  1. Finally got around to watching Advance & Retreat and I liked it. It was another PixL story with a diverse cast and a more than one couple developing their relationship. The camp setting was different and and made for some interesting interactions. In addition two leads rekindling their past relationship( great chemistry together) and the leading lady feeling conflicted about her current relationship with her boyfriend there was also the young assistant with dreams of moving up in the company and finding her voice. Then there was the one employee on maternity leave struggling to feel useful while working from home and deal with her fears of impeding motherhood.
  2. Here's one that will be airing on TV One A down-on-his-luck single father (Dondré T. Whitfield, Queen Sugar) questions his decision to give up his dreams to take care of his ailing mother. A Christmas miracle gives him a glimpse of what his life would have been like if he'd made a different choice. The ensemble cast includes Christian Keyes (Saints & Sinners), Tracey Heggins, Stella Doyle, Diallo Thompson, Delpaneaux Wills, and Chris Whitley.
  3. I have a feeling Pitch might end up canceled. They basically have a problem of the week that gets a nice resolution in the end unlike the other shows with black female leads it doesnt have that can't miss excitement.
  4. Merry Christmas, Baby is Sunday Night's movie http://uptv.com/movies/merry-christmas-baby/videos/merry-christmas-baby-the-best-birthday-gift/
  5. I put the trailer for this one in the UP movie thread. Its based on a book with the same name. After watching a sneak peek on Up's website it looks like it will be a tear jerker
  6. I don't think Hallmark does well with book adaptations. They've been taking good source material and making bland movies. And who are they dumbing this material down for? Their audience is mainly adults and their movies premiere at night. Are they that afraid of offending the family friendly brigade? I heard some members of the family friendly brigade complain about Married by Christmas. They said they couldn't watch the movie because of the drinking scenes and mention of a gay man and those who enjoyed the movie needed Jesus. Nevermind Jesus turned water into wine and plenty of Christians drink.
  7. I don't remember any of them throwing around the words traumatized or sexual assualt. Yes some were embarassed and upset about their privacy being invaded which they made known but a couple of weeks later everyone else had something new to talk about and it didn't break anyone's career and everyone involved moved on like it never happened.
  8. Ginny as a mainstream athlete would be grouped into the same celeb category as those actresses. Maybe the baseball community would hold her to a higher standard but the rest of America not really. And like I said there's no way those tame Body Issue pics would outshine the leaked nudes.
  9. The young actresses fresh off Nickelodeon and Disney were held at higher standards because they had mostly and like I said after a few days they're nude scandals were no big deal. Considering baseball is less mainstream than the other sports people would actually care even less about Ginny's nude leaks. So to say she would be held to a higher standard yeah no so sure about that. Nudity is not as shocking anymore in today's society. Just like actual baseball continued mention of Jackie and his legacy in the wrong way.
  10. That stupid nude photo storyline was a waste of time. By the way those tame photos for the Body Issue would in no way overshadow leaked nudes. And during the Fappening stars with more a of younger fanbase than Ginny had nudes leaked and they were just fine. Storyline just felt so dated. And I'm so beyond tired of flashbacks on this show. Like they cant simply tell a story in the present. Or explain people's past through their present actions.
  11. Falling For Christmas premieres Saturday, November 26 at 7 p.m. ET and is one of three premiere movies debuting Thanksgiving weekend. Trailer for The Rooftop Christmas Tree
  12. It was based off a book. I didn't watch but I heard people who read it say they cut out the good backstories of the characters
  13. Do most fans go on the a face book page though? I haven't been on it since 2011
  14. I enjoyed Married by Christmas and I'm looking forward to the next installment of the Chandler Family Christmas saga. Outside of A Puppy for Christmas I'm looking forward to all the movies
  15. I know GH keeps trying to portray these characters as much younger but it doesn't work in this day and age of HD TV
  16. Whoops got their names mixed up. Yeah her sports Crack was mean but she was having a drunken meltdown and did regret it. Ethan came off greedy the way he immediately wanted the company. I didn't like him.
  17. People online seemed to hate their sucky stories. They had their loyal fans with princess and prince fantasies but no memorable stories.
  18. How Danica Stewart got another soap gig and a Web soap I will never know. And way I haven't liked ER on any soap. Not as Lizzie, Lulu, and especially not as Abby.
  19. She looks forty too me. It's really not that old and most forty year old women don't look old and wrinkled or anything. What do the forty year old look like where you live?
  20. I liked that they pointed out that the grandmother's stipulation was a crock of sexist bs. And they didn't push the romance above having a career crap either. Cuz it's 2016 women are capable of both. The sister and her fiance annoyed me withow their sudden interest in the company. Carrie had every right to feel angry about Paul being ready to move in on her territory.
  21. I liked UP's Married by Christmas. It was funny and a nice twist on the usual fake fiance route Christmas movies take.
  22. KeMo looks her age not younger and there's nothing wrong with looking your age.
  23. Why is it so hard to understand why people would want more focus on baseball on a show that advertised itself as being a baseball drama and has backing from MLB? A good writer would be able to showcase the game in an exciting way and make the audience feel while winning or losing is so important in addition. They do a hell of a lot more highlighting the personal drama the characters have in their lives but little time showing them partaking in the game which is what takes of a huge chunk of their lives. The way they write this show they could've set in in the backdrop of any random industry which is not a good thing because each industry is unique and brings about its own day to day issues.
  24. Current Christmas promo And sneek peek on their website of Married By Christmas http://uptv.com/movies/married-by-christmas/videos/married-by-christmas-movie-preview/
