  1. This is a commercial for one of those apps that you send someone money on your phone. There is a horse and jockey in the winners circle and the horse starts eating the flowers of some woman's hat that is standing next to it for pictures. If you are standing next to the horse I would think that you are the owner of the horse so you are the one responsible for the hat. but the jockey takes his phone (which was in his pocket of his jockey uniform) (I don't think they have pockets) and sends the woman money over his phone for her hat. Even if that woman is not the owner of the horse, the owner is not the jockey and he should not have to pay for the hat. The owner pays not the jockey. It irritates me every time this ad plays.
  2. I might be in the minority but, this season is lacking. For this to be the last season I would expect MORE from each episode. They seem to be wasting time on the small stuff. Phillip's money issues. Henry's boarding school. Wasted scenes shot in the DARK where you can't see what is going on. Unless it pays off in the end game. I want something to happen with Phillips son from USSR. They spent so much time last season on that and there was no payoff. They should be grooming Henry for his part as a spy. He is old enough. This season has no excitement, no suspense. There is nothing to leave you hanging and impatiently waiting for the next episode. I sure hope that this all pays off in the end. AND I WANT SOME MARTHA!! She could be really unhappy with life in Moscow. Somehow she escapes back to the US and turns herself in and dishes all.
  3. Nor sure if this is the correct topic for this but I find it Interesting. https://www.travelocity.com/Cedar-City-Hotels-Victorias-Bed-And-Breakfast.h9173919.Hotel-Information?SEMCID=TRAVELOCITY-US.UB.BING.DL-DSA-c-EN.HOTEL&semdtl=a1248887194.b14590807441.d113717901478.e1c.f1.g1dat-100762913934:loc-190.h1b.i1.j1.k1.l1o.m1bb.n1&msclkid=52fbe16553b91c75f254bbb208fc75cc "About the Victoria's Bed and Breakfast Location94 North 100 East, Parowan, UT 84761 Renovations + Closures This property is closed from 15 December 2017 to 31 December 2018 (dates subject to change)." So this B&B which is supposed to be operating to pay for itself, is going to be closed for a whole year?
  4. I wonder if they are doing a time jump. Morgan didn't get his stick until the cheese maker episode. Is Fear up that far in the zombie apocalypse?
  5. I don't know about Lewis and Clark. But I do know that they (meaning whoever produced this series) f@#ked up the Tecumseh story. They got the battle of Tippecanoe all wrong. Harrison did not attack Prophetstown that w way. Tecumseh's brother Tenskwatawa led a surprise attack against Harrison's troops in the wee hours of the morning. It raged for about two hours. Tenskwatawa's warriors were running low on ammo and retreated. The Native Americans fled Prophetstown. That is when Harrison had it burned. There is a battlefield and museum dedicated to this piece of history.
  6. Just finished this season. Everything was pretty much explained except for the first sequence in the first episode. Or maybe I missed the explanation. We first see Jules scared and running towards the house. This man is following her and tackles her before she gets into the house and does something with her arm. I kept waiting to see that scene in one of the episodes but no. Did I miss something?
  7. This brings up the quandary that Aspyn might be a first wife. I hope not, because she seems to have a good head on her shoulders and she sees what Hell her mom's go through. The Brown's seem like they want their offspring to be in plural marriages. Which brings up the question: What if one (or more) of their young daughters wants to marry into a plural family as a third, fourth or fifth wife of some older guy (like Kody) who is old enough to be her father, or grandfather for that matter? Just typing that sentence I want to go and wash the creepiness off of my hands.
  8. I am totally perplexed by the new Fruit Gushers commercial. It has a kid ( I say kid but it looks like a young teenager) in the boys bathroom holding a box of fruit gushers and he sticks his mouth under the gel soap holder and takes a taste of the gel and makes a terrible taste face and then a guy pops out of the stall (he looks like he might be a famous rapper or something) and tells him to stick with the fruit gushers. Then for the same product the kids are in science class the the teacher is holding a green octopus looking creature and squeezes it and green goo spurts out and a girls tastes it and well you know the rest. Why do these simple minded children think that any goo looking stuff would taste like a Fruit Gusher?
  9. I hope I am posting this in the right place. Does anyone watch See No Evil? In See No Evil Ep. 05 Dead Man Walking, it was so sad to see the victim, Edward Lowery, celebrating his promotion and he was all by himself. He went out at 11:30 pm to celebrate. The video showed him entering a very empty casino, sitting by himself and drinking a beer. Then he left and went to another bar and drank a beer by himself. I felt so sorry for the guy. No friends or family were there to help him celebrate and then in the next few minutes he winds up murdered for $200 in an empty parking lot. Just so sad. At least they caught the guys who did it and put them away.
  10. Anyone watching Pat Tomasulo's Man of the People?
  11. I always found this story fascinating. I was just a few years younger than PH. I always thought that the SLA brain-washed her. Kind of a cross between Stockholm syndrome and brain-washing. I was surprised to see one of the kidnappers being on the show. It looks like he is out of prison. Unless that is a fake set to fake us out. Great coverage of the story.
  12. I would like to see them cover the Witte murders. Such a bizarre case. http://articles.chicagotribune.com/1985-06-13/news/8502070335_1_shooting-death-double-murder-porter-county A father and grandmother are murdered in a very bizarre case.
  13. Koresh sure knows how to give the right answers. I can see why people followed him I think given a few more days and even Jacob would be joining them.
  14. ID is not showing the movie "In Cold Blood". I was just referring to it as my first introduction to this crime.
  15. This just in: https://www.yahoo.com/entertainment/m/3e1ec120-1e7a-3f6b-8663-e805118e7e70/ss_tlc-will-cancel-'sister.html "This season will be their last. Sources revealed to Life & Style that TLC will be canceling their longrunning reality TV series Sister Wives after Season 12 since Kody Brown and his polygamous family is currently failing to pull in ratings." I remember Mariah saying that she would be up for a polygamist marriage but I think that is out of the question now.
  16. Some very thought provoking ideas: What happens to the Travelers body when their consciousness is sent back in time to a host? Does it stay in stasis? Does it die? Do Travelers ever return to the future to reclaim their original body? Trevor made me think of these things when he said that he switched hosts many times. Did he just jump from one host to another or did he return to the future to be sent back again? Did the host die or did another Traveler jump into his body? Trevor also mentioned that he saw some of his children grow old and die. Was this as a Traveler? or in the future because Travelers are not supposed to procreate. It was also mentioned in one of the episodes that many of the early programmers traveled many different times. The numbering system: Did it only apply to people in the program or did names become obsolete and numbers were used instead. I know that I would not be able to remember numbers as names. I would be calling them "Hey You!!" Sorry for the rambling post but I had to get my thoughts down while I could remember them. I would love to hear your theories on this stuff or if it was addressed in an episode that I didn't catch.
  17. I remember watching "In Cold Blood" when I was a kid back in the '60's. That movie scared the bejesus out of me!! Can wait to see how they handle this.
  18. I agree with everything on the last couple of posts. Parker used to be my favorite but since Grandpa passed he has become a first class a$$. The whole Hoffman crew is a joke. Let's pray we get more gold and clang our helmets together so God will bless this "Holy Roller". Right now the Beets crew are my favorite. The only time you see Minnie smile is after a cleanup. LOL My DH and I count the times they yell "Shut it down!!" each episode. Could be a good drinking game.
  19. I don't think so. Not that I can remember. The challenges are too short for that.
  20. Both of my parents are from Polish heritage. I can make some mean pierogi, golabki (stuffed cabbage leaves), kielbasa and kapusta to name a few. But I could not fancy it up enough for Top Chef. I would love to see a chef brave enough to tackle some of those dishes for a challenge. That being said, I can also make Chinese egg rolls, egg foo young, chop suey and pepper steak as my mother was a waitress for a Chinese chef. He shared his recipes with her and I learned that way.
  21. What gets me is so much of this is left up to chance. The episode I just watched had a lady come into the store with a box she ordered online. The box was of a doll and the the woman wanted to trade it for something else. The gag was Carbonaro laid the doll down next to a real baby and the clothes were switched when they checked back to the baby. How does Carbonaro know that this certain lady who ordered this certain doll is going to come into his store on this certain day to return the doll? Everything had to go perfectly for this to happen. Too much is left to chance. That is leaving me wondering if this is really a magic show or a scripted show.
  22. I just watched him restoring an old church. He fooled his helper into believing that an old chalice found in the wall turned items to cement when touched by it. The best part was the man who touched it and turned into a statue. I don't know how they switched out the man and statue so quickly and quietly. He was standing right next to the helper and she only turned her head for a moment.
  23. That Pink commercial for Jeep!!!! The song has nothing to do with Jeeps. And Pink is not from Michigan!! Yeesh!
  24. Don't they know that a bed bug loves dark places? A black mattress is a haven for these bugs! YUK!!
  25. You never know with this show. Sometimes everything is connected. Good call on the rose on the door.
