whoa! Really? Oh you have to refresh my memory on that one
Season 8. That was a full 24 hour season, so Jack's grief-filled rampage over Renee took a few episodes and many, many men. That's why Moscow's so hot for Jack. He killed everybody.

I thought Jack would just beat Cheng to death, but once the katana was put into play, decapitation was assured. Ah Audrey, you would've had a much simpler (and longer) life if you'd never met Jack Bauer. Heh, the only females who've survived in Jack's life are Kim and Chloe.
Ending was a little too Season 5, but otherwise this season was the goods.

OK, the heart moving in time to "Sweet Caroline" was a pretty good touch. You win that round, del Toro. Of course having an evil German conglomerate named "The Stoneheart Group" kind of gives the point earned right back.
Overall, I like vampirism as a contagion that simply needs to be eradicated instead of a supernatural phenomenon.

The camera was in the attic of Franco's house and it charged up when the power was restored.

My personal favorite from Cartman is: "Respect ma authoritah!"
Wings was a surprisingly quotable show. Before Bart's "Fold faster than Superman on laundry day" there was Brian's "Fold up like origami." And Guest star Lillith's classic to Helen: "You know, it is permissible to have an unexpressed thought."

What is it with del Toro and names? Ephraim Goodweather? Abraham Setrakian? Stacker Pentecost?(Pacific Rim)

Excellent movie. Of the higher primates, Jason Clarke stands out. Of course Oldman chews his scenery quite thoroughly and Kirk Acevedo has some moments as an ape-hater(Speciesist?) But obviously, the reason everybody is going to see this movie is to see the Apes and as usual, Andy Serkis comes through in spades. Also the CGI is pretty much flawless. It ends on a pretty downer note, but I do want to see the next installment.

Crime Story was a great cop show set in Chicago in the early 60's. It had a great cast, wonderful period atmosphere, and a gritty, noir feel. I loved it. For some reason, halfway through one, it turned into the Electric Koolaid Acid Test. First all the characters moved from Chicago to Las Vegas, including the local cop and local reporter, which reminded me of Laverne & Shirley, then it turned into a weird, trippy, psychedelic mess.
As I once said on TWoP: "What are you talking about? Ray and Paulie surviving a nuclear test was gold! Gold, I tells ya!"

I like the Tropicana commercial with Passion Pit's "Carried Away", but that overly cheerful employee would be totally annoying in real life.

Lyle Lovett came in after Jovanni and Franke visited Chip Diaz, the real estate agent. We don't see what happened in the house, only the aftermath. After the cold open, we see Franke and Jovanni coming into the U.S., obviously before the events at the Diaz house. I assume Diaz provided a stash house for the banker (and the cartel, obviously) and screwed up, leading to the seizure.

[Jack Dobbs' brain]This chick is so weird. Yeah, but she's hot. But my brother killed her sister. Yeah, but she's really hot. She keeps pictures and drawings of my brothers'. Yeah, but she's like volcanically hot. What the fuck is she doing? Just shut the fuck up and go with it.[/Jack Dobbs' Brain]
As far as Franka Potente goes, I guess it's the week for rampaging Germans.

My biggest regret about The Middleman is that it didn't make Natalie Morales a bigger star.

Every time Idris Elba's on screen, there's always a hint of menace, but I believe this is the first time he's played a true heavy:

It's a shame no one has devised a way for a police official to determine ownership of a stranger's vehicle parked in one's own driveway.
They ran the VIN, no name came up. So while it didn't make the chief look crazy, it didn't clear him, either.

The mystery of the missing bagels is solved. Score one for the chief.
So is his dad crazy, or is something supernatural going on? You know, other than 140 million people vanishing into thin air.

Hall & Oates are famous for their bad videos, but this one is my nomination for the worst:

I didn't appreciate the weight of Curtis' "How can I be leader when I have both arms?" until he told Nam the story of the first few months in the tail. That story, and the reveal of who the players were really made the whole movie. And then Wilford pulled the rug out when he revealed that Gilliam was part of the whole game.
I really hope it comes to the theatre here so I can drag some friends to see it, but I live in a relatively small city so we'll see.- 1

What was this show about? It sounds familiar.
Billy Campbell and Sela Ward play two divorcees who get married and basically it's about the blending of their families. Susanna Thompson played Billy's ex and Jeffrey Nordling played Sela's ex. Evan Rachel Wood and Shane West played Billy's kids. So it had a pretty good cast.
David Clennon's Miles Drentell from thirtysomething reprised his role in an arc on the show.

Ironically, I could care less about that "Word Crimes" video. It was funny, though. I literally cracked up.
