  1. I agree. I definitely felt like Tiffany's tour to the ladies was in huge part for the benefit of the cameras - and I was grateful for it! I'm loving her as an addition so far - this season already feels so much lighter and fresher without Leeanne.
  2. Kam is fascinating to me because I do agree that she plays up the part of the ditzy blonde but I also think she's not as smart as she (secretly) thinks she is - she's like a ditz who thinks she's smarter than she actually is and then plays the part of an even bigger ditz to mask the so-called intelligence that she overestimates...
  3. I actually think it's smart of her to focus on financial planning. There is an over saturation of Housewives podcasts - LVP, Teddi, Kameron/Kary, etc - and, it's like, how much content can you really get out of being a Housewife talking about all things Housewives? But Vicki does have actual expertise in a way that could be relatable to the average listener. Empowering women to be financially independent could be a smart niche for her. But then I always respected that she is one of the few housewives who came into the show with a viable business (and stuck with it throughout).
  4. I believe Elizabeth too - but I do think she has become so used to pushing things down, putting a smile on her face and generally lying about other things that she has an affectation that registers as false or as hiding more than meets the eye.
  5. Oh, you mean the woman he dated while he was married? He clearly didn't want to own up to his own sketchiness and that's why he feigned confusion. I love how he tried to pretend that kissing wasn't sexual or romantic. But then he acts like the victim when gets used by a Catfish...?
  6. Ha, thank you! The Catfish was an asshole, to be sure, but I felt like Nev and Kamie were quick to glaze over the fact that this pastor has a thing for much younger pretty boys. If you're going to be so offended by being called a sugar daddy, maybe don't go trolling for guys in their early 20's? I feel like the Pastor was asking us to accept his shallowness as deep love, so it was hard to feel too bad for him. Looks like Nev and Kamie will be in the same room together next week!
  7. Wow, I actually watched Cowboy's season and literally didn't recognize him for half the episode. He seemed sincere in this, but I haven't forgotten his covert streak of entitlement on "Big Brother."
  8. No one took the effort to create them.
  9. It's a great book - the same author who wrote "Double Indemnity" and "The Postman Always Rings Twice" - one of my favorite authors!
  10. Why can't this update of "Baby Jane" be a reality...? Surely there is some Housewives-obsessed filmmaker out there to make this happen? Or maybe Kyle and Kim Richards. If Gus Van Sant can do a shot-for-shot remake of "Psycho," can't we have the Housewives-version of "Baby Jane?" Maybe Ryan Murphy's next project...
  11. I agree that she's vicious. And it's baffled me that she's typically been a fan favorite. She is truly one of the cruelest housewives ever. I think she has gotten away with a lot over the years because she is beautiful and (kind of) witty. Monique ultimately pays a price for her vendetta against Gizelle, but I can't say that there wasn't something satisfying about seeing Gizelle finally get a taste of her own medicine.
  12. This is even assuming that he did in fact laugh at her. Braunwyn is proving to be a pretty unreliable narrator. The way she chided him in the car for "making light" of her concerns about everyone partying once Covid was over told me everything I need to know about how Braunwyn perceives Sean's behavior. I always felt like the kids were part of what made earlier OC such great television. I kind of feel guilty about it, but they all had fascinating storylines. I've often wondered why subsequent kids have never given us so much watchable material. RHoNJ Ashley is really the only other kid who generated some good drama though I might be forgetting someone.
  13. I'm not at all surprised by Braunwyn's announcement because she basically said this last season, right? I remember an episode where she admitted that she's never really been attracted to men, and I remember finding it odd how that nugget was glazed over by everyone, because I distinctly thought to myself, "So, she's gay?"
  14. Vicki doesn't get near enough credit for being funny - both unintentionally and intentionally. I'll never forget when Kelly was loudly speaking about her vagina in a children's toy store and Vicki just looked at the owner and, without missing a beat, said, "You have a lovely store." Ha!
  15. Yes, I've said the same thing for so long. Say what you will about them, but Vicki and Tamra are both survivors. Both young single mothers with deadbeat baby daddies. They made it work. Vicki, in particular, never rested on her laurels and had her own successful business before the Housewives. And Tamra used the show to lily pad herself away from controlling Simon. I have found myself wondering a lot lately how this season would be going if Vicki and/or Tamra were around. There are interesting storylines going on - Braunywn's alcoholism, Gina navigating her divorce with violent Matt, Elizabeth's divorce struggles, Shannon's; downward spiral - but, as you said, the show has absolutely no star anchors in the cast right now. I cannot help but wonder if the presence of a Vicki or a Tamra would have helped catapult this into a genuinely good season. To be honest, it still confuses and confounds me that they let Vicki go as she was at the center of nearly all the drama last season. I don't understand how it makes sense to let your biggest lighting rod head to the sidelines...
  16. IIRC, Sherman was the one who bailed on her. He stood her up before Candiace's wedding and I think that was the straw that broke the camel's back.
  17. Exactly. And that's why I feel so many of these hypothetical situations people come up with ("If I come up to you and tell you to run me over with your car, are you going to do it?") are false equivalences. Monique and Candiace were both so heated from the jump that that night - they were both so filled with anger, they were both so clearly out to get one another. These were two peers of equal power who clearly hated each other in equal measure - they were baiting each other, goading each other, Monique twirled Candiace's hair, Candiace flicked Monique's vest. So, yes, Monique ultimately has only herself to blame for getting physical - and, yes, Monique needs to take a serious look at how and why she let herself get to that violent point - that said, Candiace knew what she was doing when she repeatedly said, "You gonna drag me?" in that situation. It was not some casual throwback to a past event said in a calm way. It was a volatile and combative situation that was steadily escalating when Candiace repeatedly threw that out there. And just like Monique needs to take a good, hard look at how she let herself succumb to violence, Candiace needs to take a good, hard look at why she was so filled with rage that night and why she was knowingly escalating an already volatile situation - especially when she is someone herself who has literally had to be held down by her husband to keep from getting physical in the past.
  18. I find myself having compassion for Braunwyn, being genuinely interested in Braunwyn's very real sober journey, and also not liking Braunwyn as a person all at the same time.
  19. Had to mention the amazing moment where Nev and Kamie saw Tony's dick pic - loved how nonchalant everyone was about it haha
  20. I think it's interesting that in both last week's episode and also this week's episode, the Catfishee turns out to be a bit of a douche who somewhat misrepresents the situation. Makes me wonder if these episodes were originally shelved because they were dramatically unsatisfying and they're only now being dusted off due to the pandemic and the need for more programming...?
  21. Color me surprised that Gina of all people is the only one besides Braunwyn who seems to have an actual storyline this season. I generally don't like Gina (at all), and think she's a terrible fit for the show, but I do find her navigating the situation with Matt to actually be interesting - and I'm genuinely surprised by her level of compassion toward Braunwyn.
  22. This is not meant to be snarky at all, but it seemed to me like Mary was not all there mentally? Like, this is beyond a simple matter of a rude woman with no filter - she felt a little "off" to me. Like maybe there is some kind official diagnosis waiting in the wings?
