Keisha and Cash should’ve left when Tommy offered in Season 3/4(I think that was it)

While I knew Keisha was gonna die, I didn't see the bullet coming from Tasha.  I have to say the show definitely surprised me there.  But man, Keisha has never been bout that life and played too many goddamn games.  What did she think Tommy would do when he came home with Cash and saw all their bags packed?  She was a through and through idiot. All I got for her is a

real housewives porsha stewart GIF by RealityTVGIFs

Although I did tear up, just a tiny bit, when Cash came out of the car with the flowers.  Must have been some dust floating around.

You'd think Ghost learned his lesson about not wearing gloves when doing criminal activities the last time a Fed ended up dead and he went to jail for it.  He didn't have on any gloves while he was moving chairs and pulling plastic bags on and off Saxe's head.  Like wtf?!?!  Also, how many damn lives does Saxe have? He's like a goddamn roach.  Loved that his boss was still like, "don't give a fuck, you still fired."  Lol!

My one saving grace on this show was that Blanca is actually competent enough to get Tariq.  But then she let Keisha give her the "I'll come in on my own," nonsense.  Hopefully it was a minor slip up.

Oh Tate. Once the mic package has been attached to you, keep your damn mouth shut! That's media training 101. Dummy!

I could actually see how a strategist could spin that, and the Greg thing too. For all the public knows, he was wrongfully accused. So his is a story of a young Black man growing up in a tough neighborhood and making a way out of no way, becoming successful, and beating a trumped-up charge. "I've seen the inner workings of the justice system firsthand, and it is now my mission to reform it to be more equitable," blah blah blah.

Of course, WE know all the dirt he's actually done, and were he to enter any kind of race, it would be too risky to have people digging into his background (I hate Tariq but I did laugh when he was like "Y'all don't do background checks?"), and he's made about a million enemies who would be quick to sell him out, but a decent strategist could spin the stuff the public knows about.

No! I kept waiting for Keisha to specify not to tell anyone, including Tommy, what happened. When she didn't, I was like, so of COURSE he's going to tell Tommy.

No James wasn’t at the penthouse- that’s the apartment he was staying in when Tasha kicked him out but before he was living with Angela (or trying to).

Note to self....never watch Power Confidential before watching the actual episode!

In just one minute I found out that Lakeisha was killed by Tasha dammit!  At any rate I watched the episode and....

Rashad, Rashad, Rashad....ALL your business was hung out for everyone to hear.  If I were him I'd get Derek back, I don't care that he tapped his wife's ass over and over.

Tommy and Ghost should have killed Saxe, now dude has nothing to lose.

Ghost stays overplaying his hand. I don't know what his endgame was with setting up Tate. He's the guy with the connections to get your project off the ground, and you piss him off? Why?

Ramona is thirsty. I get it, but sis, you know someone like Ghost would not fly in politics. His past is problematic AF. He looks great in a suit and you can hold a conversation with him, great, go out for dinner, have the sex, and leave it at that.

Keisha, Keisha, Keisha. Girl folded too quick. First of all, the legalities of that stop were non existent. You're signing paperwork a) without a lawyer present, b) without reading what you're signing, c) you haven't been charged with anything d) your Miranda rights haven't been said. They had nothing concrete. It was all speculation until proven otherwise.

And girl, you really thought Tommy had a mortgage on that house? He ain't got no (legal) job, man!

It makes all the sense in the world that Tariq would shit where he eats again and sell drugs at school. It's even more sensible that he would rope his teacher into it./sarcasm.

Ghost and Tommy will rue the day that they left Saxe alive. And word to the poster upthread that mentioned them not wearing gloves! Shit, not even a face mask. So dumb.

I think you mean Ramona (Loretta is the older white woman candidate). But yes. Ramona is thirsty as fuck.

What’s wrong with her??? I totally understand wanting some sex (cause James is FINE AS HELL) and maybe some company at dinner (especially after her divorce), but don’t throw your entire career away over a piece of shady dick.

I’m not a mother, but I do understand being freaked the fuck out when they put Cash in the car. But Keisha wasn’t a lawyer or a criminal- she panicked. What I don’t get was her not telling Tommy about it RIGHT AWAY and then lawyering up. Maybe sending Cash to stay with a relative out of state if you were afraid. RUNNING?!! And then thinking about pulling a gun on Tasha? You were way out of your league Keisha- RIP.

Even knowing that Omari Hardwick is short (I'm tall; I love tall men), I would still hit that like the wrath of God. That scene where he was looking up at Tommy after he said Tommy still owed him for Angela ... he had this look on his face like GODDAMN.

How short is he? He’s not that short comparing him to all the women with heels on.

Maybe 5’8/5’9? They may put lifts in his shoes. I think he may appear shorter than he is because his shoulders are so broad, compared to a guy like Larenz Tate who’s what I call a “petite man”, small in stature and slim, vs a guy who’s wider (muscular) but not super tall.

I remember one of the posters here saying she'd seen them filming the show and she was surprised by how short he is. In this clip he's talking to Tasha, who is only five feet tall according to Google (which I believe; she's clearly very small) and she's wearing heels here (she usually is). I would guess he's 5'7"-5'8." (I'm about 5'9" and if I can get it, I prefer men over six feet. I had a brief thing with a man who was 6'6" and he was a pretty ridiculous dude overall - hence "brief" - but his height was a turn-on.)

I agree with you re: Omari's build vs. Larenz's, but I think Omari has a couple of inches on Larenz. I'm remembering Larenz in Girls Trip (actually, I could check - I have the movie on my TiVo) and he's shorter than everyone except Jada Pinkett Smith, who I think is really petite.

Yes Larenz is little, like 5’4 (still fine though!!), that’s what I think of when you say a guy is “short” or “petite”.  I’m only 5’7 so I’m not hung up on height, I have dated dudes who are my height (about), so long as they are thick like Omari it’s fine- I think Larenz is handsome but he kind of looks like some of my cousins so NO and I’m a plus size gal I don’t want to break him!🤣

I'm calling it that the glass that Rodriguez took from Truth is going to ruin the case in some way.  She was there in an official capacity, without a search warrant, and removed an item from the premises that lead to DNA connection of Tariq.  Outside of Truth, in the trash, or getting the DNA off a glass in a police station wouldn't be a problem.  Taking it from a person's residence or place of business, without a search warrant, will be problematic.  That evidence getting thrown out would ruin everything that came from it, which would be substantial.  She may find herself in the unemployment line right behind Sax.

Poor Keisha.  Fortunately for Rodriguez Keisha wasn't hip to the game.  Keisha didn't know how to launder money or deal with the police.  She was in over her head and got a bullet in it for her trouble.

As others have said, not sure what Ghost's plan was burning Tate like that.  It's real puzzling considering he went through so much trouble to raise Tate's profile as a "savior" during the robbery.

That kid set off a nuclear bomb in NYC because he was mad at his father.  Even Tariq isn't that stupid.  Well... I know he's too stupid to get his hands on a nuclear weapon.  Besides Tasha and Ghost would try to cover it up anyway.  Just go to the cops and tell them you didn't do it.
