  1. So I have a theory about that. Maybe her curtains are sheer so that way she can see if someone's hiding behind them? It would go along with why the woman in the pilot had a clear shower curtain, so no one could hide behind that without her knowing.
  2. It's so sad that Emma wasn't placed with Ingrid when she was at an age when she still believed in magic.
  3. A million times yes! Her body language was so defensive, her voice lower and more commanding... her word choice (okay, that I have to give to the writers, but still, JMo's delivery was perfect). While we've already deduced that Emma was scared, there was absolutely no hint of it. I'm not sure overcompensation is the right word, but I feel like now, her uneasiness might be more easily picked up on because she not only has to worry about herself (I don't think she really did worry that much about herself in early S1), but her family as well. But yes, I absolutely adored that scene. I really miss S1 Emma, who for the most part seemed competent and smart. This episode was like a breath of fresh air in that respect, because Emma was on her A-game and willing to do whatever it took to save everyone, even if it meant killing someone she once cared about. And she was so nonmelodramatic about it, unlike certain characters who've had to make a hard decision. She just wanted to get it done, be reunited and stuff. So yes, she may have come across as prickly (I'm still laughing about that exchange), but she still managed to have the softer moments, as well, like when she kissed Nealflake's forehead one last time before going to find Ingrid.
  4. Sorry if my response was... god, I'm too tired to think of the word. From what I understood, people were getting hate for having a different opinion of Emma's eye color. That's what I thought, anyway, but I could've misunderstood the conversation. Yeah, that surprised me, but I can kind of see it. If that was Emma's first few weeks in Storybrooke, I don't think she could very well go around punching people, regardless of how threatened she felt, because the only evidence that Ingrid wanted to harm her was her memories of her time with Ingrid in the foster system. But I'm glad that she was going to (or at least bluffed) getting law enforcement involved. My new not-so-guilty pleasure is "Stalker", the new show on CBS that apparently everyone but me hates, and a lot of times, the victims could have saved themselves a lot of trouble if they'd just called the police in the first place. And I'm trying to word this in a way that doesn't sound like victim-blaming, because I'm totally 110% against it, but a lot of times the biggest question investigators have is "why didn't you call the police and/or tell somebody?" Obviously, it's not the victim's fault, and there is stigma about being a victim, something I assume Emma would be especially careful not to portray herself as, but to me, at least she was smart enough to at least pretend to get the police involved. But yeah, the day Emma Swan feels the need to call the police because she's scared is the day hell freezes over (haha Frozen pun... maybe?)
  5. Oh, for me it isn't about the eye color statement. It's more of an annoyance that that's the type of thing people are getting hate over, because I've been getting hate for stupid things like that for the past few weeks and I'm just bitter about it I guess. I thought the episode was wonderful, especially with all the Emma flashbacks. JMo was on point as usual.
  6. People are seriously complaining to fic writers about something as small as eye color? I've always seen her eyes as hazelly-green, but generally refer to them as green because Ginny's eyes seem more green than hazel.
  7. Jen knocked it out of the freaking part again last night. Everything about the goodbye scene was so amazing. I'd love to write something coherent about it, but I think I'm still trying to process.
  8. It was on tumblr, and I just deleted them. I responded to some of the hate (sent by anonymous users on tumblr), to make my point, and on ff.net, they were by 'guest' reviewers so I couldn't respond to them. But it's so frustrating when you can't respond to explain your train of thought.
  9. Not that I wish hate on anyone, but it is just a tiny little bit gratifying to know that people who were previously worshiped and made no attempt to help supposed friends who were being 'bullied' are finally getting a taste of what it was like. I hate to be so vague, but I've gotten some hate and death threats these past few days (which have finally calmed down). But I think you get what I'm trying to say.
  10. Sorry to veer off topic, but for those of you who are loving the show and want more of it (and are into reading fanfiction), it now has a spot on fanfiction.net, and one story has been posted.
  11. I understand why some people think Beth's being stupid, but in her mind, what are her choices? She can't exactly go to the police, because she is the police. In fact, she's in charge of the unit that would be handling her case. She doesn't want anyone to know about her past, probably for reasons exactly like this so that some creep can't somehow find out and taunt her like this. And as she said in episode 2 (I think): she's a strong, ambitious woman. Coming forward about a possible stalker would make her seem weak and she'd then be portrayed as a victim. Now, this isn't true. She's survived so much, and I don't think anyone in TAU would victimize her or think any less of her. However, that isn't her perception. In her mind, her hands are tied. Also, there's no reason for her to think Perry could be behind this. As far as she knows, while he may have a fixation on her, how would he know about the fire or the teddy bear? She could chalk her house being rearranged to him, yes, but I don't see how or why she'd make the connection to Perry when the two biggest incidents have been associated with the past stalking incident. I may have missed something/misunderstood, but that's just my POV.
  12. I'm torn. I sort of want it to at least bring attention to how delusional some evil regals can be... saying someone deserves abuse is NEVER okay, and I think that people should realize how one-sided the evil regal/ugly duckling "fight" is. Jen has never (to my knowledge) said anything negative about Lana or Regina, except for canon facts about what Regina has done, yet a certain section of the fandom thinks it's totally fine for Lana to be throwing insults at her colleagues.
  13. http://badass-savior-with-perfect-hair.tumblr.com/post/101788787919/lana-is-problematic you can click the link I think. It goes to where I reblogged the post on my blog. *edited because I didn't know it would be clickable, thought it would be copy/paste
  14. I just came across a "master list" of all the anti Emma things Lana has tweeted/said, and I'm really nervous this will cause a bigger fight than last summer's issue.
  15. If the high road means acting like a mature adult and not going on mass murder sprees, then yeah, she's doing great! (Though I agree he's a bit of an ass. But at least somebody's giving her a tiny taste of her own medicine).
