  1. I recently re-watched the first-ever episode. He was so much more likable then; cute, even... Looked exactly like brother Curtis, only with hair. Reality TV sure has a way of chewing people up and spitting them out. Even now, he's tons more attractive than Bray-dee.
  2. This whole family is really very unlikable. Wonder if we can find anything to say, LOL?
  3. Not sure to which thread to add this (there are too many), but here's a You Tube of the older girls discussing courting and promoting their new book. The feed messes up in the beginning, but press on (although I couldn't finish the whole thing). Poor Jana gets cut off by Chatty Jill -- does anyone else think she and her guy look alike, BTW? -- and Jinger doesn't say a word but is sure giving Jill the side eye! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cJnnhJVNKh4
  4. Great documentary, as always. I would suspect that the apparent widespread practice of starting the antibiotics and then stopping halfway through (because of the number and side effects) might have something to do with the development of antibiotic-resistant strains; it's well known that this practice causes bacteria to grow stronger, proliferate, and become treatment-resistant. Why could the little girl not return home to her brother? His soliloquy on being alone was very beautiful; wish I could find the transcript of that.
  5. LOL! Agree, but love him; also the Vincent Price comparison. LOL! Agree, but love him; also the Vincent Price comparison.
  6. Did anyone else cringe at Brady's objection to the not-date because his "little girl" would be going out "with someone else"? Ew! And the "health scare"? What I gathered from all that mama-drama was that Rhonda's mother died of breast cancer, she probably has polycystic disease or adenomas (both common; the previous scare), and she's scheduled a mammogram and checkup. What "x-rays" did she go for earlier, what were the results, and what "symptoms" of cancer is she experiencing? Seemed like much ado about nothing with shades of "The Little Couple," but then this is TLC. It was nice to see some sister-wife empathy, or they're better actors than the Browns. Each week, I look for Rosemary, Robin, or even Paulie to get her turn in the spotlight, but it's still "The Rhonda and Noni Show." Also, if they were truly sister-wives, Rhonda would be free to work while her sister-wives cared for her children -- including the one she still wants to adopt. And very strange that he wants her to quit her job.
  7. I'm don't know that Will "loves salads and vegetables." It's what they put on his plate, so he eats it. I also don't know why this show, although we can all agree they're head and shoulders above -- no pun intended -- the other reality TV families, is somehow off limits to criticism or differing opinions when the likes of the Duggars or Roloffs are crucified on boards week after week. Jen has been deified. And I never said I don't have kids; only that I don't generally like them... :) But I love both Will and Zoey, however; no complaints there... And, of course, Bill...
  8. That was good; it was just like the recap reality shows are always giving us. My very first TLC reality show moment: some kids playing, and then the parents telling us what we just saw. I was like, "Why?" But then the wife started abusing the husband, and I was hooked on reality TV. I think Jodo and I agree that they need more fats in their diet, and I'm on board with them being healthy fats. Maybe if they had a yard to run around in to burn off calories with Nini before she moved out or Kate - where is Kate? - they could afford to eat more!
  9. I remember Jen was all about getting that thumb out of Will's mouth five minutes after they met him. She might have to practice reverse psychology on that one!
  10. Somehow, I don't think Jen standing there arguing with him about whether or not there's cake to the point where he cries is going to help him resolve his issues with food (assuming he has any). Most toddlers are finicky, not shoveling every edible thing they can find into their mouths; it's clear he's hungry. Give him some rib-sticking food of substance (that wouldn't be salad, or what looked like just lettuce leaves) and then, since it's clear they've trained him to expect dessert afterwards, a little cookie or whatever. Then end dinner and divert his attention. I did have to laugh when Bill said they were a family now and could sit around telling stories over dinner. Not until Will stops yelling for cake, LOL. Zoey was also saying, "Eat!" as soon as they pulled up to the table at the hospital cafeteria, then she tore into the bagel with her two teeth. Dang... Will looked happier in that orphanage video than he did in this last episode. I hope that changes soon... That's true; Will did go potty before the swim lesson.
  11. Oops; looks like we're talking about the wrong episode on the wrong thread! As I said elsewhere, not a fan of the thread per show; discussions naturally encompass topics not limited to just one episode, and it's time-consuming to have to refer to many threads per reality series, but JMO.

  13. Robyn would be all for that if Sis would babysit so she can have more "dates" with Cody; after all, it's been so long! Doesn't look like Meri's planning to step up to the plate.
  14. Kids need fat; we ALL need fat, actually. Is Jen fat-phobic? Kids, especially, not only for growth, but for optimal brain development.
  15. Yeah; where is Kate (or the grandparents)? I certainly hope they're helping and it's just not shown, for whatever reason. If not, poor Bill!
  16. What MrMattyMatt said; they are co-producers, so can't call foul if something unflattering is shown, and they ARE opening their lives to us for praise (which I think Jen is quite enjoying) as well as criticism. I, too, enjoy the show, but see them as humans with good and bad traits; not through rose-colored glasses; nor am I elevating Jen to some superhuman plane because she has cancer as so many are... Also, I stand corrected on cakegate: While Will was still at the table, Jen (after going on and on about cake), says, "If you chill, LATER you can have a cookie, before bed." Then she caves and he goes straight from the table to the highchair for cookies (Bill is still washing the dishes, which he started right after dinner, so it's not bedtime.) Poor Will must be so confused, and I, too, noticed some regression. Jen had to remind him to use a utensil and napkin; really? Cast your mind back to the FIRST meal they ever shared in China, in the hotel restaurant. Did they not marvel that Will automatically used utensils and cleaned up? With the napkin, I mean (we know he "cleans up" food). Also, when Bill was in charge and Jen was working, seems to me there were more burgers brought in, Chinese takeout, and Goldfish for snacks -- more filling food. Anyone who's tried to diet will confirm that just veggies (or even pasta without much oil) don't fill you up for long, and children DO need fat. Has she consulted a dietician, or is she just panicking at the thought of having an obese child (being a perfectionist)? Will is clearly less happy since the adoption - whether that's Zoey or because because Jen is at home doing the parenting now. I noticed, too, that Bill says, "You don't need to be here." in the promo, but it's edited out of the show. He's probably feeling pretty run-over and overwhelmed. But to end on a positive note: Zoey is ADOOOORABLE! :)
  17. What's Bill supposed to do; force Will to kiss Jen? Some people click and some don't (even in bio families). I honestly don't see any misbehavior on Will's part, but then I haven't drunk the Jen kool-ade... ;)
  18. Styrofoam cup: I hope not, but some southern gentlemen around here carry one to hold smokeless tobacco "juice." Surely to heavens not, but that was weird. Poor guy seems to have social anxiety, so maybe it was just a security blanket or maybe a drink to assuage nervous dry mouth.
  19. He's always worried about hurting someone's feelings, and she's always hurting someone's feelings. A match made in heaven! He IS cute, though.
  20. Wow; do we really need a thread for every wife? I'm good with just a general thread and then one per show; don't know about anyone else... What if he adds more wives, or "wifes," as they pronounce it?
  21. "This bedroom is so dark; it has no natural light or windows or has a bad view." Hello, it's for SLEEPING.
  22. If you'll rewatch, you'll see that the daughter made quite the point of "we all took turns with Mom and that wasn't going to fly."
  23. Again, I didn't see Will "take" anything from Zoey or refuse to give anything back (are we watching the same show?). It was more like Jen wanted that to be "Zoey and Mommy Time" and Will made the mistake of coming along (Bill was busy washing the dishes). And I stand corrected: Will smiled when the dinner plate was put down! I still say salad doesn't stick with you long and they need more bad comfort food with a higher fat content like good ole' mac-and-cheese! Bet Jen would never allow that. Agree that Bill and Jen need to get on the same page; Bill laughed when Will painted his hand at the pottery place, and then Jen scolded and punished him for doing the exact same thing when they were having "Mommy and Will Time" painting the pictures. Doesn't Jen watch their own show, lol? Epic inconsistent parenting fail! Bill is laid-back, but I don't see Will as "spoiled"; he just doesn't cotton to Jen. Zoey seems cool with all parties, although there's an unmistakable twinkle in her eye when interacting with Bill.
  24. I wish they WOULD show how to sell salable stuff on eBay. Personally, I also have a hard time parting with anything I think could be of value (I'm cheap), but have yet to learn how to do it; I'm at the point of just trucking it to an eBay online service warehouse and taking a 35% hit on it. On the rare occasional show when the hoarder hoards coconut-head dolls instead of sail cats and moldy TV dinner trays.
