  1. I don't think they'd kill off Meredith but it definitely has a last season vibe so far with the cameos and the call back in the operating room with Richard.
  2. I'm pretty sure Meredith has COVID because in part of the preview I think you can hear one of the doctors mention her lungs.
  3. It’s like they filmed it on videotape.
  4. Everybody knows Rob likes the crispy rice.
  5. That's funny about Sean Gunn because he was actually good friends with Jenna Fischer from childhood.
  6. The good thing about recording the show and watching later is that I can ff through all the Maggie and Jackson scenes.
  7. When is this season filming? Boston Rob has been off Twitter since mid-February...
  8. I'm not sure where to put this but Chris March is having some serious health issues and a GoFundMe account has been set up for him.
  9. I don't know if they'll have a season 2 but if they did I know how I would want it to end. Luke taking a break from the diner to stay home and look after the baby while Rory finishes her book and Lorelai finishes the inn and annex. :)
  10. I liked when Logan called Rory Ace at the beginning of their relationship but i hated it in the Revival. It felt patronizing and not all that sincere.
  11. The only plot line that I thought fit this description was Rory's pregnancy. While the Rory/Logan affair was kind of gross, it wasn't completely out of character. The pregnancy bothered me particularly because this is how ASP wanted the story to end when Rory was 22! If I believe this was what she intended, it actually changes how ASP saw Rory and the story itself. It's such a fatalistic view of the world -- that the daughter will repeat the mistakes of the mother and all of Lorelai's hard work and hope for her daughter meant nothing? I certainly hope that's not what she intended to be the "moral" of the story. In order to keep loving the show, I certainly can't adopt that worldview.
  12. I didn't like Rory's ending although I liked them showing her career struggle. I did really like Emily and Lorelai's stories so I was happy with that. I loved Rory in the earlier seasons 1-3, but once she hooked up with Logan and the very awful LDB I lost interest in her. The idea that ASP ran out of money for the wedding when she spent so much time and money on the LDB and the musical is hilarious, and I'm sure total bull.
  13. That was fantastic. Someone has a career in editing ahead of them. ?
  14. I agree - he didn't love her enough to go against his family and endanger his nice comfortable existence.
  15. Winter is my favorite episode partly because I like their relationship in it so much. They seem really happy -- Lorelai teasing Luke about being "super proud" and the Felix/Oscar banter. They seem like a team. That falls away a bit as the seasons go on but that's because Lorelai is so at sea about things in general. But then in Fall, you see it again after the proposal.
  16. I think there would be built-in drama for Luke and Lorelai simply from Rory's storyline and the expansion of the inn. Lorelai will have to replace Sookie for good, build the annex and help Rory with the baby -- she'll be stressed out and freaked out and she and Luke will truly have to merge their lives. She'll confide in him about how she really feels about Rory being pregnant and unmarried and she may start to doubt her parenting ability. Maybe she and Luke will rethink adopting and that will play into it.
  17. I would certainly watch another season of the revival if they choose to do it. I was happy with how L/L ended up and for Emily figuring out how to live without Richard, but I didn't like Rory's ending at all. I like the story of Rory struggling to find her calling but hate the idea of an unplanned pregnancy. Not only is it a cheap plot device but it would break Lorelai's heart. Plus Luke will probably want to kill Logan. :)
  18. I always thought S7 was better than S6 and I say that as a huge L/L shipper! S6 -especially the second half - was completely devoid of charm and warmth. The whole thing was ugly - first the fight between Lorelai and Rory and then the April storyline and breakup - ugh. I don't know if this is unpopular but I thought Alexis Bledel was really good in the revival. She carried a lot of the emotional load in her scenes and she was consistent in her portrayal of Rory. For most of the last two regular seasons, she seemed to be rushing through her lines like she couldn't wait to be done.
  19. Winter, Fall, Spring, Summer I liked both Winter and Fall quite a bit more than the other two, and liked Winter a bit more than Fall because the pace and dialogue were the most similar to the original series. I liked Fall but it was more dramatic and the direction was different. I also hated the LDB crapola and the last four words. Spring wasn't bad but Summer was terrible. I didn't wait ten years to watch Sutton Foster (even though I love her in Younger) sing and dance for 20 minutes.
  20. My UO is that I wish they hadn't shown Mr. Kim. I would have preferred they keep the mystery alive!
  21. @eyeshigh - I love your rant. I feel exactly the same way about Logan. When S7 ended Logan was headed out in his own, determined to break free from his father. But now we see him very comfortably settled back in the family business putting $300 bottles of wine on the family tab. The moment I think that clearly showed how Logan saw Rory was the final "picture" he took at the inn. She was wearing top hat like she was his entertainment, his diversion.
  22. I always thought Rory's ending would be writing about Stars Hollow in some way so this ending, at least career-wise, worked really well for me. But I hated her having an affair with Logan and becoming pregnant, especially when we know this is what ASP had plannec for her in her 10 years ago. Yes, I get "circle of life" blah blah blah, but one of the underlying themes of the series was that Lorelai wanted more for Rory. I would think that Lorelai would be heartbroken at this outcome.
  23. I can actually believe that neither one would be eager to get married again. Both had disastrous very short first marriages. And Lorelai had been engaged twice before as well. I could see how neither would be eager to try that again.
  24. At the very end of the trailer, there's a scene with, I think, Rory in her pajamas on the front porch, with Luke in a tux and Jess. Rory squeals and hugs Jess. Is that what others see?
