  1. I noticed that too. It seemed meant to draw attention to his dick, and that’s not something I want to think about. I’m glad he stood up to Barr somewhat, but he really seems placating with him. He needs to call Barr on his BS, the religious nonsense was laughable. I’ve see Mace on Face the Nation, and she was very critical of Santos and the rest of the congressional crazies, but you wonder the same thing about her that you question with Adam Kinzinger-why stay with this party of grifters and fools? There are democrats that are moderate and pull red votes like Manchin, give it a shot.
  2. When they showed the view from on top of the cliff after Tyson spoke, I got a little apprehensive about Adam...
  3. With the white eyebrows, it looked like a type of falcon called a Merlin. Between that and what appeared to be a Little Little Blue Heron, this was a fun episode to exercise my bird ID skills.
  4. Yeah, that caved-in jawline makes people people look like they're always pouting, and I have a hard time seeing them as pretty. It's not her fault, but her humble-brag turned me off, and I wish she'd been the one to go rather than Sophie, but I'm glad at least one left. I bet Sarah is making masks right now. Go Tony, and it's an indication of how much a threat he is that the girls decided to extort him.
  5. His heart didn't seem to be in it once the tribes swapped. Where he landed was the worst possible outcome for him, other than being in Sandra's. He had no cover on that new one. Forcing his old tribemates to stay near was a Draconian measure that was bound to alienate them. He had to know he was doomed.
  6. I didn’t know what to call it, lol. Very funny about Ben. What I remember about the puzzle part was Sandra on the sidelines, being a cheerleader, as per usual. She shouldn’t be able to skip the challenges, as pointed out by another poster. Someone else made the point about Rob and Sandra probably being weary from the previous season, and that could explain the lethargy. I’m worried about Rob too, and so is Rob C., but then he seemed to worry about everyone.
  7. They were behind because Rob wasted too much time trying to throw the leash up to catch on the slot so they could climb up. He should have been pushed out of the way much earlier, partly the team’s fault, and I know someone was standing in his way when he was trying to put the last piece in, so also not entirely his fault, but still not a good look. In the past, he would have completed. I didn’t mean to imply any of that, he’s the Tony Soprano of Survivor, shrewd and savvy, and I love the guy, with a native intelligence that isn’t always readily apparent. He does seem to be realizing the truth about Sandra. I just think he needs someone to light a fire under his butt because his game’s been lazy this season. I’d love to see the Sandra/Rob stand-off at the end that they seem to be implying will happen (which means it won’t) but he has a long way to go.
  8. Yes that was one of the more beautiful sequences, it almost looked like a cruise line ad.
  9. I expect Rob at least to be dumped sooner than later due to his terrible play in the challenges. He’s admittedly blown two of them, and no one even uses it against him. I’m really disappointed in his non-existent gameplay, and even his statements in Tribal Council are lacking in any salient content. He doesn’t seem to care this outing, and maybe he feels that way because of Ambuh being voted out. It took way too long for him to realize that Sandra is no ally. Rob never was the brightest, but he had physicality and intimidation to make up for it. He’s living on his past reputation. I respect Sandra’s game, but I never could warm up to her. Natalie is one of the smarter players for sure.
  10. I know he hates any reference to his son, but Mike made a big mistake there. No kid ever forgets being dressed down by their grandparent, and that’s another incident to ruin Kaylee’s warm memories. This was the first time I’ve ever found Tio to be cute, when he was sipping that awful concoction. I guess Lalo being removed from his indiscriminate murdering ways makes him more appealing, since I can’t help but like him. It was good to see Ocho Loco again being hilariously dumb, and Nacho becoming a leader with initiative. This episode was a return to the usual high standards, after wrapping up some plot lines from the premier, and extremely enjoyable.
  11. Yes, who knows how long he's gone without using his brain or skills. I can see him getting back into the game just to relieve the monotony, since he believes he can always outwit the law. Although I was a little disappointed in the first show, Gene's story is starting to take shape where some type of reversion is going to to take place, and I just hope we don't have to wait for season 6 to witness it. I also believe Kim won't die. She's sort of fulfilling the Jesse role of BCS, someone who her mentor tries to manipulate, but has native intelligence and street smarts in abundance enough to save herself and outdo her teacher. She may even end up saving Gene herself. She engenders too much admiration for her true goodness. She's (like Jesse) the real hero.
  12. I know Saul's displayed a cavalier attitude towards disposing of people, but he's never been an outright murderer himself, and I don't think that would even solve his problem, since the cabbie is an obvious loudmouth, and who knows how many other people he would talk to about his revelation aside from his friend. It'll be interesting to see how he deals with their blackmail attempt, possibly ending up in his employ, but I do believe he's at the stage where his life has become so mundane that he's starting to feel like he has nothing to lose. I can't see him keeping up this pretense for much longer, although Alaska would probably be more of a boring hell to him than Omaha. I do laugh when people blithely suggest that large numbers of people should or would be taking a dirt nap.
  13. Agreed, they’re ticking all the boxes to appeal to women in today’s America, but Edie elevates anything she appears in, so I’ll be back next week.
  14. As far as the bangs, Billy was on Kelly and Michael the other day, and he said he was trying to figure out how to portray the character, and he hit on the idea of bangs as representing innocence, giving an ironic twist to the evil Lorne. They showed the "there be dragons" clip, and it was enough to pique my interest.
