  1. Agree, Willowy... they certainly have chemistry, but she's not adorable-sexy enough to overcome the laissez-faire, not-quite-honest, pepper-conversations-with-the-occasional-declarations-of-intense-support-but-don't-necessarily-pay-them-off thing. Technically, I wanted to be way into them as it seems like almost everyone is. In reality... I'm a little meh, with a side of no-trusty.
  2. Damn, I am having so much fun with this season. Maria Doyle Kennedy was right when she said "It's like season one, on crack." It's nice to see more Helena love amongst the fans. Was surprised at people I knew celebrating her demise last season while I mourned her loss and tried to make #SaveHelena a thing. ;) She's definitely the most interesting to me, and in her own way, the most loving across the all the characters. I excitedly anticipated the day they she & Sarah & Felix (and OMG, Alison!) would one day be in a non-fight-to-the-death mix together, but didn't expect it to come so soon. Though I could do with less time on the Prolethian ranch, /shudder/ I'm intrigued by the obvious mirroring between Helena and Gracie's upbringing. I suspect Helena could see that herself, from the receiving end of the same sort of fear and hatred by the religiously indoctrinated that she had been doling out to clones with a rifle. And she does not kill Gracie. When Helena realizes what happened while she was drugged and understands them as the same sort as the nuns and Tomas... well, it does not bode well for Heinrick and his wife. ETA: And to our mogue friend: um, that's a lotta lube.
  3. If Cal was pushed out of his company and his tech bought by the military, which seems to have been involved in Project Leda, could the name Dyad instead be ringing (unpleasant) bells for him on that front? That he's just realized that his and Sarah's paths and pasts may not be discreet things that happened to cross, but part of the same messy pot of science-military-tail-fetishist-fuckery stew. (Aaaaand, now I've worried myself, worrying that his fleeting expression means he's worrying that his tech will be used to bring pain to Sarah on the run & the others in a way that will make it tough for them to be allies/"friends.")
  4. Really excited re: where S2 is going... I admit to some concern after S1 that we could lose our people, the grittiness, etc in the corporation and the science and it would take a turn towards the I Care Less, but NOPE. Thrilled with how it is the same but all new. My show -- just exponentially so. Loves. One thing has been taking me out of the narrative in recent weeks, though: I feel like every scene that sets up what Art knows or has happened to him or that he is doing has ended up on the cutting room floor and been replaced with teasers or awkward/incomplete tip-offs. (ANGIE.) I'm not looking for the Art Show either, but I'm still not clear what/how much Sarah told him, what happened to him at the department, where he got the compound tip-off/pics, etc. So, everytime he's on screen, I'm all "Wait -- did I fall asleep last week? What did she tell him? What did they agree to? Do we know? Is he just working this on his own, now with all the info? None of the info? Does he have a source besides Sarah?" Perhaps that's wholly intentional. (Or perhaps I DID fall asleep. ;) ) Anyone else unsure?
