  1. My DVR cut off before the 30 second bit at the end. Could anyone tell me what happened? Thanks!
  2. Such a great epsiode. Loved the part where they all start singing End of the Road at the dinner table. I, too, only have boys and I've had my moments of what Louis went through. Especially when he imagines what his life would be like if they had a girl. Would be nice to have a partner in crime. After a few days of pining, I also remember that a cute little baby girl will turn into a teenage girl before I know it, and I seriously don't think I would know how to handle that :D
  3. Starting watching this on Netflix from the beginning. Watching Season 4 now. I had seen reruns on TV here and there, but man, this show is great! I love Dick, he's my favourite. John Lithgow is such an amazing actor. Any of you have any favourite episodes? I think mine is the one where Dick and Sally switch bodies in Season 4. They play each other so well.
  4. Yes, you're correct that her father was shown as white, and so the last name fits. I understand your point that she has an all-American name like Alexandra, but I just find it a little jarring when I hear her name on the show, and I see an actress of Indian background. Not to say I find anything wrong with the name - I just feel if you're going to cast a South Asian woman, at least give her a South Asian name. And yes, like others have said, TPTB could have easily changed the first name after they cast Priyanka Chopra. Anyways, just a little nitpick on my end. All's good.
  5. Small pet peeve: Clearly Alex is of South Asian decent. You just would need to look at her and know. So why would they choose a name such as Alex Parrish for her? Maybe a somewhat South Asian name would have been better. Even just an attempt at a better first name would have been better than Alex.
  6. aww, the link itsn't working for me. is it something that's only available in the US? anyone have a working link that works in canada? i missed this bit. what positions did they get promoted to? i hope this show gets renewed. it was a fun show to watch during summer, and i'm always fond of good, modern canadian programming. eta: on a shallow note, i wish they had styled andy's hair better for the wedding. maybe loose and flowy, instead of up in that half pony-tail thing she had going :)
  7. I miss seeing the home video clip at the end of this episode. I think this is the first episode that they haven't had one of those old timey clips. That's the best part of the show for me. I love how they tie in with the storylines.
  8. Thank you! That makes more sense to me now. It'll be great to see how Frank continues to strong arm his plan through.
  9. Can someone kindly explain why Frank is so hell-bent on getting America Works to pass through? I mean, it's a good idea, but at the expense of so much?
  10. Yes! And having Cyrus' husband, James Novak, in the same scene. Hee! :)
  11. I even rewinded my pvr twice to double check, and I really thought it was Hannah! That girl is a complete copy of her, especially with the bangs.
  12. Another one here watching this show for Dylan McDermott! If it's as terrible as Hostages was, I'm in. Lol. I just wish Jacob and his recaps were around, because it just would have been so much fun.
  13. Speaking of the younger girls, and how to look so unkempt, I always find myself looking at the bottom of their feet when shown on the camera. They are so dirty! I can't understand why those little girls can't have their feet washed everyday. They're not in the middle of the mall, or at a farm, but at home! And another pet peeve of mine, is when people wear their outside shoes inside the home, which is what I've seen the Duggars do. Half the kids will have their shoes on, and the other half will be barefoot. I can't imagine what their floors look like.
  14. Does anyone know the actress who played Duncan's lawyer? I've seen her somewhere, but can't quite place where.
  15. Just got around to watching the first episode, and I think it may have been even better than last season's first episode. Being of South Asian decent, I'm quite excited to see the two South Asian teams featured in TAR. Although one of the teams has already been eliminated, it was nice to see that people of other cultures are being included. Not sure how the Original TAR is, but hopefully we'll get a variety of cultures in the future. I love seeing the different places they showcase throughout the show. Even if it is just little snippets of pictures here and there. We truly do have a beautiful country :) I'm rooting for the hockey girls too! How could you not? :)
