  1. I thought it was really interesting to read the feedback on her because I found her to be hilarious. A lot of reality tv contestants say things with the excuse that they are "just being real" but they almost never say what I am actually thinking. She sort of hit the nail on the head with every observation and she stated her opinions in a very matter of fact, straight forward way. It didn't seem like she was grasping for any stupid Michael Kors type of slams but if she thought something was ugly she said it was and stated why. I don't think she is the best or most interesting designer but I definitely don't dislike watching her.
  2. Is it a spoiler if it's publicly available? Just in case though, because I am so freaking excited:
  3. She does have a great name. I am bummed that I was totally underwhelmed by her MTQ video though.
  4. Oh my gosh, Pearl is everything. She's a hot dude too!
  5. I have always loved Pepper as a character, but she was quite one dimensional. Naomi Grossman made her fully realized this episode and I am excited that the writing finally gave her a chance to make Pepper more than just the adorable microcephalic. The relationship between her and Elsa, her love for Salty, her devotion to the baby, her desire to please those around her, etc. all just brought the whole character together for me. I'm not a cry baby but that episode made me tear up a few times. It was nice to see that she found a little bit of happiness in Asylum. You could see that she quickly became devoted to Sister Mary Eunice and was very excited to be her pet project. I just....loved everything about this episode. One problem I had was a continuity thing, and I realize that complaining about continuity in this show is kind of pointless but anyways. In Asylum Sister Jude told Lana that she had shaved Pepper's hair like that as punishment. I forgot about that until this episode.
  6. I am positive she was in a casting special or two.
  7. I met Angelea last week. She was in a liquor store doing some promotion for a spiced rum. She is so pretty in person, and nice, and normal seeming. She let me geek out for a while, took a bunch of pictures with me, and even gave me her cell phone number and told me to text her. She also told me some AWESOME gossip about one of last cycle's contestants hooking up with Russell Simmons and then blowing him off afterwards. She also talked about the lawsuit somewhat. I sort of coaxed it out of her by saying: "I cannot believe they refilmed the finale because you were an escort". All in all we talked for about twenty minutes, and then, after I left, a few hours later she texted me and said I made her night. She was just so cool and its a shame that didn't come across on the show too much. Also, Renee has never looked better.
  8. Yo. Tyra wore giant pirate head scarves and like bathrobes for cycle seven so I respectfully disagree. I think it's nice that they are only allowing one villain at a time to get highlighted this season. Mirjana took over for Romeo and Chantelle is taking over for Mirjana. Granted, I think Mirjana and Romeo are probably truly awful people in real life and didn't need much of an edit to look like an asshole. I think that they are trying really hard to pigeon hole Chantelle into filling that role because everyone else right now is pretty inoffensive. I feel like they had to pick someone at this point and she is probably the best bet. Uh....oh yeah the rest: Photo shoot was stupid. Challenge was stupid. I could stare at Shei all day. She is beautiful even with that stupid hair.
  9. Fear is a very interesting thing and certain triggers in childhood can ingrain themselves in the brain and manifest in any number of ways. Just google "strange phobias" and you will see that a fear of clowns in an adult is far from the most ridiculous of fears. C0mputerGeek mentioned that the actual phobia of clowns didn't really exist until after the John Wayne Gacy trial, but I would argue that fear wasn't even really studied in depth scientifically until the late sixties. My grandma had a terrible fear of clowns her whole entire life, well before the Gacy murders. I do agree that it certainly contributed towards making clowns a symbol of fear as opposed to something you "find delightful" though.
  10. This episode has me feeling really good about this season. At this point in each season the whole tone sort of gets defined and you can tell how the rest of it is going to be. I remember the third episode was when I realized I was hooked in the first season. In the second season by the third episode I realized the aliens were stupid and that Asylum was overall so much darker, but enjoyable nonetheless. In Coven I realized I was going to hate everything at that point. It seems like Ryan Murphy may actually have a cohesive story line plotted for this time, with a minimal amount of extraneous characters and dangling threads. If that is the case I am really, really excited about it. With that said, if Patti Lupone moves into a tent in the freakshow for no reason and Meep comes back to life next episode only to die and come back three more times I won't be terribly surprised.
  11. I actually like Amanda, but damn, she did not deserve that second place spot. It should have Sean and Kini in there. Although Kini wasn't necessarily the most innovative, he really went outside his comfort zone on his collection and his clothes looked slick and cool. He really took the judges criticisms to heart when they said his three pieces looked too "old lady". I am happy with Sean winning but mostly because I think there is no such thing as too much fringe. Or feathers. Or glitter. (pssssst I am actually a unicorn on a Lisa Frank folder. Don't tell anyone)
  12. Agreed! I like Amanda a lot. I think she has a great eye, and she manages to come across as a sweetheart while still having some good one liners and barbs thrown in. I thought that what she designed was beautifully made, wearable, and still unique enough to be runway ready. I am a big fan.
  13. Hedda Lettuce says that now but back in the day she was literally begging to be on the show and Ru shut her down, for at least seasons 2 & 3.
  14. Yo can we talk about her new single "I adore you"? It's really good. Its not one of those traditional auto tuned to hell drag race girl singles. It's actually a really good song with awesome vocals.
  15. I have been doing that Okurrrrrrrrrrrrr with the trill that Alaska has down pat way too much. C'mon Toyota Camry! *click*
