I like Freddy so far, the interactions between him and Frasier are the only ones that ring true for me and like the original.  All the other stuff is very unfunny for me.

I agree. I like their interactions. That cheesy talk show and the Harvard stuff feels too over the top

I liked half of this episode and disliked the other half. I didn't like how dumb Freddy's fireman friends were. That was terrible. I did like how it lead to Frasier and Freddy talking and him learning how much his fame was hard on Freddy. I didn't like Frasier telling Freddy to put all his stuff in his room. On the original Martin was more forceful about his chair, even using Frasier's words against him.  It worked because of Martin's personalty and because he's the father. Freddy choses to be passive aggressive which makes sense since he's the son. I liked the Steinway meets Fenway. That was really good. I still don't like David.

I liked that Frasier's voice made the baby go to sleep and Eve showing up at different times just for that reason. Whatever gets the baby to sleep.

I'll have to wait until Paramont+ is free for a week to catch the rest of the episodes.

Use the code FRASIER to get 1 month free as a part of a promo they're doing good through 12/31/23

how did we go from Rachel kissing Mark to somehow Mark being the one who initiated?

Right? She kissed him and he kissed back but now it's Mark self sabotaging himself. What the hell! He didn't invite her into his home.

My mom though Lola was waltzing around town in her pjs too.  I had to explain it's a kimono

Because he is smoking hot.  I would watch him over most guys on the channel.  I don't consider any of them to be Academy Award (or Emmy) candidates and since the stories are all the same, there has to be something to draw people.

I guess it's why they say, 'different strokes for different folks.'  You don't care for Paevey, I have no interest in Michael Rady, yet there are many on here who would defend either, both, or neither.

I am just finishing Winter Love Story again because I liked the movie the first time, despite Jenn Lilley being the queen of the non-listening conclusion jumpers.  I am now at the part where the guy (Kevin McGarry, another reason to watch) is giving his acceptance speech for an award he has won.  Despite her being invited to the ceremony by his publicist, who says he will be thrilled to see her ('trust me') him leaving his group of friends to greet her and tell her she looks incredible, asking her to sit with him at the head table, and starting off his speech by saying he was so glad he didn't have to do his most recent book tour alone (she was with him,) when he starts thanking people and mentions his ex-wife, who helped him with his first book, she runs out of the ceremony while he is still on stage.  He must be in love with her still!  Listen to the damn speech already!!  Trust that he is into you because he has just spent the last several days showing you he is.  I get why Hallmark does this, it's the 15 minutes before the end of the movie 'will they won't they' crisis but my God, it's tiresome.

He has Ken doll looks that I don't find attractive at all. And no charm onscreen to make me swoon. I only liked Michael Rady in It Had to Be You and Melrose Place.

Drats.  I'm sorry I missed it.  I haven't seen that movie since it originally aired and always hoped to one day.

I like Italia Ricci but the premise to the movie just seemed silly to me and once I saw Ryan Paevy, off it went.  He's a no go for me.  I've given him so many chances but I'm tired of trying.

Ryan Paevy is such a horrible actor. Not sure why Hallmark saw his bad acting on General Hospital and decided he was their leading man.

I think we're being punked.  No way that's legit.

Oh no she's legit and I saw the full thread.  I should've screenshot since I guess she deleted it since it was gaining traction. The gist was that she's the only full time employees of the imprint doing all the work from reading manuscripts, publicity, revisions, pushing book to movie deals, marketing, etc The replies are still up

I didn't think anyone was pretending, I think Amy was acting like she just trusted them both, because both have indicated their past was a long time ago and not a thing anymore.  Likewise, Lola trusted them both to behave like adults, and told Mark to just tell her what was going on. Really, there's no issue if there's no issue. But for some reason they decided to suddenly write Rachel to be desperate and obnoxious and Mark to be weak and indirect.  I hate shit writing like this. Hey! Showrunners! Just stick to the legal stories and stop trying to inject adolescent melodrama and character assassination into the show!

Oh I don't think anyone was pretending I think the writing was a little muddled and unclear. And Mark needed to put his big boy pants on and act like an adult.

  8. This episode was so oddly written that I rewatched clips and rembered yes Lola does know about Mark and Rachel's past and so does Amy. So why was it being danced around?

Shout out to this twitter shipper for the clips

  9. It's clear Mark and Rachel have a past but it seems like Lola doesn't know about it. They were giving the impression before that she did.

Mark and Amy are chemistry free but I'm not here for a cheating story either.

Emily and her new man also have no chemistry. And it just makes no sense how quickly things progressed with them.

Ugh.  That looks terrible.  Neither lead is appealing to me.  Today I watched an old podcast with Paul Campbell and he said they were trying to skew younger to attract the 20-something eyeballs.  He referred to their average fans as 'fan-mas' (as opposed to Grandmas.)  Actually, as much as I knew that I was that demographic, I was a little offended.

What was the point of them starting a whole publishing imprint where they're actively seeking original stories and they're not even adapting the original books they're publishing? Instead they're reworking books for children about children and their first crushes. Who is the target audience? Because if you're a fan of the book you're probably 9-12 and Hallmark isn't a channel you watch. Plus they shift the focus from the kids to the parents.

I'm 20 something and I don't understand how this is supposed to attract me.  I don't even have kids yet and most of my peers who do have kids under age 5.

    This looks so badly acted

He played the main male student role in Rise and I think that is his natural voice. It didn't jump out at me as being different to his acting on that show.

I decided to check out the first episode cause, well I'm on holidays and need to slowly spread out other shows I'm watching. And I think I'm in for the duration of the show. Damn YA shows needing a mystery to be solved to keep me hooked. Plus I do enjoy watching dancing eve if I don't really understand ballet. I will definitely check out episode 2 just to see if it has enough to keep me going, frist episodes are trying so hard to introduce everyone it's a bit unfair to abort after the first episode

His accent doesnt sound strong in interviews even though he is from The South

I spent way too much time during the dancing for the tourists scene noticing that you can't actually see reflection of the crowd or the dancers in the Bean.  I get that it probably wasn't filmed on location but that small detail really took me out of the scene.

Also, why would two ballet dancers choose to do hip hop in Millennium Park?  Those dance moves would not draw a crowd that large in real life.

Those were like the only scenes actually filmed in Chicago for this show.

Why why am I watching this? Bad acting, bad directing, no character development, uninteresting story, episodes are too long, too much sex, and everyone is a horrible person....

The only reason I'm still sticking around is I want to know who killed Cassie; however, I have a horrible feeling the show will get a second season and we won't find out! I do like the dancing, but there needs to be more of it. I'm actually thinking about jumping to episode 10 to find out who did it.

I noticed this too. When the show started I thought it would follow Neveah's story. We saw her getting articles about her, going to the fund raising party, it was her dancing that made Ramon want to put on a different play.  I was given the impression that Neveah as a dancer was something special.

But now it's all about Bette and her story.  Bette got the lead role in Ramon's new play, she's the one that got the girls to band together to teach Ramon a lesson, she's the one who danced through an injury because she wants the role so bad, she's the one who will do whatever it takes. Also the show gives the impression the Ramon is impressed with her dancing (we see those two dance together a lot now). Actually it feels like we only see Bette dance now.

So I feel like the writers switched the script and decided the show was about Bette and how the poor thing is always in her sisters shadow and nobody picks her! Problem is I don't like Bette and I can't seem to feel sorry for her and route for her to succeed.

It wasn't even a mystery of who killed Cassie since she's in a coma not dead.

Thank you! They were literally never in sync and it drove me insane lol.

I've seen more innovative dancing in the Step Up movies. The dancing was fast forward material here too!
