  1. This reminded me of the King of the Hill episode "New Cowboy on the Block", but without steroid bees. :)
  2. I totally agree!! And I lost it when PC Principal said he was from Texas A&M.
  3. My bad. I knew she was from a Carribbean nation, couldn't remember which one. It was sad that she thought the surgery would magically make her thin and sexy. Even sadder that she drove some of her children away with her attitude. I might have to watch this show more because I started exercising a little while watching. (I would start cleaning thanks to Hoarders.) I don't understand how many of the people on this show don't understand their situation. It took time to gain all that weight, it will take time to lose it as well. Sitting around playing bingo ain't gonna cut it. Hopefully, Pauline's son will get some help, too. Don't want to see him in a future season.
  4. Man, I'm from Houston and all this talk of tamales is making me hungry!! Homemade tamales are soooo good! Pauline reminded me of the Jamaican lady in Florida. I can't remember her name, but she had her own weight loss special(s). It was really sad that she was claiming to follow the doctor's instructions when the cameras were filming the truth. Pauline obviously knew more than the doctors. She was actually getting out and about, on her scooter. Playing Bingo and eating greasy looking food. Silly doctors with their fancy degrees and years of experiences.
  5. I always wonder about this. It seems like some people upend their lives and travel a long way to get to Houston. I'm from Houston, but haven't lived there in about 25 years. I know the cost of living in many parts of Texas isn't too high. (electricity cost is ri-donk-u-lous, though) Does the show cover costs while they're spending the year filming?
