I've always liked Thomas Haden Church, and I don't like the guy from The Flight of the Conchords. I hope Molly Shannon is not in more episodes. Mostly I don't like the cast, but I think the show is interesting enough to give another try.

I felt like I was coming back to a family that I recognized quite well, even though I hadn't thought about the show for the whole time it was gone. So I guess the cast did a really good job last year. I like Alison. I don't really like Kenny very much. I hope Frances Conroy comes back for another episode this year, but that her character has changed some way. I thought Martha Plimpton was overacting in this episode.

Drumpf must think it's cute when he's being offensive. Someone must have taught him that. His father Fred? He's certainly passed the tradition on to his sons Eric and Donald Jr. Maybe there's hope for little Barron if his father drops dead soon, but maybe not with a name like Barron. Seriously, was Barron Hilton his godfather or what?

Then Dobbs should be arrested for harassment. Twitter should definitely suspend his account.

I'm sure she changed her contact information as quickly as she could. Lou Dobbs should get a restraining order, or whatever the electronic equivalent is. Cut off his twitter.

I think HRC is very serious and focused, and can't switch quickly to being jocular and folksy the way that some people do. A lot of what people are telling her is that she should be more like a man, but also more like a submissive woman smiling all the time. I don't want her to be more like a man, or to be submissive. She seems to do well in smaller groups. I saw a video of her with Cher at a fundraiser, and she seemed perfectly affable, happy and relaxed. I wouldn't expect her to be able to relax in the company of Tic Tac Drumpf. She probably had enough of guys like that before she left high school.

the traditional First Lady duties will most likely be done by Chelsea.
I had no idea. In one interview that I saw, she did say something about going back to The White House. I was wondering if her husband would be coming too. What are they going to do with Bill, lock him in the basement?

Watching her speech in New Hampshire, the thought occurred to me that she could run for mayor of Chicago if they come back here. It would probably be a come down though, but she could probably do very well, and the city certainly needs someone like her. Rahm Emmanuel is getting more and more unpopular.
When I first started this thread, I was wondering if I should start a separate thread for Michelle. Maybe later.

The First Lady is expected to do all this work, and gets no salary. Good thing it's not sexism.

I hope the glorification of that psycho Julian Assange stops now.
O/T but was Ryan Phillippe's character on Damages based on Assange or someone else?
I'm pretty sure the Ecuadorians want him to go away somehow, but if he stepped out the door he'd be arrested.
I don't think anyone in Europe wants to help Drumpf at all except for the Brexidiots, or one of them anyway:

This is maybe the second or third time I've heard it mentioned, and can't find any video/audio proof. I hate racism. I love sources.
You would probably have to go to Breitbart for "proof". If you want to verify, check Snopes.

The email server that HRC was using was Bill's server at their place in NY, which he started using after they left the White House and moved there. She just thought it was convenient, since they already had it, and it was probably more secure than even The State Department, which hackers were going after. Also, The White House under GWBush used a private email server owned by the RNC. Millions of emails were deleted when Congress wanted to know about what was going on in the lead in the the Gulf War. It's not even apples and oranges, it's blueberries and watermelons.

The peanut gallery is exactly the right spot for that clip. This spokesperson is what Drumpf is stuck with, because no one with more common sense wants to come out and defend him. If God is using Drumpf, he or she should turn him upside down to mop the floor.

More people vote for Democrats in the Congressional races than the Banana Republicans. The way the states are and the way the districts are drawn within them, is an advantage to whoever gets the most votes in the states with the fewest people. The electoral college is based on the number of people each state sends to Congress, with the minimum number being three. In the last election where I checked this out, the seven smallest states have Representatives in Congress equal to Illinois, but their combined population is much smaller. I can't remember if it was less than a half or about a third of the population. That's how a party that is always in the minority of the popular vote, can get a majority in Congress.

He's wrong though, both Donalds are bathetic. Personally, I blame Mark Burnett for the whole mess. He's the one who put Drumpf in prime time and made him into someone that the deplorables could admire.

I'd like for Barack and Michelle to have one last dance at The White House, to the tune of At Last. It would be a nice bookend.

I think the actress should be able to be herself without any pressure to lose weight from the show.

At least Drumpf has The National Enquirer on his side. Last week, they were claiming that he's winning. We'll see what they come up with this week. 538.com has his chances at 13% with Iowa more likely to vote for HRC than Drumpf now.

I'll watch another one for THC. I liked the episode, but not most of the cast. I hope Molly Shannon isn't a regular. SJP and THC both look pretty haggard. I suppose it's deliberate. I don't see where they're going with the show from the pilot episode. I imagine the next one will be completely different, and I'll decide from there whether or not to watch it.
