  1. They're basically already on this road with the way they're writing the wedding story-line. The whole thing feels like a very straight wedding that just happens to involve two men.
  2. Ha, I'm glad I'm not the only who thinks the introduction of Patrick pretty much ruined this show. No fault against the actor - he's great - it's the way this character is written and the way the show just begs us to be so smitten with this conflict-free, fantasy of a relationship that just kills it all for me. Look, I get that this is meant to be a light, warm-and-fuzzy, love-based show. And I felt like that worked well when the Roses still had a slight edge of vinegar to them, and they served as a gentle foil to the town (and vice-versa) - but, at this point, everyone is getting along, everyone loves each other, there are zero dramatic stakes and absolutely nothing happens in each episode. Because the characters have all essentially "grown," there's really nowhere else for them to go. And I personally will always find a wedding story-line boring - whether it's reality TV, dramatic storytelling or comedic storytelling - I can't drum up interest in it. And especially the way they're playing this - it's like a light comedy version of "The Bachelor" or "Bachelorette." "Let's all be smitten and charmed by David and Patrick's ideal love story!" I feel like other shows have done an amazing job of giving us truly loving partnerships while also being honest about the kinds of conflicts that can put a relationship to the test - Friday Night Lights, for example, or even The Osbournes for a lighter example. Patrick is just this "perfect" guy who adores every single one of David's annoying quirks. To me, it's the ultimate of it there being no there there. It's a never-ending repeat of Patrick singing "Simply the Best" to David over and over. We get it. They're in love. They're perfect together. They're getting married. Next?
  3. You are not alone! Jennifer is by far my favorite on Jersey. Look, I get she's problematic in ways, but that's part of what makes a great Housewife (for me). I think she has heart, she has culture, she's messy without being cruel, and she's funny.
  4. Not to add my voice to a familiar chorus, but seriously? I know I watched Heroes/Hustlers/Healers, and I see that Ben created a lot of controversy here, and I am telling you: I have zero memory of this guy. I even went and watched some highlight clips from this season - and I do not recognize any of these people! It's honestly making me concerned for my memory! That said, I do remember Denise - the sex therapist who teamed up with Malcolm - but I don't remember her winning.
  5. Totally agree with all of this. Their relationship always feels like such a fantasy to me and it really lessens my enjoyment of the show. I don't think there's anything dramatically interesting about David and Patrick together, and I feel like the show is always asking me to be smitten with them and their perfect love. I also don't think they have any romantic chemistry, it always feels so forced to me when they're in any way intimate. I know I'm in the minority, but I feel like Schitt's Creek took a major downward turn with Patrick's arrival.
  6. Tom was in the wrong, but Stassi was also in the wrong for her reaction. She literally went out of her way to scream at him (unprovoked) and then yelled, "How dare you do this at my event?" Um, no, Stassi, you're the one "doing it" at your event. Honestly, I can't fault Tom for being anti-Stassi but he does need to man up and admit that he was being a bitch and that he let his personal feelings get the best of him.
  7. She did indeed push him into the pool - and yet this very episode she said that she would never do anything to cause bodily harm to someone! I get that shoving someone into the pool will most usually be harmless, but it is a gesture that could go wrong - and someone could get potentially injured from it. Margaret gets away with a lot of nasty behavior. Remember when she mocked Jennifer's brother for getting a mail order bride? And then she had no understanding why Jennifer was offended?
  8. If this is true, then Caroline is even more of an idiot than I originally thought. It's amazing the lengths these people will go to vilify anyone they don't like on these shows. According to Margaret, Marty is some innocent pawn in Danielle's evil game, and I guess according to Caroline, Joe Giudice was driven to criminal ends by demanding Teresa. Do they not realize that people are responsible for their own actions? I swear most of these cast members have the emotional maturity of high school kids.
  9. Per her instagram, Braunwyn has started filming for Season 15.
  10. Yes to all of this. Just yes. At this point I'm more disgusted by Andy and the rest of the cast than I am by LeeAnne. Get off your fucking high horses.
  11. Yes, I love watching Vicki! To explain further... I think Vicki makes great television precisely because she is so lacking in self-awareness. She has no capacity to edit herself. No ability to create a false face for the cameras. And I will also agree with those who have said that Vicki is more dimensional than someone like Braunwyn. Yes, she is needy, delusional and entitled. She is also a successful entrepreneur and she actually raised kids who seem to be doing well (without excessively spoiling them - aka financing a whole frigging fashion show for them as teenagers). I will admit Vicki has definitely been stretched thin the past few seasons - Steve hasn't been a good influence for her story-wise because she seems much more "reigned in" - and perhaps it is time for her to go. But I do find Vicki to be one of the realest housewives of any franchise. She can't help being who she is. And I find that compelling even if she is an incredibly problematic person.
  12. Can someone explain to me why exactly Kelly is so mad at Shannon?
  13. Ha I think it's "Chart" or something equally ridiculous. Cort and Chart.
  14. Yeah, I don't condone what LeeAnne said - AT ALL - but I'm also rolling my eyes at Cort's indignation. Anyone listen to the Bitch Sesh podcast? There was an audience member at one of the live shows who reported sitting next to Cort's brother at a wedding and he was brazenly saying a lot of anti-Semitic stuff at the table. Now, I know Cort is not his brother, and shouldn't be judged by him, but I get the distinct feeling Cort's "offense" is strictly about appearances. Which...if that is the case...I'd rather you be like LeeAnne and be visible in your bigotry than hiding it behind clutched pearls.
  15. Except that Kelly was the one to bring it up on camera. So, if Kelly is mad at Tamra for bringing up the "train" rumor on camera, then she has no leg to stand on.
  16. Does anyone know why the case against Shannon was dismissed but not the one against Tamra?
  17. Not speaking about Shannon's body, but I will say I am always shocked how much better she looks in the face in her first season. This isn't about age - it was only 5 years ago - she has just not had great work done. Not sure if it's plastic surgery or fillers or what, but she should definitely lay off.
  18. Does she actually admit to it in the video? Because on IG, she is claiming this is a scam run by Mexican locals on tourists.
  19. Thank you. So "edge" basically refers to a hairline? And this actually has nothing to do with wigs (guess I was far off on that one ha). That seems like such a mean thing to make fun of someone about.
  20. Okay, confession time: I've literally tried to google this for the answer and still have come up empty - as a man who has never worn a wig or a weave, I have no idea what an "edge" is or why the women seem to talk about them so much. Can someone please enlighten me?
  21. In the words of Jill Zarin, "Just because you say it, doesn't mean it's true." Yes, Vicki chose to believe Brooks - and I fully admit she may have done so suspecting things weren't totally on the level, but that doesn't mean she and Brooks sat down at the start of the season and hatched a scheme together. It's important to remember that Vicki actually asked Shannon to help Brooks find a great doctor at City of Hope - why would she do that if she knew Brooks was faking and couldn't actually go see a doctor? He ended up faking two flat tires in order to avoid the appointment. I don't believe Vicki was consciously in on some scheme to make money off Brooks' fake cancer. Kelly never had an issue with Vicki when she (Kelly) also needed a friend. None of the other women liked Kelly for her entire first season. Tamra, Shannon and Heather despised her and Meghan waffled in the middle. Kelly needed Vicki as much as Vicki needed Kelly. So, I stand by my assessment that Kelly had no trouble overlooking Vicki being a conwoman when it suited her. She is not some benevolent, self-sacrificing friend. And Vicki absolutely had other friends when she befriended Alexis. She was getting along with both Heather and Tamra that season. Did she get closer with Alexis in reaction to Tamra becoming fake besties with Gretchen? Absolutely. But she wasn't on the outs with Tamra by any means. Vicki also stayed loyal to Alexis to the end of Alexis' time on the show (and even some time after).
  22. Call me naive, but it's really hard for me to believe that Vicki knowingly, consciously went in on a cancer scheme. I'd actually believe that sooner of Gretchen than I would of Vicki. In 14 seasons on this show, we've never seen her do anything else remotely like that. I can believe, however, that she would be a self-involved partner who wasn't really there for Brooks in his time of "need" and lied about the binder to make it seem like she was helping out more with his care than was actually true. I would also believe that she perhaps "knowingly/unknowingly" stayed away from his cancer treatment because some part of her knew that he was lying and she didn't want to know the truth, and so again, she made it seem like she was involved in his care when she was really keeping her distance. That would of course be a kind of complicity.
  23. The problem though is that Kelly never had an issue with Vicki being a "conwoman" before, so which is it? Does Kelly really care about the morality here or is she simply looking for ways to defame Vicki? Either Kelly was originally willing to overlook Vicki being in on a cancer scam in order to have a friend on the show or else she is now lying about thinking VIcki is a conwoman in order to make her look bad. Either way, Kelly doesn't have a moral leg to stand on - there's dishonesty on her part in either scenario. Which makes her not much better than Vicki.
  24. And let's be honest, Kary has no interest in actually working for her money. She has a vanity business that she wants to be successful a la Skinnygirl. I think if having her own money actually meant humbling herself to, you know, work for someone else, put in steady hours on a daily basis and be very much behind the scenes, she would gladly let her husband take care of everything. This woman is kind of awful. She comes off like a huge, entitled whiner.
