  1. I thought the same thing. It appears they will have to repopulate the planet with only two females, and one of them appears to be a lesbian.
  2. I was very confused by Pornstache's last scene. The way he gave Bennett that big wink, and then started on his rant about loving Daya and wanting to protect the baby, at first I thought he knew what was going on and he was purposely showing up Bennett by manning up where Bennett wouldn't. Did everyone else read that as a sincere reaction? I think I need to rewatch. I don't think they ever indicated that Pornstache knew Daya and Bennett were together, but his display just seemed a little over-the-top and out of character, and I didn't get the point of that wink. I'm probably reading too much into it. I really don't see what Daya wants Bennett to do. It doesn't serve anyone for him to confess (well, except maybe for Mendez). There's no way they're going to live happily ever after in any scenario, but their best chance is for him to wait out her sentence. I also wonder who will take the baby after it's born... does Daya have any family members who aren't in jail?
  3. I wasn't a big fan of Soso, but I did like her musing that "this isn't like summer camp AT ALL." One of the big criticisms of the first season is that it portrayed prison too much like summer camp, so I thought she was speaking directly to the audience there.
  4. The "could[n't] care less" conversation warmed my geeky little heart. I never much cared for Flaca, but that scene redeemed her. My interpretation was that Piper was trying to take Morello's side, either out of tribal loyalty or (more likely) because she knew that Morello was already feeling bad and had joined the newsletter to cheer herself up. She didn't need a grammar beat-down right at that moment. I wonder if Piper would have trotted out the "language evolves" argument if the tables had been turned. I was surprised at how much I enjoyed Cindy's back story. For once I was rooting for someone to get caught.
  5. I totally agree. It could easily have been "gotcha" storytelling (which was my impression of that Audrey Tautou movie), but all the clues were there and to me the reveal felt as organic as it was surprising. It could also have seemed like character assassination, but Yael Stone sold her character so well for a full season that I still found her sympathetic despite the crazy. I even found myself mentally defending her. When the truth comes out, I really wonder how it will affect her friendships as well as her freedom. The vagina discussions were awesome. I had that exact same conversation at a slumber party in middle school, and oh how I wish we'd had Sophia there to set us all straight! (No pun intended.) Afterwards, she could have done our hair.
  6. I mock you with my monkey pants!
