Almost all of the pros are from the former Soviet Union or Mormons. It would not make sense to point that out. Keo making the finals is not Obama groundbreaking, but it is noteworthy.

This show loves black male athletes and Carlton. I started seriously loathing Len after seeing how he treated Mario 2.0.

They are young, single, very attractive and in constant physical contact. Seems natural to me.

I do not like this trend of “re-imagining” songs. Just slow it down , strum a guitar and sing in a low slightly menacing voice and it seems you will have a hit. Mr Sandman really tried my patience.

And this is why I cannot stand him. I want to see dancing. Ballroom dancing. Not table-dancing, skirt-swishing (his go-to move for rhythm-challenged celebs )or synchronized hand-clapping. I am so glad he is gone.

Stars who have previous dance training experience growth and also have a journey. They work just as hard, if not harder. With Tinashe and Brandon you also get see this in the pro. Zendaya was someone who was a good dancer from the start and showed improvement. Jenna needs to hush.

The middle aged white women who make up the largest voting bloc will always choose the mediocre white male over the beautiful talented Black chick. They have done it time and time again.

It happens consistently with talented , attractive black women.

The issue that I have is the same generalization has been made about a certain type of woman who is of African-American descent. She is cocky, arrogant, has an attitude. When you see the same comment over and over, not backed up by example just a “feeling”, it is not a reach to believe race is the motivation. Mya, Zendaya, Tinashe, Brandy, Normani ... all labeled with some version of this tired reality TV trope. My problem is not that some people do not like these women, to say that is the issue is a pivot. My problem is that these women are so often labeled in the same negative fashion. Black women who are confident and capable are so often seen in a negative light. Pointing this out and speaking on it is not the problem. Lack of “nefarious “ intent is not absolution.

It is because people come up with the same tired dog-whistle reasons. Every.Single.Time. And because as a Black woman in the workplace, I see and hear the same thing. The truth is there for those willing to see it.

Little girl Tinashe, singing her heart out, was adorable. Also, her dad cracked me up when they went to him in the audience after Erin said he was good-looking.

Laurie is Hispanic. I realize there are many Hispanic people of African descent, but I am not sure if Laurie identifies herself as Afro-Hispanic. The group that is regularly screwed by the voting public on DWTS is attractive,confident, talented Black and biracial/Black women. The cocky Black woman with a bad attitude is reality TV gold.

I went back and looked at Kellies dances. It made me a little crazy. She was personable but she had no rhythm and could not dance. Derek kept her in hold and played to her one strength of being limber.

Keo is a good-looking guy. He is usually gone by now, so I guess I forgot. John needs to go, though I guess I should hope he stays for the sake of his kids. Maybe he will earn enough money to pay child-support. Love Milo, Evanna and Tinashe. Alex too.

Milo looks like Ross Geller. Not an insult. He is adorable. Tinashe. Poor girl. Dancing for Deplorables. On that note, I wish John would go. Poor Sharna. Demarcus is a nice combination of natural ability, enthusiasm and hard work.
