  1. Exactly how I felt! I wonder about Alec because he was downright angry with Kellogg at the end. Who knows what that young man is capable of doing now. Since the super soldiers recognized the signal Brad sent and could respond to it, it seemed that Brad's future was created when Piron Alec was killed. Or maybe the future was similar enough. Regardless, Brad seemed to understand what was happening. Did the neon dude look like Brad? Greenbean suggested it might be Kiera's husband. That would be awesome! In the flashbacks that involved him where Kiera was being mentally reprogrammed in her sleep, chosen to guard Liber8 during their execution, or declared dead before a proper search was done, the husband always acted suspicious and displeased.
  2. Finally, something we get early! Woo! Thank you. I agree. shapeshifter, your enthusiasm was contagious. I finished watching this episode thinking 'they did not just go there', meaning that they just invalidated all known future outcomes except as character backstory. Now they are all players working towards an unknown future, like every non-time-travel show. However, I liked what you were saying, your questions, and I will simply have to change my expectations. So thank you. I imagined that there was a Kiera/Carlos endgame as well. It made me happy to see Carlos put a hand on Kiera's shoulder after the memorial ceremony. I like Brad, too, because he was Henry Foss from Sanctuary and I'm glad to see him again.
  3. I felt the same about this timeline. I enjoyed these two characters' interactions as well. Also, I'm eager to see her relationship with Carlos heal. There were just too many people against her before this episode, and it was because of that that I wasn't surprised that the future soldier had come back in time to kill her. Though, now it seems the stranger won't do it. I look forward to seeing what happens between them. Did she? Or did she only see him point the gun at her with no accompanying muzzle flash to show a bullet had been shot? I don't have that episode anymore to check. Greenbean, your Alec/Garza comment made me chuckle. I think the personality changes for the people in the current timeline were too extreme, but I accept that what you say is what they are trying to show. I liked Kiera's change, too. Also, what happened between Alec and Julian was very interesting. It made me wonder: a man, who would have been killed along with his family if he hadn't volunteered for the job, was sent back in time to kill Kiera - why? Maybe Kiera will take up the Theseus mantle in this timeline. Also, if Kellogg becomes a very important man, maybe he does so by pandering to both sides - corporations and liber8 - like he does now. I was feeling that way, but I did like this last episode. As far as the Alecs are concerned, I think the one in the cage has some development potential, while businessAlec seems headed in only one direction. Though, I wish Kiera wouldn't upbraid a guy BEFORE he shares the secret he wanted to tell her. I guess that's her, though - an all-cards-on-the-table kind of woman. :)
  4. Hi, I started searching online for continnuum discussions to see if others found the numerous interactions, motivations, and plots without conclusion excessive on this show. (I came from reading the posts on television without pity.) It feels as if the writers are setting up multiple scenarios so that when they decide how the season ends they will have had a basis for it somewhere in some episode. However, I feel the point of the show has been complicated and obscured by all the minor conflict. Flashbacks: I've begun to question how much of the history in season one and two is applicable to this season, and the flashbacks of the future add to my suspicion. The flashbacks are no longer benign and/or curious and perhaps ominous, they are outright villainous. Keira's future self doesn't behave like she used to in season 1/2. FutureAlec didn't care about futureKeira at all, which is very strange considering that before he was intent on the woman. The way the flashbacks occur no longer seem connected to what keira is currently thinking during a show, but instead comes as an aside. I've wondered if the future that we're seeing this season is actually the one that is generated from this new timeline. The reason Keira seems disconnected from it is because that is the future from which deadKeira came and not the Keira we know. After this last episode: Carlos, right now, is incomprehensible with his behavior. He confides in Keira but doesn't seem to trust her. In one episode, I worried he was going to make love to that corpse. Now, he is trying to destabilize Keira/Alec's relationship. Why?? And I too don't understand PironAlec's behavior. I figured that, in the past, Alec resented being used for his abilities by Keira, but submitted to Keira's demands/requests because he was inherently good and believed that what she was doing was right. Also, it was his fault she was sent back in time so he has a resposibility to her. That history doesn't seem to mean much now. Why is Curtis back? He is an uber - all-knowing and all-powerful - with a questionable purpose. It bums me out that he is back. I miss Alec/Keira's partnership. I miss the arc regarding Julian/Alec's relationship; I was encouraged by their reduced conflict which had intriguing possibilities. I would love to see Sonya find out about Kagame's subterfuge in recruiting her; I think the change to her character and its effect on the future of liber8 interesting. Someone said he/she had liked the idea of a nonviolent Julian as opposed to the ruthless Theseus he was supposed to become, and so do I. I suppose Garza will change that. I like Garza/Keira's temporary peace and I hope it lasts. And this is in response to a comment I had read: didn't Keira give Alec1 to the freelancers so he wouldn't be killed? I thought she had said something to that effect. Unfortunately, that recording was heavily corrupted and I missed much of what happened after Alec1 held a gun? to Alec2. Well, I've never posted on a show forum so I'll start with that. :) Thanks!
