Yes, I'm pretty sure that Craig can't say anything about any talk show that may compete with CBS, even if its syndicated. It was interesting to hear tonight that Tim Meadows has been on the show 43 times now. I wonder if that beats Kristen Bell, who used to hold the record but hasn't been on too often in the last four years or so. As she said last week, she was too busy breeding.

Only three weeks of new shows now, and I was sorry to see William Shatner for the last time, and to hear him say that this was his only venue. Now that I think about it, he really isn't on any talk show other than this . He is a great guest, and I'm hoping that the new host will have him on.

I like the idea of Leno being the last guest. The final three weeks are packed with people who are friends of the show, and I look forward to seeing all of them one last time. However, I'm not sure that any of them need the pressure of being the very last guest. Leno, on the other hand, knows exactly what its like to leave a talk show for the very last time and head off into the unknown. I think it will work out fine.

I'm not sure I like the product placement for Ford, with Dave asking for a free Mustang .I have a Mustang myself, and I love it, but Dave makes millions of dollars every year and can afford any car he wants, so it comes across as shilling for the sponsor of the show. He won't be there too much longer, so why start now?

Nice to see a new show again, complete with a couple from Transylvania. You don't see that every day, or maybe ever. Congrats to the wardrobe people for coming up with a Dracula cape by the end. I also saw his game show tonight for the first time. I thought he did well as the host, but it's not the sort of thing I would normally watch.

Just wanted to add how much I liked the Jan Hooks tribute. She was really pretty in that, and still looked pretty good as an old woman. As was already pointed out, that bit was not meant to be funny, but it was whimsical,l and the best send-off I think they could have come up with. The End.

Nice to see a new show again, with Craig just back from Japan. I hope the rest of the week is new, because next week we go into reruns. I thought Kathy Bates was a great guest, although WAY out of shape. Still., entertaining and fun. I was wondering if Craig gave her his old snake mug, since it had a fang missing like his old one did. I looked for the "censored" label on the bottom, but didn't see it .
