Yes Darin Morgan's script is always funny and clever and full of in-jokes, but what really shines in ALL his stories is the human condition, soaked in failure, reality, sympathy, empathy, and always a glimmer of hope and optimism. That's why Darin Morgan is brilliant in his ways.

According to Janice Poon (the food stylist for Hannibal) from an interview a few weeks back, she ate 3 dozens of them in a day.

My favorite episode of the season. I haven't found the episodes slow at all, in fact, time absolutely flew, and the only annoying thing was the commercials. I also love punny and impulsive Hannibal. After all, it's going to be his "whimsy" and "exquisite cunning" that get him caught! Every scene with Bedelia is gold. And I love Dark-ish Will.

So Spector getting shot the way he did is contrived, but a magic escape, some twist at the end for the sake of twist wouldn't be? In the real world, too many criminals don't quite get justices served to them in a court of law, another unfortunate truth the show is portraying. Spector's crime is exposed, he confessed, Rose is alive (granted not in the best condition), it's as tied up an end as I need it to be. Katie is going to court, she will not run around free, idea of her being the next big bad is more preposterous than anything this show has told. If you watch deleted scene between Merlin and Stella from ep 6, definitely no abuse from Stella's dad. No need for Stella to defend herself or her father for a shitbag like Spector. Been a fun ride. Time to move on to a different main story.

Rose Stagg (the girl who had a thing with Peter/Paul in college) told Gibson that "Peter" perhaps majored in literature. Besides, there was all those Nietzsche quotes.

No way the show will air before end of September. Anderson is doing a play till Sept 19, need a little time for proper promo. Oct/Nov sounds more realistic.

Plan has been for Fall of 2014 all along. Probably anytime between end of Sept to before Christmas. Some cast had said possibly Nov, but no official word. Though keep in mind, things may happen. The first series was supposed to air fall of 2012 too with glimpses in BBC fall show trailer, but didn't happen till May 2013.

Sunday nights already have plenty established shows on other networks, way too much competition (and NBC keeps trying to put new shows there and keeps failing). They tried Thursday, didn't work. Hannibal is not even winning its own Friday time slot, moving it around likely won't help. I do agree with more promotion though. But fundamentally, I think the show carries stigma around because it's NBC and because it's about Hannibal Lecter. Not fair, but true. It may just be one of those shows that will remain forever cult-ish. As for Mads, I don't know, maybe he has better things to do than doing the US press junket...

IMO the biggest crime is not even any tech noms, I.e. Cinematography.

I think part of that just sorta metaphorically speaking. It's a new season, Hannibal is on the lam, of course it's going to be a different setting, background, etc. But ultimately it's still about Hannibal and Will. Sure Bedelia will play a bigger part (which hopefully continue beyond episode 1), but it's still the Hannibal show. Since season 3 will have more Hannibal's background, Bedelia probably had been privy to certain info as she was the psychiatrist. She may no longer technically be the psychiatrist, but I'm ready for more Bedelia/Hannibal verbal sparring.

Fuller *wants* GA to be a regular, doesn't mean she will, schedule/contract and all. He (or the power that be) certainly never confirmed she *will* be a regular.

Bedeila: You cannot function as an agent of friendship for a man who is disconnected from the concept ...as a man who is disconnected from the concept. I really miss Bedelia throwing zingers at Hannibal. As much as I love everything that transpired this season, I prefer BadAss!Bedelia to Scared!Bedelia. I love her quote about Hannibal and friendship. This season every time Hannibal says "Jack is my friend" or "Will is my friend", I wanted to yell, "You don't understand friendship!!!" And of course, the person suit quote.
