  1. Movies being on VOD and streaming sites has changed that for me because there's positive movies available on Netflix, Amazon , Pixl Movie Channel, etc.
  2. It doesn't help they keep using the same actors over and over again in these stories right down to the child actors. Like most of Candace Cameron's movies she plays some career women who is basically told she works too hard and needs to stop that to find romance and a family instead. As if women haven't been juggling career and family successfully for years. I don't think my TV will be on Hallmark much this holiday season. Too many bland same old same old movies that are all starting to look alike.
  3. The trade deadline episode was all about Ginn not losing a best friend. She wasn't even up for trade and frankly Blip never really was either. So we were seeing the sides of those who weren't affected.
  4. Friday Night Lights did a much better job of highlighting football than this show does baseball though. I'm not even a football fan but that show dud a great job portraying the intensity of the actual game while also showcasing it's characters every day drama. Each episode of Pitch seems to move further and further away from baseball and they have yet to capture the intensity of one game.
  5. They said in the promo they're nude photos of her. Tabloids wouldnt go crazy over her simply dating a rival player.
  6. I'm tired of the constant drama of Ginny's life that doesnt even correlate with baseball. If she's such a fragile mess how did she get this far? Because year one of the minors would've broken her down. And next week we have to deal with stupid nude picture nonsense.
  7. Minorities are proven to watch TV so theres really no excuse. And the way I watched TV now if the content on the network isn't diverse enough I rarely tune in. I really haven't watched CBS in awhile. I love a good cheesy TV movie but bland white movie overload made me stop watching Hallmark much in favor of Up and PixL. A couple of years ago during the holidays my TV would be tuned there everyday now it will be tuned on more diverse movies.
  8. He was raised a Corinthos. So he's a Corinthos
  9. I'm waiting for Hallmark to experience a collapse so they can stop feeding their black viewers that be line about working towards diversity while continuing to cast only white leads.
  10. All the Corinthos kids are easily replaceable. Not like Michael, Morgan, or Kristina have ever had any standout storylines.
  11. Hallmark also had An Old Fashioned Thanksgiving which did well enough for them to make a Christmas sequel. The pumpkin pie one could've been set for Thanksgiving. That's mainly when people are eating pumpkin pie. I just read a cozy mystery set during Thanksgiving time about a pre Thanksgiving pancake eating contest. So there are things that could be done with the Thanksgiving theme and they can still fit their two day romances into those stories. I understand Hallmarks wants to capture as many holiday viewers as possible but starting prior to Halloween when people still really enjoy Halloween is a bit much. Especially when there Christmas offerings are so redundant.
  12. Serayah does not have a white mother. Both her parents are black. She just likes to claim mixed because she has one non black grandparent
  13. Thankfully I'm in that relevant demo and will be for awhile and this is my thought process as well. I find it hard to even pay attention to productions will lily white casts existing in their own bubble.
  14. You think Hallmark would do more Thanksgiving theme movies if only to push the sales of their Thanksgiving cards and decor.
  15. A Wish for Christmas was so boring to me. I barley paid attention. I still too am enjoying fall and they're were any great fall movies this year to give me my fill. I think I need a movie a little more upbeat and fun to kick off the Christmas season.
  16. That toxic water crap was considered a high rated storyline? Wasn't it a plotpoint that only lasted a few weeks?
  17. Trailer for Christmas with the Andersons which is currently on Demand and will premiere on ION Saturday December 10th at 9pm
  18. In recent years I've been skipping alot of the Hallmark ones due to lack of diversity. ION, UP TV, sometimes Lifetime usually offer selections with POC leads. Here's one premiering on ION this year "A Husband for Christmas" - Sunday, Dec. 11, at 9/8c PM Cast: Vivica A. Fox, Ricco Ross, Dominique Swain, Michael Bergin, Helene Udy, Eric Roberts, Jackée Harry Synopsis: Brooke and Roger, two graphic designers in a soon-to-be-merged company, help one another by agreeing to a loveless marriage of convenience, suggested by their new boss. In the process, Brooke gets to upstage the sister who just announced her engagement to Brooke's ex-boyfriend during the holidays. But, with their "marriage" in question, will Brooke and Roger find a spark they didn't know existed? Produced by: Hybrid Films
  19. This show relies way too much on flashbacks. I'd love to see one episode where they can fully tell the story in the present.
  20. The agent's job is to negotiate the best deal possible, period. Even as rookies players don't just sign the first off. And we are too believe Ginny is a hot commodity being the only female to make it to MLB. There would've been a good amount of negotiating done.
  21. Its a stretch as it is having Amelia who has no history as a sports agent being her agent because she has no knowledge about how baseball works. I was told the way the complexity of the contracts makes it so agents managing baseball players can't cross over to manage basketball players.
  22. Ginny was so annoying in this episode making the possible trade all about herself. And she was acting like she was new to baseball and didn't understand how trades worked
  23. Yeah its exactly like how EB complains every time the young people on the Young & the Restless get some screentime to have a storyline. He decided they're taking over the show
  24. November 5 is the premiere of Advance & Retreat Life is good for marketing professional Allison (Riley Voelkel) – she’s well on her way to earning a stellar promotion all while dating equally successful co-worker Bryce (Brandon W. Jones). Her biggest rival for the position, Vanessa (Whitney Anderson), has the boss’ eye, but Allison has a plan. To win the promotion, she needs to impress her boss, Nathan (C. Thomas Howell), at their annual company retreat. Of course, she has a head start since she used to be a camp counselor. The only caveat, this year’s trip happens to be the site of Allison’s first heartbreak: her old camp. And who should still be working there but the handsome as ever ex-boyfriend who broke that teenage heart, Cody (Casey Deidrick). But was it all a misunderstanding? Allison’s tasked with navigating not only the obstacle course but her relationships…past and present.
