I LOVE Chef Armaury! I've watched pretty much every cooking competition for years, from Top Chef to Iron Chef to Holiday Baking Championship to the Great British Baking Show. NO professional chef has ever told cheftestants to come to him if they need help, then offered stellar advice kindly yet precisely. Great guy, great show!

Specifically referred to what one person said about Crystelle trading on her looks, but no one ever says that about the men. Let's judge people on the bakes they make, not their physical attributes. And I love this show both for the kindness of the contestants and their beautiful creations. For the record, I felt terrible for Juergen not getting the handshake when the others did.

I agree with you--Cheryl seems tired, just like her choreography. Not meant as a dig at all, but compare what she's doing now with Danielle. I say this as someone who's always liked and watched Cheryl since her first season (I think Season 2), so I know how good she can be. Who remembers "Ride A Horse" or whatever it was called? That routine with Drew Lachey was fabulous!

Cheryl seems disinterested. She's been talking about retiring, and maybe it's time. I'd love her to be a judge, though. Maybe she could replace Carrie Ann.

Absolutely agree. If I moved to Great Britain and wound up on GBBO (as if), I wouldn't want everyone to assume I'd be a shoo-in for an American Week. I mean, there are tons of American desserts I've never made. For example, if they had a lemon chess pie challenge, I'd come in last because I've never made one. Same with Juergen. On top of that, he clearly stated that a real German yeasted bread wouldn't have three tiers. Paul even said they Anglicized (sp?) it, so everyone should've stopped assuming that Juergen would win the day, so to speak. This entire episode was annoying to me from start to finish for these reasons.

Yeah, Rambler, they still overdo the tartar sauce. Like you, I have to wipe off a lot of that gross white stuff. Give me just the squishy bun, Alaskan Pollock, and yes, that square of American cheese, and I'm a happy girl.

Thought I was watching Hell's Kitchen! The losing team makes a dramatic comeback, then there's a tie, then "We'll tell you who's won at Judges' Table." All that was missing was the voiceover and dramatic music.

I kept wondering if Derek stole Duff's milk money in grade school. Duff was out to get Derek or something. So obvious.
