Years & years ago, I stayed up to watch Todd Martin win his (US Open?) match (& tournament?). Early AM hours--not many fans left in audience--He won & went berserk in the best way.... He somehow got himself into the stands & raced around slapping hands with fans & when they did a close-up of his face--I think his eyes were spinning! It was so great!

Didn't NF ever talk to some one he's working with? Ever notice she's upset? Or does he only do his scenes and no personal chit-chat or try to be a friend? Just professional all the time? Just IMO....

This might help if kitty tends to attack you without a reason. My rescue tortie would too many times attack me when I was walking by or standing within range of her. She has her claws--Ouch!!!!!!! I began to let her sniff whatever is in my hands (and hands) as I stand or walk by and now the only time she attacks is if I forget to let her sniff. It's not her fault that this is obviously extremely important to her. Just my experience with one cat.

I'll just throw this out there (my history with men, over the years--not in this order): First husband--met at my brother's wedding 2nd husband--met at work Boy friend--met at work Boy friend--a neighbor Boy friend--met at work and so forth and so on...... You do see the pattern? Maybe you're just not ready yet--that's OK.... when you are.... you'll do what you're reluctant to do. JMO

Death takes a Holiday (1971) Monte Markham, Yvette M------ Saw where I can get this on DVD-R. Problem: Am I mis-remembering this movie as really wonderful--romantic, thought-provoking, gripping? Sometimes, movies seem better in memory than in actuality--Will I say, Holy crap, I could have bought a lot of cat food instead of this? Anybody remember this TV movie or have DVD? Loving it? Disappointed?

(First, must say I didn't see most of the 2 London eps when Mooney and his daughter were introduced. So some of these points might have been covered in them.) I think Mooney will be fine--I like him. Amused that he sometimes uses his tie to blot perspiration. Wonder what he's munching on and catching in his mouth--peanuts? seeds? sugar cubes? What's the plan for the daughter? The usual, starts dating, moves out?, etc. But what else? Can't just sit on the beach reading or looking at the waves and the stars at night or hanging out with Dad and crew sucking down beer. A teacher? Takes over Catherine's (Madam Mayor surely won't keep schlepping drinks?????) Maybe daughter sings? Love when the Commissioner is in an episode. So in control, the Big Cheese but not obnoxious about it, except when his secretary interrupts his conference with Mooney: "Yes, Dorothy!!!" he snaps, waspishly. The episode where he offered to help investigate a case and he was a help--to their surprise. When he saw and removed his picture from the suspects' board. I just think he's a cutie-pie. I assume U.S. will see S7 in 2018? Hope so.

This show's premise bothers me--am I missing out on a good show? It just seems such a dick move--their mother just died so let's move away from everything and everyone familiar--yeah, that'll fix it. Don't want any of that pesky grief.

I'm walking to my house to get weapons. I meet an ape with a brick in each hand (paw? appendage?) I tell him: Good--you keep those bricks--we're going to need them! I'm unlocking my door.... cat wakes me up.

My choice for Serious Purrs? When cats purr--nothing fake or phony about it--they mean it.... seriously. =^.^= Better to be long-winded in posts than too terse (as I can be if I'm not careful and can sound offensive). I also have got that "oh,really" skeptical look at times but I, of course, get pissed off and am very liable to say, "I don't care if you believe me or not--it's the truth" and/or walk away. (muttering to myself, why oh why do I have to deal with such fools?)

@Jaded No storybook family here either. It's just so "funny" how you (and I) are always the ones that are wrong, deluded, etc. etc. etc.--never them. Just me and my cat, also. And I'm very pleased about that and wouldn't want it any other way. Long-winded way of saying--I hear you and empathize and we are healthier without them.

In case you didn't know--there is a forum for Dark Shadows at PTV--with lots of topics. You both have plenty of company in your love for it.

I'm sure other stars are probably thinking, Damn, wish that had happened when I was a presenter. Think of how many times Beatty's name has been reported, tweeted, spoken--Can't buy that much publicity! Neither Beatty or Dunaway have had this much attention in decades(?) or at least a number of years. (And they didn't even have to die.)

Am I the only one hoping these two live in the same area? (I lurk this topic every so often--hoping to see some happy love connections.)

I tend to have weird dreams if I go back to sleep after a bathroom visit: Santa Claus is ready to leave. Mrs. C says, No! I don't want you to go! She takes his eyes. He puts them back in and leaves. (Eyes are black coals) It's raining cats and dogs--literally! Pink and blue, all sizes. I wake up laughing. We're looking out my front window at the road. He says, Why are people sleeping in the road, with pillows and blankets? I tell him, It's A Thing--they do it all the time--I've done it too.... A man is in my closet--standing there, just looking at me. I wake up trying to scream but don't make a sound. (Unfortunately, the man was my dead father.) Sometimes, I don't go back to bed and try to sleep--even if it's 2am.

They did the same thing to us (Illinois) a couple years ago. The town was close to our area and they switched to another much further north. I think it was WC's choice but don't know for sure. Doesn't help you much--just letting you know, they've done it to others. It's quite annoying. Another reason they force people to go elsewhere to try to find basic accurate info.
