  1. Everyone keeps dwelling on "that's not how that prescription would be written"......I think that's kind of the point. Had he not realized the missing necklace, he probably would have been "caught" in about two seconds. With that being said, a little over a year ago, I broke my arm (of course, in the middle of the night, away from home). After a long E/R visit, I was written a prescription for narcotic pain killers, and we went to an all night pharmacy to get it filled. It was on paper, not in triplicate, and I didn't even get out of the car, my boyfriend and cousin went in (neither of whom share a last name with me) and were able to get it filled. Looking back, it kind of surprised me.
  2. A couple of points from my perspective: - While I don't necessarily buy in to Tamra's newfound "Christianity" the difference (as I see it) between her professed religion and Lydia's is that Tamra doesn't cite (or mis-cite) the Bible as an excuse to do or not do things, as Lydia does. - Tamra did post a picture on Instagram of her with her daughter at the graduation (I think Simon was in the picture too) so yes, she really did go. - Tamra is not estranged from all of her children with Simon. The two of them have three kids. The oldest daughter (Sydney) is the one she doesn't speak to. The younger daughter splits her time between Tamra and Simon and the son lives full time with Tamra. So - not to say that Tamra doesn't have some responsibility in whatever happened between her and the daughter, the fact that she is still in the other two children's lives points to at least part of the issue being the daughter (and possibly Simon). - Vicky's boyfriend Steve had been accused of having been a dirty cop, and when he ran for some elected position in Anaheim he "suddenly" became Steve Chavez Lodge (or some such hybrid name) in the hopes that an uninformed electorate would think he was going to champion Hispanic causes - I live in the city that Vicki's old Coto office was in, and work in the city that her new office is in....and I work for a company that is in the mortgage and insurance industry. And until this show, never heard of Coto Insurance. So not exactly the insurance empire Vicki would have us all believe it is. That's all - just needed to get some of that off my chest....LOL
  3. Well, to be fair to Peggy (LOL) - perhaps she thought they were all supposed to change clothes and WEAR shifts to the hospital.....although it did seem a little cool for that, as I usually think of shifts as more of a summery dress.....but......I'm not Peggy!!!
  4. Someone may have already answered this "downthread" (which would now be upthread....LOL) but in the scene where Vicki is telling Brianna she decided to throw herself a party (who does that???) she said "I decided to have a party on Saturday", which, to me, makes it sound like it was during the week right before the party that she decided to throw the party. So, long way around, I guess I am saying if she didn't decide until that very week to even have the party, it is possible that invites went out on Wednesday for a Saturday party.
  5. Sometimes I think it's better that way - I know to look for things that I would have otherwise missed (ie Kelly at the door/window making stupid faces while Lydia and Peggy were outside).
  6. I feel like I have to say this to people who will understand .... even if they don't agree! LOL 1) I think we are victims of editing on (at least) two fronts with this episode. I suspect there was a lot more conversation in the restroom than we saw. While I understand that Shannon is completely obsessed with her weight gain this season, I don't believe that the conversation in the restroom went from "Oh crap, Kelly Dodd is here" to "Kelly, I weigh 174 pounds and have 40% body fat" in 2 1/2 seconds flat. We missed something. The second editing issue is that about half the time the trainer said "Wow" or "Whoa" we couldn't see him - so I'm betting it was said once or twice, and then added in every time there was the opportunity. 2) I live in Rancho Santa Margarita (where Tamra's gym is) and work in Newport Beach (where Shannon lives). It is AT LEAST 30 minutes between the two, if you're not trying to do it during peak traffic (it is 25.1 miles door to door from my house to my office). If you're struggling to be motivated to work out, adding an hour or an hour and a half to the time commitment TO work out is only going to make it more tempting to skip it. And Shannon has 3 girls who are active in sports and other activities. It isn't as if David leaves for work, and she sits on the couch watching Oprah until he comes home - my money is on schlepping girls hither and yon all day long, making it harder to carve time out. 3) When Shannon and Tamra were heading to the restaurant, Shannon specifically said that this dinner was going to be her last splurge before she got serious about dieting - so I don't begrudge her a steak if that's what she wanted. 4) Kelly is a jackass 5) Lydia should have taken some responsibility when the whole "Why is Kelly here?" conversation was happening and at least said "Oh, I mentioned to Kelly we were going to be here" instead of acting all shocked herself. 6) Is the only time we're going to see all the ladies together going to be when they go to Iceland?
  7. It's hard for them to have active baseball players since both the spring and fall seasons of DWTS overlap with the MLB season. So this was kind of the perfect storm this year. David Ross retired from the Cubs and is riding high on popularity since the Cubs, perpetual lovable losers were actually lovable WINNERS last season - so he was able to participate. And speaking as a lifelong Cubs fan.....I am glad he is! From all accounts (and I watched a lot of the post World Series interviews and celebrations) David Ross is just a really nice guy and really mentored a number of the younger guys on the team - which, coupled with being 40 which is unusual for a catcher, gave him the nickname of Gramps.
  8. Well.....there is a 3 hour time difference.... ;-) As far as people saying that we don't know for sure that Jack is going to die this season - I don't think they knew they were being renewed before they were done filming for this year, so.....
  9. I had the opposite problem growing up - everywhere we went there was a SPACE for the personalized item with my name on it, but it was always empty. Oh the hazards of being a Kathy growing up in the 60's. And yes, my first doll was a Chatty Cathy, even though she spelled her name wrong!
  10. I follow the show on Facebook, and just saw a post that they did not get renewed for a fourth season. I must admit, I am disappointed. I enjoy this show!
  11. I think Kelly misunderstood the purpose of Anger Management classes. In her mind, Anger Management classes were to teach her how be angry. Since she apparently stopped the classes BEFORE they taught her how to beat the crap out someone, she didn't beat Tamra up. If she would have gotten to Advanced Anger Management, THEN she could have beaten Tamra up.
  12. I think my favorite part of the "How dumb can Kelly be?" tour was when Andy commented that she was the most polarizing housewife they had ever had..... And she thanked him. I guess on "Planet Dodd" polarizing is a compliment?
  13. I think it's hysterical to say that Icky wanted to slap him, but was afraid he would slap her back...... What does she think should happen? She should be able to slap David and he would just have to stand there and take it? I mean, I am not saying that ANYONE should get hit.....but newsflash Icky! If you did slap David, I hope he WOULD slap you back.
  14. I have a different take on Heather.....probably not a very popular one. SOMEONE needs to control that group, and normally, Heather seems to be the most "in control". For way too long, Vicki has been allowed to make blanket statements and just assume that everyone will accept them and kowtow to her. Finally someone is standing up and making her take responsibility!
  15. http://musclemania.com/ It takes a little digging down, but if you click on Events (I think....it's part way across on the top) and then look at 2016, you can find Orange County. There are results posted, and Tamra is on there. It actually likes a pretty big organization.
  16. If it's the part I think you're talking about, I think she says "Don't move". My guess is she's tired of Vicki thinking if she just walks away, the conversation (and more importantly, the conflict) is over.
  17. I agree wholeheartedly. As a woman, if I am in someone else's face (be they male or female) and/or lay a hand on them, I don't get to cry "but I'm just a girl.....how DARE a man talk to / touch a woman that way" if they respond in kind back. Icky Vicki stood there screeching in his face and then had the audacity to say that he was a horrible man to yell at her. Well.....perhaps if you hadn't yelled at him, he wouldn't have yelled back!
  18. I think I saw something on FB about nail polish, believe it or not.....
  19. Looked it up - and an incarcerated hernia is a real thing - not a hernia that is in prison. Incarcerated hernia. If the omentum or a loop of intestine becomes trapped in the weak point in the abdominal wall, it can obstruct the bowel, leading to severe pain, nausea, vomiting, and the inability to have a bowel movement or pass gas. Strangulation.
  20. I've read a couple of times that the return trips have historically been "off limits" for the show (as in not filmed, and not shared). So I am guessing that they weren't set up for filming, but then when the proverbial "defecation hit the oscillation" they started filming anyway, knowing that it was too good to miss.
  21. Agreed, agreed, agreed, 100X agreed. The ONLY reason I can ever imagine saying that anyone "deserves" to be cheated on would be if they themselves were cheating. And even then.........not my circus, not my monkeys. I saw the whole "getting Kelly drunk" thing a little differently. She was sitting at the table being all pouty and miserable. Everyone else was trying to have a good time. So I believe Shannon was just trying to bring Kelly into the fold by (1) ordering her what she would probably order herself and (2) trying to make her part of the group, at least for the last night. All I know is the reunion should be interesting as heck. And it sounds like there's a Twitter gag order in place on these women! LOL
  22. I haven't watched yet (sorry - lifelong Cubs fan here, and their playoff game went into extra innings and kept me up past my bedtime last night!) but I must admit that I am dying of curiosity to know what this nose flicking thing is! LOL
  23. Kelly annoys the daylights out of me - not only does she go from 0-60+ and back again in record time, but, even when she (almost) acknowledges that she screwed up, she comes right back and justifies it. It isn't even a "I'm sorry if you felt that I did such and such", it's more like "I know I did such and such and I shouldn't have".....pause....."But it was okay that I did it, because she did X first"
  24. I suspect we didn't see the whole vow renewal. They may have chosen to air that part because we all know about their issues, and, if they didn't show that part, people would say "Oh, but we know the truth........"
  25. So....a few things I noticed, some of which have already been commented on, others....not so much.... 1) Purse-gate: Yes, the woman with the heavy accent did move a purse, not knowing who it belonged to. The way I saw it, the purse was on one of the high top "bar height" tables, where people would be standing around and wanting to set down drinks, and she moved it to a low table where it wouldn't be in the way or risk getting spilled on. And why was it so odd that she (or anyone) would ask what a purse looks like if someone is looking for it? Isn't that what normally happens? "I can't find my phone" "What does it look like?" "It's an iPhone with a pink case" "Oh, I saw one like that on the counter in the kitchen". Fairly normal party conversation.... 2) "Who?" "Who?" "Who?" - Smelly Kelly (sorry, couldn't resist) sounded like a mentally challenged owl. Question was asked and answered. If you don't like the answer, debate the answer, don't keep asking "Who?" 3) David in Vicki's face.....ummm......Vicki walked up and was seriously 2 inches from David's face. I don't blame him for getting angry and yelling back. You can't have it both ways - you don't get to berate someone, yell and scream at them, and then cry because "A man doesn't talk to a woman that way". Well.....a lady doesn't behave that way either Vicki.... 4) Terry's statement that he is doing important work, I do agree with previous posters that it was specifically in reference to his latest gig, the show about fixing naturally occurring issues people have (as opposed to frivolous plastic surgery). That's all I have to add.
