  1. The lack of respirators kept pulling me out of the scenes. Especially Maggie with what she already went through. I would have figured she would have been the first to insist on wearing one -- or at least having one on her. I thought that Blake had mentioned temporary guardianship during that conversation before she went into surgery. That's when I got suspicious!
  2. This annoyed me too. They were so worried about getting fired. I would have fired them for not investigating the perp more. When they both looked at each other in wonder like "we can investigate her finances". "Wow, who would have thought of that?" Duh! They needed to be fired in that instant😂
  3. Dixon said that there was an article that said that the tech guy ran in Central Park every morning at 5 AM. The victim probably read that article and hoped to catch him while he was running.
  4. I hate that he found that key... It's going to be awhile before he lets this go!
  5. When I saw who was at the table, I told my husband I was going to be annoyed by the end. Andrew did not disappoint; I was annoyed. It was my birthday too. I had to find a palate cleanser after watching like cake!😀
  6. This seems to be a consensus...I didn't enjoy her character at all. I appreciate that she's Sam W's real-life daughter, but no more lawyering from her...
  7. This is where I am right now. I watched "Pink" first and haven't checked out any of the other eps. Not interested any more -- I really was not a fan of this episode. I wish I had investigated the order to watch before!
  8. I liked the case. It does feel a bit more like the old school episodes. I thought of "Hubris" as well. The scarf was a point that stuck with me too. Establishing that the murder weapon was found at the home of a person that the defendant directed them to whom there was no reason for the defendant to be in contact with. It might not have kept the feminist lawyer off the stand, but I did think it was a point they could have utilized more during their strategy session instead of addressing it in 2 sentences. IANAL but it bugged me.
  9. This. There are not many women who would marry someone in a month. An even smaller number of those would quit their jobs, uproot their lives, and move across country after one month to live with someone who is going to grad school without a job. It's a huge leap of faith that could end up in a horror show--even worse than a quicky wedding. One month isn't enough time for that kind of trust... Hopefully the show will keep this particular scenario in mind when selecting contestants. I know they want the drama but this wasn't even good drama. It was just sad. I do believe that Raven loves him. She loves the idea of having a family too but it seems like they vibed really well. I expect it may not be over yet.
  10. Amen! Maybe that's why they seem to be friends! I knew when she said she didn't wear outfits more than once... I am OK with Raven too. At first, I thought she was completely playing along so she could be on the show, but I think she does care about SK. I think the biggest problem is the timing since he's leaving to go to school. I do think he is her type of guy because once he gets out of school, he would be able to improve her standard of living. At least they don't have weird dynamics (that we have seen).
  11. 100%. He keeps flying off the handle so quickly and yelling he's leaving. Yeah, she should have called before going to the club. But really is that a breaking up with her offense? It was kind of a special night with a lot of her girlfriends from the pods there. It's not a complete surprise that they might have wanted to hang out a little longer. I know, right? She's really pretty. But she keeps acting like she is hideous and huge and there's no way Cole could be attracted to her physically. I thought Cole was going to be a total jerk but besides the conversation with Colleen (which was ill-advised, and he has owned up to that), he has been pretty straight forward with Zanab that we have seen. She needs some therapy to help with her self-esteem. I was a little confused as to why Bartise told his family about the abortion conversation. Given the fact that he is very close to his family, I would guess that he knew their opinions. Don't bring that up when they first meet! I'm not sure if it really is the family's business but either way, not during the first meet. Then, his speech before Matt called. Ugh! Nancy needs to run as well!
  12. She was driving me a little crazy. I don't think Cole is the deepest dude there but when she shut him down when he tried to ask probing questions, I kept yelling at the screen, "This is why you aren't married!" She only likes the guys who like dating the cute ballerina. That's a problem. I am not quite as engaged this year. I feel like it will be a messier show, but probably not much for long relationships. It may still be fun to watch...
  13. I kept looking at my watch, thinking there had to be more. Otherwise, I truly wasted that hour. Was there a conclusion to a story that explained anything? No... Was there a cliffhanger? No... Was there a happy come-together moment like NCIS: LA or NCIS: Hawaii? No... Just confusion and irritation... It would have made more sense if, after Anna died, Voight just took off this vest, handed his badge to Halstead, and walked away...
  14. This is a trainwreck! One that I binged in one day! I wonder if the creators of the show considered that the first week of the 2nd trial marriage with the original couples would be such a sh!tstorm? One flaw in this premise (among all the other flaws) is that 3 weeks is a short time and those relationships are likely very stress-free and fun. The new couples are playing with house money. Then you go back to your original mate. The relationship must have been a bit flawed (at least) or the couple wouldn't have been on "The Ultimatum". AND, I don't care what anyone agrees to -- jealousy is going to rear its head when your girlfriend/boyfriend is dating and sleeping in the bed with someone else for 3 weeks. The first week of the second trial marriage is set up to be turbulent and ugly. And it was. I guess that's what we want to see, right? I agree with this. History seemed like the main reason for any of the original couples to stay together. At least Rae got a backbone. I wonder if she was hoping that Jake might come back and choose her? Ding, ding, ding...
  15. I agree with that. Also, I rewatched Kate's flashbacks the morning after and in one of them, it looks like Anthony had no pants on (you can see what looks like his naked hip). Also, he might have put his pants back on to sleep. I have wondered about Kate's past. She didn't seem surprised by anything that occurred beteen her and Anthony. Maybe a little ashamed of her lack of willpower😀 but not unaware of how sex worked. I don't know if Mary broke sex down in detail like that for Kate. I just didn't think she was a virgin. And ironically based on how smitten Anthony is with her, he probably was less concerned about that fact himself. As long as she had the reputation of being a lady, I don't think her being a virgin would mattered either way for him.
  16. True! My response was: OUR PRODUCT DOES NOT WORK.
  17. I didn't expect Jess to die, either. I thought he and Jen would go on vacation and then he would decide to scale back and travel. While Tali was an annoying teen, I felt sorry for her because now she has lost both parents. I guess she will go stay with her grandparents (wherever they are). I could tell that the actress playing Barnes was pregnant during the show, and I hadn't seen the announcement at the time. Maybe they will bring in that agent from the previous episode that was working with Kristin. They will have to bring in someone, at least for a while. I don't mind the new leader. I liked Richard Wheatley (strictly entertainment) during the first season, but he did hang around too long. I like Julian too (big Nip/Tuck fan) and it took me a while to get used to him playing a nice guy. I will still keep all three FBIs on my viewing list, although International is more background than anything!
  18. I read an interview where Natalie said that she and Shayne dated/tried again for several months after the failed wedding. And we don't know when that dating period actually ended, so it may not have all that long ago when they broke up for good. Everything is just raw for them....
  19. Whew. I think it would have been difficult to sit on that stage with all the emotional baggage there. I literately felt all of Natalie and Shayne's emotions. I believe they love each other still. That doesn't mean that I think they should be together, but regret is going to hound them. I know Natalie says she doesn't like to think about it that way, but how can you not? We often regret something even when you know it was for the best and right now you can tell the wounds are still fresh for both of them. I bet they have tried to work it out more than once... And yes, I believe Shayne needs some maturity, be it from self-awareness or therapy. Natalie has her flaws too, but nothing merited her the verbal barrage Shayne gave her before the wedding. mirandroid, this is a very good point that I keep forgetting to consider. Maybe his emotions around his father are making him appear more fragile than he actually is? He seems to show flashes of being a stand-up (if hyper) guy *as with Deepti). I actually thought Shayne might swing on Shake when Shake grabbed him and said, "Shut up!" Nick looked like he was ready to throw down too when Shake said he was attracted to Vanessa. I appreciated that there was no bloodshed. I don't think Shake is nuanced enough to be the villain on another show. You have to have some self-awareness and some chill to be a villain. He seemed to exhibit that during most of the show. But since the show aired, he has been coming hard for everyone and been getting dragged regularly on Social Media. If everyone sees you coming, you can't sneak up on someone. And in that case, you have to be incredibly smooth to make the villain edit work. I am not sure he can do that. I think Jarette and Iyanna have a real shot at making it work. I am glad Nick and Danielle are still together, but I still think they will crash and burn at some point. Hopefully, before they have any kids. And how cool is it to be the one person on the show that everyone would ride or die for (except Shake)? Go Deepti, go!
  20. All of my predictions were wrong. Oh well! While watching the rest of the show, I didn't feel like Jarrette was as in it with Iyanna. But at the wedding, he seemed like he was 1000% in it for the long haul. It was a different energy. Maybe he was showing that to her when the cameras weren't on. And she seemed to have dealt with the second choice issues -- at least for now. I thought Shake and Deeps were going to say yes and treat it like an arranged marriage situation where the chemistry is a work-in-progress. I had this same thought! Live your best life, Deeps!
  21. I enjoyed it. I am so glad that it is back and will give it some time to find its groove. I just remember there were some episodes in the middle of the original run that I skip in reruns because they were difficult to watch. I will get used to Jeffrey Donovan as someone not Michael Weston (that's where I am most familiar with him) and everyone else was fine. Jamie Ross is the reason I am commenting. I wasn't really surprised that she was feeling for the defendant because I remember her as a defense attorney (in 1999 and 2001) on the Mothership. She was dragged into court about an anonymous tip in one ep and she defended a teenaged shooter in the other. I recall that after she left the DA's office, she had changed her perspective (not that she did anything wrong in those cases). And that she has a soft spot for some defendants. Either way, I am glad it's back.
  22. In this episode (I think it was this ep), he told her about his lack of attraction on screen. I seem to remember her mentioning before this ep that they hadn't had sex but I could be blurring scenes together. Basically, your point is correct: I don't think he should just be talking about the situation to everyone he meets.😮 I do believe Deepti is at least somewhat aware of how he feels because they haven't slept together yet. I think they can work on it as people in arranged marriages do. He needs to work on it and stop waiting for something to happen. That's all.
  23. True. But he knows how arranged marriages work. The couple has to work on that attraction. He says that everything else about Deepti is perfect except that. Was he working on it? They hadn't really tried yet. It seems like he was waiting for lightning to strike him and that's not how that works. Shane had the right idea: get in there every night and see how it goes. Talking about it wasn't going to answer his question. It is possible that it might not happen for them. But if he really wants the relationship to work, put in the work to see what magic might happen. Deepti was down to try...
  24. I appreciated his reasons too. I liked the fact that Natalie listened and acknowledged his wishes even if they were contrary to what would benefit her family. It seems like they were in a place that they could compromise without a lot of drama. The fact that he asked her what did she want to include from her culture impressed me --for a moment. Perhaps it was producer driven. Or maybe he actually had thought of that. If he did, then maybe Natalie and Shane have actually talked about race and they just didn't show it.
  25. Oh my gosh, yes. Why should anyone accept grown people coming to your house and breaking tables? That is unacceptable as a college student but grown married people? Being grown doesn't mean you can't party, but tearing up other people's furniture because you are drunk is ridiculous. She's being ridiculous for that...
