  1. Especially because most people seem to love British accents. I agree with all of you that his voice was distracting. That was a weird choice, especially since he couldn't pull it off. I will re-watch, but probably fast forward through just to look at London.
  2. I hope the show returns and Chantal is dating around. And Pedro and family are out. They're no longer entertaining.
  3. I finally watched A Kiss Before Christmas. It is definitely my favorite so far, and the only one I would rewatch. There have been a lot of let downs this year (and that bar is low). I watched Desperate Housewives and had forgotten the great chemistry of Hatcher and Denton. I appreciate all of you for touting it so highly. You were right!
  4. I watched two (Hope at Christmas and The Christmas Club) from a few years ago today. I like the actors and the scenarios were fine. I couldn't remember why I hadn't re-watched them and in both cases, they were ok until the bitchy overreactions to the misunderstanding. Bleh. Also in Hope at Christmas, I couldn't get over the cavalierly cancelled at the last minute Hawaiian trip the child was supposed to take with her dad. "He won't mind!"
  5. I think this was the first episode of this show where I didn’t roll my eyes one time. It was very touching, and both Nickys are great. The Sally actress was in Good Girls Revolt.
  6. The only explanation for the Hynes character liking the Krakow character was his carrying a torch for her since he was a kid. Otherwise, I don’t see why he was attracted to her. As expected, she loosened up in the end, and I did like the way they tied it up, but husband and I keep quoting the dentist’s line about finally going to Paris when they were very gray and very old. Otherwise, it was exciting dental seminars for two child free people with big incomes. Short trips to Europe are easy with lots of money; of course, he couldn’t leave his patients very long because they only trusted him🙄. He was so over the top stuffy, he didn’t seem to fit the family vibe she was so attracted to as a child. Her hair was sad, especially paired with that much eyeliner. Tyler Hynes elevates the material every time.
  7. I love these. I find myself watching Hallmark Drama for their movies much more than the other two Hallmark channels. I love the Hall of Fame movies, but this week I watched two that were fluffier (one with Jane Seymour and one with Anna Chlumsky), and they were far more enjoyable than anything I've seen on the other channels lately. The acting and the humor was there in a way that is not so present now. Spectrum added Drama to the lineup last year, and I didn't really care, but it has become my favorite.
  8. I took a break from Christmas movies and watched The Magic of Ordinary Days. It's so good, especially compared to their current insipid offerings. I wish they'd sprinkle a few Hall of Fame worthy movies in again. I know I am preaching to the choir, but if you've never seen The Magic of Ordinary Days, do yourself a favor and watch it. It shows up on Hallmark Drama every now and then. I am so glad we finally got that channel this year because I've seen some of their older movies that I've really enjoyed. I only saw a couple of new ones (including the ones on Lifetime) that I would consider watching again next year. That number seems to dwindle every year.
  9. I love that one. I keep thinking of signing up for Hallmark Movies Now just to be able to see it. I have so many on my DVR and have watched a bunch of oldies on demand and on Prime. Maybe I will wait and watch it in February as a little pick me up.
  10. I watched an oldie on Prime today. Holiday Switch (2007!) with Nicole Eggert. It was totally predictable, but more enjoyable than the current crop. I'm glad some of the older ones are showing up on Prime and Hulu. I often enjoy them more. I wish someone would show the old Mimi Rogers Christmas List. I love that one!
  11. I finally watched this, and I agree about the ridiculousness of those "dancing" shoes. I usually like CCB's movies, and I love Warren Christie in The Most Wonderful Time of the Year, but this movie was a fail for me. They seemed mismatched. He looked much better with facial hair and statuesque Brooke Burns.
  12. The Christmas Card, Crown for Christmas, Christmas Getaway, The Christmas Angel (the one with Bruce Davison) as well as the others already mentioned. I have many more, but relatively few from the past couple of years when it seems quantity over quality is the goal.
