  1. I was born in the mid-seventies, my sister a couple of years older, and apart from white clothes and a romper with red elephants, our baby clothes were rather dark: lots of brown and dark orange. My mom wore a lot of darker dresses back then with different patterns. This is not something I remember though, but it seems like fairly typical clothes when I look at baby pictures.
  2. Yeah, I was almost shaking my head in disbelief when he said that. She looked more like a hooker than ever. I liked his dress, but the styling and the jacket screamed hooker. Perhaps not a teenage hooker though... *heh* And this is from someone who thinks that Kini is the best designer left and who, as mentioned, liked his football dress. I have to say that I can't be upset, as some (very few it seems) are, that Char stayed over Korina. If Korina is a better designer than Char it's by the smallest of margins. I still remember that slinky green (?) dress she made as one of the worst ones I've seen on PR ever. It was horrible. And she has made one or two good jackets after that, but her "talent" is a joke. She's definitely one of the worst ones left in a lacklustre season and Char is basically on the same level as her, but not as good at sewing.
  3. While Amanda is far from my favourite when it comes to design, but are there ANY really good designers this season?, I have trouble comprehending why people think she's a... well, smug bitch. I like her as a person, I think she's rather funny and seems to take criticism well and generally I just think she seems to be calm and collected most of the time. I seem to rememember that I didn't like her at all her first season, but hey, that was then and this is now!
  4. Hi! Luleå is a great town, though I haven't been there for many years. It's a good 7-8 hour drive from here even though I'm also in what's considered the north part of Sweden. :) I can agree that Sukhi and Jinder have sometimes relied too much on other teams, and they've had many a d'oh moment - especially this last episode. I can't argue with their elimination, but who knows... if the other guys hadn't hinted at the solution to Rob and whatever his name is at the flags (something about looking for the details), Sukhi and Jinder might still be in the race and I would've much preferred that.
  5. Reading this topic I'm happy that I haven't thought about reading about The Amazing Race Canada on different boards before today. I fear my opinion about the teams would've been affected by other people's opinions whether I wanted it to or not. I like Sukhi and Jinder and thought they were fun! I was actually very annoyed with the hockey players being all huffy about Sukhi and Jinder poitning in the wrong direction... come on now! It's a race and it's not against the rules. As far as messing with another team, I thought it was merely a bit stupid and mischievous. I mean, it's not like Rob and Amber just driving past a team that's been in an accident with a car on its side basically not giving a f... Also very disappointed that the completely inept Rob and Roy (or whatever their names are) are still in the race! They won over Sukhi and Jinder fair and square this leg, but have been so BAD previously that I just can't stand their blundering team in the finale. Plus, they're boring as all heck. But hey, that's just me! Obviously, just me. Alone. Feeling... lonely. :-D :-D Also, I just don't understand why people are upset about Sukhi and Jinder not living in Canada. I wouldn't raise an eyebrow if there were an American team living in London working for the Queen in the original TAR. But then I'm Swedish, living in Sweden working a very Swedish job, so perhaps that has something to do with it.
  6. In the last episode where there was a U-turn they wasted their U-turn on Leo and Jamal one can argue.
  7. I just saw that her last name is bland and I love that that is her last name! She really is bland to me, and I can't really remember anything that she's ever said or done. Some of you seem to like her, so I might be a bit unfair in my judgement. I might have forgotten things she's said or done. (And I don't actively dislike her, I should perhaps add.)
  8. samuel: Since I also complained about the special idol I want to add that I see nothing unfair with a person having that idol whether it be Tony or Tash. I just don't like that it takes away the excitement for me as a viewer when people talk about voting out Tony (or Tash if it would have been her). It's just no fun at all with that idol in the game. But no, it's not unfair, I do agree with that, since it is a part of this season. Sadly.
  9. I have to say I am really annoyed about the number of immunity idols in play this season. Perhaps there have always been this many of them, but with the super special idol or whatever it's called, this is just getting ridiculous. I really hate that special idol as well since it will basically nullify any strategy in the episode where it's used. No matter how well a person strategizes... it won't matter. Because Tony can use it after the votes are read. That is too much power and takes away any excitement I should feel whenever someone is talking about voting Tony out. Why should I care? He can use it after the votes are read anyway. A normal idol is powerful enough and doesn't take away any excitement since you won't know until the tribal council whether a person will play it or not. Absolutely worthless new idol (for me as a viewer) and I can only hope it will never be used in any other season. Other than that I guess it was an okay episode but nothing special.
