    S03.E06: Household

I can't be the only one who saw how handsy high Commander so and so was getting with good ol' Fred, right? I'm curious to see how that will turn out. This was a slow ass moving 50ish minutes. I did like the scene between Aunt Lydia and June. Dare I say that Aunt Lydia is starting to experience some regret and disgust with the state of things around her. Don't really care about Nick's secrets, unless he turns out to be a double agent. How the heck is Gilead so powerful? They seemed to have destroyed most of former America's biggest industries, I'm pretty sure they've ran off a large majority of the richest and most influential citizens (like Oprah, for instance), no one really wants to trade with them, large swaths of the country are radiated wastelands, and they are still battling for control of other areas like Chicago. The fuck writers? How does that equal powerful?

    Kailyn: Kail Smash!

Even worse, she is third choice after Briana, and maybe even Kail. I would be ashamed as hell to be someone's sloppy thirds after those two lazy, useless skanks.

Jenelle: Birther Of 3, Mother To None

I believe the house incident happened when he was a child/very young, most probably before he lived in a group home and perhaps even before he was getting the full treatment he needed. And I have never heard anything else to imply he had been violent towards anyone else. So I'm willing to cut him some slack for setting his house on fire, I don't think that it means he is inherently more violent then anyone else, especially because the behavior hasn't repeated itself. We also don't know if he is around his nephews and niece when he is having delusions. His delusions haven't really been violent but paranoid. I have a lot of sympathy for people like Colin, with schizophrenia and similar conditions. As scary is it might seem to us, it is hell on Earth for the person suffering. Most of them are not violent, they are mostly misunderstood and there is still a lot of fear surrounding the condition.

    S03.E03: Useful

I'm really fucking confused by Lawrence. Is he evil? Good? Somewhere in between? Is he for or against Gilead? Is he putting on an act, or what? I don't know if his character is an actual sign of good writing, or that the writers are throwing everything into this character to see what sticks. The actor is great, and the character is compelling, but I do hope they settle on some type of direction for him in the coming episodes.

    Except Chelsea (and Cole)

With Chelsea and her supposed rudeness to fans or people not in her social circle, I think there is some middle ground. I can believe that Chelsea has social anxiety, I would even say that outside of her comfort zone, she might be an introvert or even kind of shy. I can say as a shy introvert, random people approaching me and fangirling/boying during my daily life would freak me out, and I'm sure I'd come across as rude, because people often confuse introversion with rudeness. A lot of fans also seem to have very unrealistic ideas about their favorite"celebrities" and expect them to be "on" all the time. On the other hand, I can also believe that Chelsea could have a catty side-she has her clique, she is from an upper-middle class background in a relatively small, rural community in BFE South Dakota, she's on tv and makes awesome money. Hell, I believe her whole community could be full of cliquey, gossipy people and she is just taking part in that culture. I can believe Chelsea can come off as a big fish in a small pond to some people. I don't think that makes her a bad person or anything, just a flawed one like the rest of us.
  6. To make him and the family more relatable to the average viewer? The Goldbergs did the same thing, in real life dad Goldberg was a doctor, on the show he sells furniture.

Jenelle: Birther Of 3, Mother To None

I don't disagree that Barb has given Jenelle too many chances and enables/is somewhat codependent with her. However, I was under the impression, correct me if I'm wrong, that Jenelle had Jace spending weekenda with her because it was legally mandated. Would Jenelle have gone her merry way and left Jace alone, if Barb had put her foot down? Maybe-for awhile. Jenelle wants what she wants when she wants it, just because she is petty, spiteful, and possessive. I think it is really easy to judge Barb and say she should've/shouldn't have done this, that and the other, without being in her shoes. At the end of the day, Jenelle is still her kid, and I would guess, not having been in her situation, it is tough to just wash your hands of your child, fuck up though they are.

Totally agree! Teaching is not a joke and quite honestly, I feel that if someone hasn't been trained in it, then they probably shouldn't be home schooling. There absolutely should be standards set for the parents and guardians of home schoolers (like having a college degree and/or passing tests/being certified to teach at home) to keep morons like UBT and Jenelle or the Duggers from so easily doing it.

That was my first thought too but as @HeySandyStrange said, I think Campbell would have likely questioned whether he could be the father. The spec that one of the teen's father's is the dad is fantastic and I think that's probably correct If we are going with the father being one of the adults in the town, how about Sam and Campbell's dad? Being as Becca is Sam's best friend, she likely would've spent a lot of time around his family, giving their dad the time and access to groom and rape (statutory or otherwise) her.

    S08.E06: The Iron Throne

I think it is very likely that, at some point, Sansa will marry and have children. Or just have children that she will find a way to legitimize them as Starks. I don't see her wanting the Stark line to die out.

    S08.E06: The Iron Throne

Considering that the Iron Islands and also Done have always been culturally divergent from the other Kingdoms of Westeros, and have never had an easy relationship with the Iron Throne, yeah, it's a stretch to believe they won't be pissed that the King's sister got to so easily break away from the other six kingdoms. Oh well, that some poorly explained writing for you.

    S08.E06: The Iron Throne

As much as I've had my share of issues with the show, I am sad to see it go. Danny's death was pretty sad. When you get down to it, in a sea of tragedy, hers was in some ways the most tragic story. It was particularly sad to see poor Drogon trying to nudge her awake. Greyworm sailing to Naath without Misandei...damn, the room got dusty. Arya becoming an adventurer seemed to fit. Nice to see peeps like Edmire and Robyn Arrayn again. Thank jeebus Brienne wasn't knocked up and was on the council. Could've done without that cutthroat Bronn getting what he didn't deserve . Jon leaving with the Wildings seemed right.

Regarding Becca's baby, I definitely think there was something sinister behind it's conception. Whether it was rape or a really regrettable hookup is up in the air. I would think if it was Campbell, he'd know or at least have a good idea it was his. Becca, unless I missed something, didn't strike me as someone with a rep for hooking or dating a lot.

Even though Campbell is an almost over the top psycho, I'm not surprised he got people to listen to him/do his bidding/follow him/ leave him alone. He is, in typical psychopath fashion, intelligent and a master manipulator. Plus, being that most of these kids are young, inexperienced, and sheltered, they probably mostly see him as a kind of weird loner, not a danger. People in general like to stick their heads in the sand and avoid unpleasant things if they can; there was a lot of that going in the show. I do think they were too quick to push the communal living. It seemed like they didn't have a say in who they lived with, which likely was further salt in the wound.

    S04.E21: Sandra's Fight/S04.E22: Employee Appreciation Day

I think I have sympathy for Mateo's situation because he didn't knowingly, at least until a few years ago, know that he was doing anything illegal. It wasn't his fault for coming the the US illegally as a child, and I can't blame him for not wanting to come forward as an adult, after years of assimilating and building a life here. So I can't get to mad at him for breaking a law, and yes, there doesn't seem to be a reason to haul off a nonviolent offender in zip ties like they caught him holding up Cloud 9 at gunpoint. Sayid was so funny, showing the officer not only all of his papers, but a whole photo album lol. I for one am glad that Superstore is back to mixing absurdity with more realistic stories, as well.

Jenelle: Birther Of 3, Mother To None

As far as I've ever heard, Jenelle is still considered Jace's legal mother; Barb is his legal guardian, but as long as Jenelle doesn't sign over her rights to Barb, she will always have certain rights regarding Jace, until the courts deem her unfit or she finally let's Barb adopt him outright. Until then, Barb would have no legal recourse to sever all contact unless the courts allowed it. She couldn't force Jenelle to adopt Jace out or sign over her parental rights. I'm not saying Barb is perfect, but blaming her for legal things that are out of her hands is a bit much.

    S08.E05: The Bells

Ugh, I've said it before, but I hate the idea of Brienne being the baby incubator for that sister-loving chump. IF she is carrying a baby, though, hopefully it is the future of House Tarth, not Lannister.

    S09.E17 Checks and Balances

There's been debate about that. I don't know for sure, I just have haven't seen the evidence that they are "successful". If someone has the receipts about them having a successful business, I would like to know.

I binged the show and honestly, I liked it a lot more then I expected to. For a teen drama with a mystery/sci-fi/supernatural element, I thought it was surprisingly well-written and the characters pretty nuanced, for a bunch of dumb, privileged teens. I think pretty much all of the characters are all flawed, regardless of gender. My husband presented a theory about the mystery premise: that this is a social experiment. I don't know how a parallel universe fits into it, but it is a possibility I could get behind.

    S08.E05: The Bells

I could've accepted this ending better, as distasteful as it was to me, if Jaime hadn't dragged Brienne and her feelings into the clusterfuck that is his relationship with his sister. It just seems so pointless to deal another blow to Brienne when it was all fo naught, since Jaime was always going to run back yo Cersei.

Season 8: Speculation and Spoilers Discussion

I'm curious to see the logic bending they will have to do to make it seem reasonable that Bran becomes the king of Westeros. He seemed to imply that he was no longer really human and couldn't really get involved with the mundane affairs of men (thus why he refused lordship of the North). I figured he would go find some elves and a tree somewhere, in the epilogue.

    S08.E05: The Bells

Her brother was also a huge, abusive asshole to her , had been her whole life, basically sold her like a piece of meat to a man with a brutal reputation, all to further his own ambitions, and threatened her and her child's life. Up until that point she had still tried to be a decent sister to him, but abuse can numb people.

    S08.E05: The Bells

God I hope not, but I suspect it to. Sorry, Jaime does not deserve to gave his legacy live on through the Brienne. Her awesomeness, if it mixes with anyone, deserves something better then a weak man like Jaime, who choose his terrible sister over a great person like Brienne. Fuck, even Tormund would be a better baby daddy.

Man I hope so. Much better then my fear of Brienne being knocked up by Jaime.

Season 8: Speculation and Spoilers Discussion

I have a suspicion that, since they finally slept together, Brienne will end the show knocked up with Jaime's baby. After seeing the lame ass way Jaime went out, after giving up the magnificent beast Knight of Tarth for his psycho sister, I really hope my theory isn't true. Has there been any spoilers saying how Brienne ends the show?
