  1. I haven't even tried to bother making time to watch any of the new GA season either. Just seeing the preview commercials for each new episode shows me that absolutely nothing has changed. Its still same the ol' BS with that group. I am actually dreading never wanting to watch future seasons of P:CoC - for humorously guessing "how the 'proof' was hoaxed" purposes, mostly - because they will likely get Bagans on as a commenter at some point. I can already imagine the know-it-all ego bleeding through the TV screen as he tells us about all his own personal experiences with whatever the clip is about.
  2. Screw you, NBC! The return date for the final half of S5 (& final 10 eps of the show, period) is Wednesday, October 4, at 10/9 CST. Maybe if they had put the first half of S5 somewhere midweek also, it would have garnered the numbers to survive. We Officially Know When Magnum P.I. Season 5 is Returning
  3. Can't disagree. As I've said before; "seen one, seen 'em all". But some of the personalities are a lot easier to watch than others. Same stuff, just some are more fun to watch. For me, its the ones who go overboard with their egos and 'reactions' that turns me off of a series. Bagans & GA? Staring right at you.
  4. If those rumors about Bagans getting all the other supernatural hunting shows cancelled from cable prove to actually be the full truth - aside from The Dead Files and maybe Ghost Hunters and Expedition X? - then I will never willingly watch another episode of Ghost Adventures ever again. I already don't like GA very much, but it'll be a cold day in hell before I support a guy who intentionally ruined it for everyone else; both those in the biz and those us who liked to watch the other series.
  5. Watching the season 6 premiere of P:CoC. Trvl still keeping people around, even if their own shows were cancelled. Katrina Weidman (Portals to Hell) and Dalen Spratt & Juwan Mass (Ghost Brothers) are commenters. Even though his show might still be on (UFO Witness), Ben Hansen is also a new commenter. Steve Shippy, a paranormal 'expert' and film maker is also a new commenter.
  6. Exactly what it was. Also exactly what I expected it to be. Just repackaged UFO-only clips from the first couple seasons of P:CoC, along with the talking heads paranormal-splaining what's in the clips.
  7. Okay, after checking out the ProjectFearYT subreddit, it seems that they are breaking each full episode up in to 2 parts, and the 2nd part is a week after the first one. Not quite sure on that part, though. Also, the 'paywall' part is something they call the Fear Club; sounds like its separate from the YT page. Its a $9.99/mo subscription where among other stuff they put at least some, if not all, of the best evidence captures from these new locations/new visits to old locations. I will likely end up caving and paying that $10/mo to see said evidence captures - because that's what I'm here for and having liked the past 4 seasons of DF - but its really disappointing. They raised nearly $400K to kickstart/fund this YT venture, and now are charging so people can see the real reason for watching? Don't get me wrong, I like the format and their reactions to things & interactions with each other, but I watch 'paranormal hunting' shows for the - at least supposed - evidence captures.
  8. Wait, so they are making the full episodes PPV? Yeah, like you said, I pretty sure I remember reading before that the full episodes were going to be available for free on YT. That sucks, if they're not.
  9. I honestly don't remember, but I'm guessing UFOs: Caught on Camera is not a new never-before-seen reiteration of P:CoC? Showing a couple episodes this evening and tonight on Trvl.
  10. Not yet, but it is definitely on my "to do" list.
  11. Writer's strike can't be helping matters at all, either. EDIT: Wait. Did they already have the last 10 episodes written and even filmed already? I ask because the site I usually go by for show titles info already has eps 11-20 of this last season already named. Didn't I read, a few times during the middle-to-end of S5's first half airing run, that the viewing numbers were really low? Putting it on Sunday nights did the chances of viewer numbers success no favors.
  12. Thanks for the input, everyone. @j5cochran, as much as I would love to know the complete canon story/history by watching every episode of both TOS and Enterprise (& Discovery, at least the first 2 seasons), I unfortunately just don't have the free time available to fulfill such a commitment. I have watched some of TOS, first couple of seasons of ENT, and all the TOS (as well as the TNG and '2009') movies, so I just will have to make do with that. And honestly, if I did have the time to watch all of it, I'd likely burn myself out on it and end up not looking forward to getting into SNW like I am currently. I could carve out time for the first 2 seasons of Discovery if I can talk myself into it, but not all of TOS and ENT beforehand.
  13. I know that Strange New Worlds essentially 'backdoor piloted' in S2 of Discovery. That said ..... Do I need to watch the first two seasons of Discovery to get any and all references to SNW's Trekverse, or is SNW standalone enough to not have to (at least) watch the first couple of seasons of Discovery first? I'm planning on it being necessary, but kinda hoping it isn't.
  14. It all comes off as so fake, and has for a loooong time now. Bagans especially seems like a huge fraud. Everyone - even the guests - are always so "Oh Zak, you're so 'in tune' with the paranormal and you channel it so awesomely!" Puuuh-leeze! How hard it is to put on an act of 'zoning out' or suddenly get so angry you either need to leave the room/building for a bit or punch an inanimate object or fake a rush at one of your team? The rest of his team are almost as big as frauds as him too. They also fake 'overcome with dark energy' moments really badly as well. Also have been way over the never ending "SHOW YOURSELF!/PROVE YOU'RE HERE!" macho call-outs and then losing their heads like little girls when the entities do just that. Been over that for sooo many years. Used to be kinda enjoyable to watch the earlier seasons, but for the past decade +, its turned into an avoid-as-much-as-possible chore to even want to turn it on.
  15. Because I don't want to assume anything; has Expedition X been cancelled? I only ask because it seems odd that Discovery paired new episodes of EU and Ghost Adventures back2back on the same night if (new) EX is still around.
  16. I kinda think its interesting how much Ted went against his own words at the end of the series. One of the biggest takeaways I believe we were supposed to gather from his therapy sessions with Dr. Sharon was that in the beginning she would always remark that he kept coming back, considering the way he stormed out originally. And Ted's rejoinder was always some derivative of "I don't quit things". Yet despite being almost literally begged to stay as well as offered to be the highest paid EPL manager and having his son moved over to be with him - which was the reason he wanted to go home for - he quit and left. I guess the argument could be made that maybe Henry didn't want to move, but as far as we know, Ted never even tried to ask him if he would want to or not. Ted just went home without trying to make staying in England work.
  17. I never really stopped and thought about it that way, but you're 1000% right. Would be making over $24M, per year, along with having your son [& ex] moved across the pond so you can have him nearby to see when you want and bond with said son ....... but you turn all that down with some sociopathic barely-faked interested head bobs and a couple of "hmm's". Offered everything he could want right there on a gold platter, but nah. Laterz.
  18. Again, if the choice to have the young actress do both parts was a thematic reason .... The girl portrays young Rebecca and the daughter of the man that present!Rebecca is now with. How is that not weird (if gross isn't the right descriptor)?
  19. I totally imagine they that did for cost-saving reasons to have the same girl portray both parts, but if not and it was for thematic reasons ..... uhhhh ... gross?!
  20. 100% this. It almost felt like the writing & production crew were making it personal how hard they trolled the Tedbecca stans. Between the opening scene (before Beard & Jane joined them), Rebecca's pretty much outright begging him to stay like two or three times, the 'rom-communism' trope of their last shared scene at the airport. Plus adding in all the easy-to-misinterpret hints and 'clues' to a possible Ted/Rebecca endgame through out this last season - as well as the infamous "Ted & Rebecca are texting each other on Bantr!" fake out from S2 - and its not hard to understand why the hardcore Tedbecca fans are unhappy. It honestly was kinda cruel, the fake outs. ' Lucy always pulling the football away at the last second on Charlie Brown' kinda trolling.
  21. I just felt like watching most of that series finale, especially the final montages, it felt way too much like someone on the writing/production staff owns a time machine. They jumped into it and went forward to last week - between eps 11 & 12 - and gathered all the fan wishes and predictions from here, Reddit & the internet and went back to the writing room for the series finale with said info and they mish-mashed it into that uber-predictable ending for just about every last person who had any significance in the series. Aside from Keeley not ending up with Roy (or even Jamie) and Nate getting his very best ending, pretty much every fan wish I seen the most supported is almost exactly what happened. Boring. Predictable and boring. I know some will likely vehemently disagree with that take, but it felt like they made this episode with a checklist in hand. Ticking all the boxes as they went along, no matter how organically smooth or not it made of the process.
  22. Haven't read through the thread yet, so apologies if repeat things .......... This could be a fairly unpopular opinion, but man that was disappointing. Glad I didn't stay up to watch and forced to be a half-asleep zombie all day today. What the hell? Not one big curve ball in that finale among most the predictions and predictable endings. Not one. Nate is not only back but helps decide the game, which they won. Check. Roy is named new manager. Check Beard stays for Jane and to keep coaching at Richmond. Check. Nate still on the staff. Check. Rebecca ends up with boat guy who somehow turns out to be a pilot (did we already know that from Sunflowers?). Check. Keeley chose neither of Roy or Jamie. Check. Colin kissed his fella on the pitch after the game. Check. Despite tiniest of hints that Ted was the very least waffling slightly on his decision to go home, nope. Still left as fully expected. Check. As soon as I saw Ted walk out with bed head in to Rebecca's kitchen at the beginning, I immediately knew they didn't sleep together. This show loved laughing at the obvious tropes, ala Ted mentioning the "rom-com trope" of Rebecca showing up at the airport as he was leaving. As an aside, stuck for a while with that image of Brendan Hunt's lower half in my head. Cheeky bay-beh! Didn't see Dr. Jake at the soccer match in the last seconds, sitting with Michelle. So are viewers being left the leeway to fanwank that Ted and Michelle reconciled and got back together? Because fuck that! Of all the things presented or left to interpret, that is the last thing I refuse to accept. Decent parts to it and I guess you can't say they didn't really leave too many loose ends left twisting in the wind, but just disappointing that everything pretty much went by rote. Nothing happened that was the least bit surprising, but some of it was also quite unsatisfying. Loved the first two seasons, but this last one was very hit or miss.
  23. If I didn't work tomorrow, I'd try and do the same. I can wait. It'll just be a long 20ish hours.
  24. That sucks. I live in the Midwest and while I do work with people who also watch the show - and other shows, as well - we are all usually very good about not spoiling if told someone hasn't watched the newest episode yet. I pretty much avoid all non-sports only news feeds the very best I can until I watch. Which in this case, will be tomorrow evening. The person I work directly with - who LOVES the show - won't likely have watched the episode tonight yet either, so I should be good ........ aside from probably constantly thinking about what will be waiting to be seen when I watch it tomorrow evening.
  25. Makes sense. And great for them. ... but, screws everyone else (not on the west coast, or in the PST footprint).
