  1. I wonder who the mystery inquisitor is. They are skilled in the force, and I am guessing, wearing a mask for a reason.
  2. I teared up when I saw Cody. Aww. Watching his journey is going to be an emotional one. Crosshair seems to be rethinking his choices.
  3. That episode description kind of annoyed me because it didn’t really happen. They met one guy who helped out after they already left the house. Don’t get me wrong. I enjoyed the episode, and I thought the guy was interesting, I was just expecting something else. No! Not Wilco! He seemed interesting The guy who shot him is an idiot. Does he honestly think the Bad Batch just won’t show up again.
  4. They started doing so after learning more about the chips. The energy bow is silly, but it reminds me of the Nightsisters. I kind of like it for that. Cid is starting to annoy me. Scratch that. She’s been annoying me. “Go on this impossible and stupid to take job while I spill your secrets.” These guys need to ditch her already.
  5. True, though I don’t agree with the motive. At least, I don’t think that was the entire motive. However, that’s going to be a matter of opinion.
  6. That’s probably because they haven’t really done anything with her. I like her, but I would like her a lot more if they did something with her. Alara was developed early on. With Talla, they don’t seem to know what to do with her. She’s had one episode. I don’t count the fling with John. That was a subplot that didn’t even feel fully developed. I see so much potential for her, but the show won’t do anything with it.
  7. She’s learning about an entirely new system for the first time. She had to work before, but every day, she risked getting downvoted from someone who didn’t like their coffee or thought she took too long. They don’t even have to confront her, just use her badge number and vote her down without any consequences. Now she’s told, everything she needs will be provided for, that she can do whatever she wants. It’s like a vacation for life to her. It might sound great to a lot of people at first. Having questions is natural, and it should not label her as anything. What she does next is what matters.
  8. Why does that question make her a millennial? The question makes a lot of sense when your needs are all provided for, especially if she wasn’t happy at her job. That she could have a job that she would love might seem like an unrealistic goal to her.
  9. I will have to listen to it again then. Wow, I didn’t even think about wedding presents. I wonder if that is still traditional in the future. Imagine if they all brought a banana.
  10. Random thoughts. I like Lysella as a future minor character, but not as a main character. John and Talla are neglected as it is. I wish John had been best man. Like, even in this, he’s neglected. Why have the season end with him giving bad advice? Finally! We see Talla and Alara meet. It was nice that they either seemed to have met already, or at least knew each other. It shows that Alara is keeping in contact with the crew without them saying it. Yaphit. Awww. I hope they do him well. Isaac inviting the entire planet and not telling anyone is so Isaac. Why did Claire seem to get angry at him though? The “they won’t all fit” could have been said without the anger. Claire, you have nearly an entire planet coming to see your wedding. You should be happy that they clearly take this marriage as seriously as you do.
  11. That would get the Kaylon killed. Without the Union the Krill and Moclans have a weapon that they will use against them. They figured it out pretty quickly too.
  12. You watch it when you want to. You could wait until the whole season drops to watch if you want.
  13. I really tried not to blame her acting abilities, but every time she had a bigger role, I felt ugh. When the character died, I mostly just thought, “Yea, she’s gone!” However, there have been other characters in tv, far worse than her, that I have loved to watch and could pity. Heck, I felt sorry for Perry, and that was right right after betrayed his people. When he said he was going to turn himself in, I felt his heart breaking. I can’t help but think that you are right. I really, really hope not.
  14. @Chicago Redshirt Your entire post is what I was going to say, but in more detail because I’m lazy. 😂 I will just add that I thought the first battle was a simulation at first. Even before they used the weapon. It just had that feel, and I don’t know why. I also thought they used the time travel to sort of hold them in place until they decayed or something. Anyway… Moclans: We will be in charge because you are female. I’m surprised Teleya didn’t do some of her own cutting after that…or maybe she did. Why Admiral Perry, why? Alright, I understand why. I see both sides here because hoping for peace isn’t going to make it happen. The Kaylon thinking that Ed was joking about the device being stolen was funny. I don’t blame them. Wow, what a great battle. Sorry, but nope, still don’t like Charli. She was becoming tolerable, but that’s the best thing I can say about her. I mean, sacrificing herself entirely for the Kaylons wasn’t even true, despite what the show tries to tell me. Against the Krill/Moclan alliance, the Union was screwed if the Kaylon were killed. Once they were gone, I suspect the Krill would have turned on the Moclans.
  15. That was an emotional ride. Anyone predict that Topa would walk into the debate all beat up? I mean, I was surprised they actually went there, actually showed it. As soon as they did though, I figured why. Heveena was wrong, but I can understand why she asked for Topa’s help. So many had to take risks for the sanctuary to happen. Every step a greater risk than the last. I wonder who the contact was, since they kept it a secret. I considered Klydon, but it sounded like the new network started before he left Orville. He also seemed to have really only turned after Topa was almost killed. Locar? We don’t know what became of him, and it’s possible he was able to deny Klydon’s accusations.
  16. The LaMarr and Talla relationship ship was just odd. It was hinted at, suddenly happened, then suddenly ended. Couldn’t they use the simulator to create avatars that each other? That way if Talla gets too rough, sim LaMarr can’t get hurt, and sim Talla won’t actually go that rough. I loved everyone staring at Bortus when he didn’t understand wanting to have a relationship with the manizers. Speaking of which, why did anyone think lying from the beginning, and to that degree, was a good idea? Really, the Orville should not have been sent. A ship with more females as the captain and senior officers should have been. Start with that without being so “Sure, we totally think men suck” about it. I’m glad Isaac remained the Isaac we know. It was interesting to see him with those emotions, but I like Isaac how he is. His sudden love of Claire and her children indicates that he already loves them in his own way. Assuming the emotions stayed, could they have been removed if he didn’t like them? Otherwise, that’s a huge change she was asking of him. I would be like if a human was dating a telepath… Things are going well. Then this new procedure comes out, and the telepath suddenly doesn’t want to date the human if they don’t want to be telepathic too. If it was a temporary, “Try it, but I’m still here if you don’t like it,” that’s fine. If it was “Do this permanent thing or lose me,” that’s creepy. He mentioned not wanting to go back, so I’m guessing/hoping he could have changed his mind on his own if he wanted to.
  17. Topa’a pain made me hurt. I just felt so bad for her, but on the same time, I was glad that she realized that something was off. Klydon was happy enough to be male. I have no idea what it feels like to be transgender or asexual with a chosen sex, but feeling what you were without anything else never sat right with me. Topa was female before the operation ever happened, and that’s how it should be. Klydon, wow, I wish we could see him see that he’s wrong. “I wish you were never born.” Klydon, dear, Topa hatched. Okay, I know that doesn’t matter, but I wish it did. Is that petty? I don’t know. Hatched children are loved too. Topa. When I episode started, I saw that we were looking at a female moclan. It was was nice to see that it was Topa, being what she what meant to be. I’m also glad that she got what she wanted. ETA: “Topa was female before the operation ever happened, and that’s how it should be.” I realize the potential of what that might mean. I just meant that a person’s gender cannot be dictated by others. It does not matter what society tells you vs. what you know. You know yourself better than anyone.
  18. All of which I still find inconsistent. She cannot keep her hate of Isaac to herself to the point that she will act completely unprofessional while on the bridge. To be specific, I refer to her ridiculous “We don’t leave people behind” speech. Yet, she is happy to walk around Krill? She smiled to be able to do so and happily told one of the Krill that she hopes to see more. There’s no hate in there from someone who can’t control her outbursts. She understands the importance to the Krill alliance, but not the importance of Isaac’s knowledge? They have been at war with the Krill for many years now. How many have they murdered? It would have been over a 100,000 in just one colony alone. Even if she didn’t personal lose anyone to the Krill, the crimes don’t matter to her? At all? That’s how she acts. I don’t believe she is just that ignorant. Normally, I would believe she was just acting professional, keeping her emotions in check, but she had proven that she can’t.
  19. Charlie hates Isaac, but she’s cool with the Krill? That makes no sense. I don’t mind her view on Isaac unless she’s being unprofessional about it, which she has been. Her comment on the holodeck (I forgot what they call it here) makes sense. I think she would have been called out on it if not for the call from the admiral. I would also love to see both invited to more social events. Basically, “You want to hate Isaac? Fine, but you are going to have to socialize less with us if you let your hate dictate your life.” We had basically three different scenes telling us that she was a good navigator. The first on the bridge, which came off as “We will make you like this character!” The second on the shuttle, which would have worked if not for the first scene. Then in the chase scene where the navigation goes out. How could she possible know where to go? I disagree. To me, it was carrying the idiot ball for the sake of the viewers who don’t know. It made her look, well, idiotic. I don’t have an issue with the actress. I personally don’t see an issue with her acting. The only exception might be that if it was her choice to have the character enjoy being on Krill. That might have been a writer’s or director’s choice though. It’s like the writers are trying to make us like her, but they secretly hate her, so she’s written badly. Now on to non-Charlie stuff. Telaya has gone from teacher to spy to chancellor. I’m impressed. Alright, I like her. Gordon messed up big time by claiming he was close to her dead brother. Not that it excuses her actions now, but it definitely helps to fuel her hate. Speaking of which, her using light as a positive and dark as a negative was odd. Wouldn’t it be the opposite? The punishment for those who abort does seem light for Krill, but maybe there is more. Like they go home and the hologram is there, maybe as a baby. They have to tend to her needs or her cries get louder and louder. She follows the parents everywhere, growing up, constantly reminding them of the “What ifs?” Any future children they have are taken and adopted out. Their families are forced to shun them. They might be fired from their jobs. Their only constant is the hologram who continually berates them. 100% agree. They saw the danger, but they were sort of pressured into going.
  20. “We don’t throw people away.” Is the show trying to make me hate Charly? I am trying to give her a chance, but her speech was unprofessional and just plain dumb. In what way did they fall for the bait multiple times? From high to plane, it came unexpected. From plane to morgue, the plane was on the verge of falling. From morgue to stairs, they are in a room with potential zombies. From stairs to lake, they were over an abyss. If they had stayed, the “Kellians” would have just shook the stairs anyway. In following the light, they acknowledge what it might be. When that didn’t work, and when they finally weren’t being forced into another situation, they headed their own way.
  21. I I just watched season 3, and wow, that got pretty silly in the end. The constant addition of traumatic events to the characters’ backgrounds got to be pretty silly after a while. Particularly… Now on to the killer
  22. I just watched this, and while it was entraining, I did not feel like we were watching a proper prequel. To be fair, I don’t think that was the intention. It’s just a fun mobile. As far as Pongo and Perdita being actually related, I don’t care. It happens. It takes multiple generations for problems to happen, and animals just do what they do. My cousin took in a tortoise that turned out that be pregnant, and well, while she was surprised when more tortoises were created, she realized that the tortoises don’t care.
  23. I so glad they ditched Sid’s mission I hope they ditch her next. It sounds like she is still screwed then over. They should ask Rex for tips. I was wondering if it was Gregor, and I soon as I heard that laugh, I knew. 🤣
  24. This might be my crime lord naivety talking, but why in the galaxy did Cid think it was a good idea to walk back into her bar right after stealing the spice? She seemed to think all was going to plan before the Pykes questioned them, so she did not seem worried about what Roland told the Pykes, and going in so soon after just put a huge “We did it!” sign on them. I suppose she expected them to be gone by then, but she didn’t really give them time to be gone. It was probably just a temporary solution, at least, that’s what I assumed. Many flew off, and they could just return and breed until they have huge numbers again.
  25. According to Wookipedia, in the Syndulla clan article… “5,929 members of the clan were taken as slaves for the Hutts.” That is so messed up, and we saw the beginnings of it here. Orn Free Taa was may have ended up being a puppet to the Emperor, but his anti-Chamism push help set that off. Rebels Spoilers…
