  3. Plus wasn't Johnny's story also about Sonny? His whole thing was revenge on Sonny for Claudia's death
  4. 4 years ago from 2015 so that would make it about 2011
  5. We knew Mike and Ginny would play so there was barely that. There was never any doubt in the audience minds that they would not play. And of course they went the predictable way and Blip got to play too. Ginny's drama with her mom took up most of the episode with lots of unnecessary flashbacks.
  6. I'm not saying you can't mix in other issues but the other issues on this show take up 90% of the show and then they dedicate a short amount of time to these players actually on the field.
  7. The show has been focusing very little on the actual game and more on Ginny's drama with her family and dating life. I think that's what people mean when it feels like they moved away from this premise. The way they write this show Ginny could be playing any sport because they focus so little on the actual games. I really didn't care why she chose Amelia as a an agent. I wanted to see more of how Ginny plays the game. See what made her worthy of entering the minors and making it to the big leagues to play among the best of the best.
  8. You're only focusing on one year. When Johnny was in prison for murder she was making excuses for him being a "good" guy to the point where even Molly had to point out to her that he's killer. I'm pretty sure after Kristina found out Sonny almost blew her up to they had a father/daughter embrace. She also never had a problem with mob hitman Jason and has always been JaSam's biggest supporter. Kristina has always flip flopped with her mob hate. She was never truly anti mob. When she felt she wasn't getting enough attention from Sonny she hated the mob. When he was giving her his blood money to spend she didn't care.
  9. Kristina was always a hypocrite about the mob though because she made excuses for Johnny but of course she learned that type of hypocrisy from Alexis. And she never had a problem going shopping with Sonny's mob money.
  10. Those Daytime Emmys are meaningless outside of the soap opera world. I recall an interview a couple of years ago with Robert J Ulrich (husband of former soap star Kim Johnston Ulrich) who has been casting director for shows like Glee, Supernatural and American Horror Story among others, where he said he and his team don't care about who got nominated for a daytime emmy or who was on a soap because they're watching audition tapes first and don't always look at the resume.
  11. Exactly! They said when they first announced the casting of the pilot that they were going there with Mike and Ginny. I think people are acting blissfully ignorant to all the hints during scenes they've been throwing out.
  12. I keep seeing people mentioning football effecting the ratings but honestly how many football fans would be tuning into this show? See that just added another element of skeevy by reminding us he was a grown ass man when she was a young teen girl.
  13. I watched the All Star Game so I remember them promoting this show during the game. Those shots of the Alll Star Game sliced in with Ginny's pitching were so fake looking I had to laugh. This was a better episode than the last too episodes but the overuse of flashbacks continues to drive me crazy. I remember when they were first promoting this show they mentioned Mike and Ginny would bring new meaning to the term "team chemistry" looks like they're going full steam ahead with the ship.
  14. I always see people on the boards praising Joe Jr simply because they wanted him to hook up with Tracy.
  15. It doesnt need to solely be about baseballl however baseball has been taking a back seat to some petty drama in the first 3 episodes.
  16. I thought Trey and Kristina just had no chemistry. EV was miscast as Trey. Plus Joe Jr was just terrible. The actor was awful on Passions and awful on this show. And that character was like Franco a rapist, murderer, and kidnapper. He didn't need to stick around.
  17. This shows does a car bomb every couple of years with Sonny whether it's fantasy or reality. It's so annoying.
  18. Another one of Sonny's kids almost gets blown up via car bomb? They did that with Kristina a couple of years ago. Nothing came out of it either.
  19. Well GH cast clearly half Mexican Erik Valdez as an Irish/Italian character.
  20. Prior to soras they had hispanic kids playing the roles of Kristina and Morgan. When they wanted them to actually have a story they hired white actors.
  21. For a show about baseball I feel like all the other petty drama they focus on overshadows baseball completely. Its not even entertaining drama. I'm about to give this show one more episode before giving up because its going in a stupid direction and I find myself channel flipping over to actual baseball. No young Jane on Jane the Virgin is Jenny Ortega from the Disney Channel Show Stuck in the Middle. I'm tired of the overuse of flashbacks on this show its lazy writing
  22. Having a child doesnt mature anyone. Look at all the immature characters currently on this show. Plus having a child young hasn't resulted in one good story for any young person on a soap in years.
