  1. And Dean and Sam saw her get sucked into a portal from which others returned alive. Sam had no idea where Dean had gone. You’d think they’d both want to know for sure if she was dead or alive rather than possibly just leaving her to be tortured by Lucifer for eternity.
  2. I had the exact same thought even as Dean was speaking. But then Dean has always been a hypocrite. I guess he’s also forgotten how many innocent people Crowley has harmed.
  3. I didn't buy the AU universe premise at all. The writers went with the most simplistic extreme. Angels don't need to create an apocalyptic war with demons. They could wipe out 99% of them by showing their grace as we've seen. Cas killed a roomful with the palm of his hand glowing a few seasons back. Even Crowley was afraid of Cas once upon a time. The show has so downgraded angels and powered up demons so much the past couple of seasons the writers no longer remember how they started. Only the top demons and Knights of Hell would be a challenge. And presumably most of the archangels are around in the AU to deal with them. Not to mention the angels orchestrated the birth of Sam and Dean and were unlikely to give up getting Mary and John together easily. Or are more likely to find another close line to get their vessels from. I just found the AU world cliched stupid. I'm assuming Cas will get resurrected until proven otherwise. I still don't care about the nephalim or understand why he would innately be evil. I hope this isn't another version of the Amara plot: rapidly growing and increasingly powerful evil being that must be stopped by the end of next season. We just saw that last year.
  4. Uugh. What was the point of ruining the story by making Max an idiot who would sell his soul for a carbon copy of his dead sister? Can this show just not resist ruining or killing every decent character?
  5. I had come to like Mitch. Of course it's pointless to get invested in any character other than Sam, Dean and Cas (and I'm beginning to have concerns for his future) because the show kills every damn one of them off. How many years now has this show been going on and still the same old thing.
  6. While I sympathize with Lily's loss, spending a century plotting revenge is an enormous waste of life. I would rather it been presented that way. Ironically, had she just lived a good life, grown old and died, she could have been long ago reunited with her daughter in heaven.
  7. Sorry, but I found it totally absurd. A human studying angel magic for a century is more powerful using that magic than eons old angels. Not damaged by staring at angel grace and can tune into angel radio. Can heal herself while actual angels need help. Grace no longer required for angelic powers. Someone should have told Cas and Megatron.
  8. Has Cas lost all powers with heaven closed off? I remember when Cas was a real angel. When he could get inside Dean's dreams to talk to him. Anna (?) even did it when she couldn't find Dean because he was warded. When he could hear Dean's prayers. Cas used to be smart, powerful and resourceful. Now he's freaking useless, weak and incompetent. . I've had more than enough of the heroes having to get help from the bad guys, whether Crowley, Rowena or the BMOL. So many wonderful characters like Ellen, Bobby, Jo killed off and Cas reduced to this all do the brothers can keep teaming up with evil. Blech.

Explain again to me why it's a good idea to have Crowley, Rowena and the BMOL all more powerful and smarter than Sam, Dean and Cas. Because I got nothing. They've done everything imaginable to diminish Cas over the years so the brothers could not rely on his powers and knowledge to always save the day. But they've increased the powers of Crowley and Rowena to ridiculous proportions in his place. Because the brothers relying on evil is better.
  10. Well aren't these British ladies special. I'm bored with them already. Bringing in new characters that are smarter/stronger/have special abilities beyond the established heroes has always been one of my least favorite plot devices (think Billy on Charmed).
  11. I think this finale was one of the stupidest things I've ever watched. They bring God in just to make him weak, stupid and useless. The almighty Darkness just wants to be loved. She and God go off hand in hand to spend quality time together and all is well. WTF? Terrible introduction to the new character. At first I thought she was going to have some intriguing way to help. Nope. Just a Men of Letter's bounty hunter. At least I don't have to spend the summer wondering what happens next. Sam's not dead and Dean's talking to Mary.
  12. I think they are going overboard with the slacker grunge God schtick. I'm finding their representation of God rather juvenile in its conception, something a college kid would think of. God could snap his fingers and construct a Mark P. Vessel for Lucifer and give us Cas back. I strongly prefer Misha as Cas and Mark as Lucifer.
  13. I would have found Castiel talking to God far more moving, rational and appropriate than having Metatron take the side of humanity. But as usual, the writers have sidelined Cas and made him useless and on his own.
  14. I find it best to just mindlessly watch this show without thinking too much. They've long ago abandoned any sense of a specific rules or abilities. Powers come and go based on the immediate need of the plot. Rowena is ridiculously powerful. Not only could she release Lucifer from the trap, she can now bring herself back to life, fix her own broken neck, find and heal Amara. It's just absurd. Crowley can possess a vessel holding not just one angel, but two. I know he's done it before with one angel, when Sam was a vessel, but I'm still not buying this should be possible. Since when does the holy water ring of fire die? It's held Gabriel and Raphael in addition to Cas. But then the plot needed them held and now it needed Lucifer to get free. So whatever. I don't see any issue with Sam referring to Cas's vessel as "it". It's just a lifeless vessel Cas is inhabiting. Jimmy is long gone. And Cas and his vessel are not one and the same. Cas is still an angel, and really a beam of light (or celestial intent if heaven has any intent left). He'd still be Cas without the vessel. But then I'm not sure if the show even remembers what angels used to be. Never has an entity been so completely destroyed and diminished as Supernatural's angels.
  15. Rollo was brilliant. Ragnar pathetic. Floki not dead enough.
  16. I keep wondering the same thing. We know Lucifer is quite sane, honest and rather restrained. But from Chloe's perspective she should see him as a delusional psycopath with violent tendancies. Why is she ignoring this?
  17. Don't these people do anything besides plot, kill and have illicit sex? I'm getting bored. However I am amazed at how the males all age while the women stay the same. Ragnar and Lagertha started out looking the same age and now he looks 20 years older.
  18. I don't care if they are a couple or not. But I really disagree with the producer's statement that there is no point to doing the show unless they explore them as a romantic couple. What about female empowerment and redemption? Two much more important themes that the show explored. This reboot if not done correctly, has the potential for turning into a straight man's fantasy show and/or a corny love story instead of a show about independent women who didn't build their lives around men and the roles women were expected to fulfill.
  19. Chloe didn't annoy me as much in this episode. But she is still oddly devoid of emotion. Other than flashes of irritation, this woman shows no excitement, no joy, no passion, no happiness and not much energy. I'm not sure if it's an intentional part of the character or just bad acting or bad writing. I'm probably 20 years older than her and I'm giddy as a schoolgirl in comparison. She's either beaten down and/or depressed. Either way, I don't find her interesting. But I wonder if that is why she is immune to Lucifer. She has no desires or passions.
  20. Maize is so much more awesome than Chloe, I can't imagine why Lucifer would find that dishrag intriguing.
  21. Even if Cas were to evict Lucifer, he could just find himself another vessel, albeit a weaker one. But he was still plenty strong and dangerous in the Mark Pellegrino vessel. Cas evicting Lucifer doesnt really solve their problem. I wonder if having Cas in the vessel with him makes Lucifer stronger than if he were to somehow kill Cas and inhabit the vessel alone. I also wonder if Cas could just leave if he wanted to, during a moment he had control over the body. He is still an angel and is only inhabiting an empty vessel himself. He could then work with the brothers in another vessel. Although right now he still seems to think Luci is their best shot. Maybe he wants to stay with him to keep an eye on him. Of course he should also know Luci admitted trapping the Darkness the first time was a group effort and he really doesn't know how to do it.
  22. This show would be better without Chloe. She serves no real purpose, doesn't drive the plot, doesn't bring out the most interesting aspects of any character. Heck, she's not even a good detective. If she left, we would have essentially the same show without its main irritant.
  23. I didn't care much for it. Claire is annoying. Alex is okay although I didn't like the implication given by vamp boyfriend that she was sullen and friendless until the most popular boy in school took an interest in her and voila, she's a changed girl. I didn't like Jodi playing 2nd fiddle to teen girl issues. Jodi and the brothers are great together. The girls, far less interesting.
  24. That is actually the last thing I want. Right now I just find her boring and clichéd. If they make her a predictably special snowflake I am guaranteed to loathe her. I hope the writers have something more original in store.
  25. What I like least is Lucifer's interest in Chloe because I find her such a bland character. It just irritates me that he finds her fascinating (even if the basis is her resistance to him). Since this is apparently a long running theme of the show and I'm already annoyed by it, its a problem for me. I still like Lucifer, the therapist, the Angel and Maize, so not all is lost.
