  1. Christmas Princess was a nice break from the similar shallow small town girl finds love at Christmas tales. Bonus that it was based on a true story. It's always nice to get a reminder around this time that there's someone always worse off than you to make you really appreciate what you have. I even got a little teary eyed watching some of those flashbacks. And was nice to see her seeking counseling to do with her feelings.
  2. I was happy to see Rick Fox as Bow's new husband. I understand the importance of this episode. Diabetes runs in my family and my father is terrible at managing his and just refuses to eat better so now he's on medications and dialysis. I don't think they gave enough info on managing your diet.
  3. Haley is just not a good actress to me. I've seen her on GH and off GH and her acting has just been really bad.
  4. I went last year the first weekend in December and it was packed. The year prior was my first time visiting NY during the holidays and I loved it. I took so many pictures of the shop windows. I visited Macys just for the experience. And we got to explore the market at Bryant Park.
  5. Both movies filmed in Romania so that's probably why it looked familiar. I must agree. I have one more Christmas novel to finish reading but I just can't do these slapped together Christmas movies so close to the actual holiday.
  6. Caught a little bit of Alicia Witt's movie while at my aunt's house. White Christmases are rare for NYC so what was with all the extremely fake looking snow? They shouldn't even have shown that scene with the view because the Chrysler Building was obvious green screen. Even with the stock footage it didn't remotely resemble NYC during Christmastime. The dialog was awful and she does this weird thing with her aw while reciting her lines. Did anyone read the book that it's based off of? I saw mixed reviews on the book. Did they make alot of references to The Mistletoe Promise in the movie?
  7. Was that on Hallmark? Cuz I skipped all their movies last year. Did she save Christmas and deliver all the gifts?
  8. I didn't care for the mini movies I saw. I was thinking the other day that's its been awhile since I saw one of those Santa's son or daughter finds romance and saves Christmas movies. They were pretty popular when I was a kid.
  9. There was no little girl in My Christmas Prince. Granted I was nodding in and out during it but there were no children. You might be getting it confused with the movie on Netflix. This was My Christmas Prince. Don't forget this year's Wrapped Up In Christmas.
  10. This one sounds good and it's on UP tommorrow http://uptv.com/movies/christmas-princess/videos/christmas-princess-the-experience-of-a-lifetime/ Christmas Princess The true story of Donaly Marquez who, through a childhood of neglect and abuse, achieved her dream of becoming a Rose Bowl Princess. An inspirational story of resilience, strength and finding a family to call your own.
  11. Industry folks complain about it all the time on Deadline's website. Anyway some production companies are making an effort to film more movies in the US. New Mexico has become a popular filming site recently and Georgia has a booming industry as well.
  12. Freeform had a Christmas movie last year so Angry Angel is not the first. Last year was one with Bailee Madison.
  13. I kept zoning in and out throughout this. I understand they wanted to make a Christmas royalty movie more for millennials but this was boring and like you said cheap looking. A bunch of archways does not a castle make. I didn't remotely find it believable that the family was royalty. There was nothing princely about the prince but I guess the British accent was supposed to distract us. I looked up the actor and could only find this movie as his acting credit. Not surprised he's so inexperienced. It showed onscreen. And the annoying neighbor who was a Crown Watcher as if I'm supposed to believe this prince is so well known they have women who dedicate blogs to him yet apparently not known enough that his girlfriend didn't find out he's a prince sooner. Jane Carr had no chemistry with Charles Shaughnessy and came across more like the Prince's grandmother than mother. EW did a funny article about the movie compairing it to Netflix's A Christmas Prince http://ew.com/tv/2017/12/04/how-does-my-christmas-prince-compare-to-a-christmas-prince/ Loved this Final advantage: A Christmas Prince. Netflix’s original movie offers more delightful manufactured conflict and more castle/royalty porn. If you’re only going to choose one so-good-it’s-bad made-for-TV movie about an American girl who ends up with a prince, go with Netflix’s offering. Or, better yet, just read the news about Meghan Markle and Prince Harry because that story actually has a woman of color in it who isn’t just the generic sidekick.
  14. And why does every Prince in these movies have a British accent even though their country never resembles the UK?
  15. Just once I'd like a movie where the woman realizes small town life is not for her and gets with the man in the big city while working a non cutesy job.
