I want some characters axed (not literally...or maybe, hmm...) but then I want new characters brought in, so I guess that won't help much with this bloated cast. Specifically, I think they should bring in Tommy Hardy aged up to Elizabeth's age and with kids her kids' ages (been pen pals online all their lives off-screen). I want them to focus more on the hospital and a new doctor from a legacy family could do it.

The least they could have done was a throwaway line about Tracy insisting on being seen by the co-CoS because she's a board member or something.

I edited this because I realized it really isn't any of my business and I shouldn't speculate on something so personal.

Elizabeth was treading a very fine line between encouraging Jake to express his feelings and to not get so swept up in his anger that he closes the door on a good relationship with his father forever. I don't want Jake to forgive Jason any time soon. Jason needs to put in actual effort to earn Jake's forgiveness and I think it should take months if not years (look at Jake avenging his grandfather LOL). BUT I also don't want Jake to have a permanently damaged relationship with his father or to hold on to his anger for too long because it isn't healthy for him.

HW was excellent today. He hit all the right notes and I'm not just saying that because I enjoyed watching Jason reaping what he has sowed with his son. I will be disappointed if this gets resolved too quickly.

I don't want Carly with Jason because that is the ultimate in "Carly always gets what she wants". Hard pass. Plus the incest vibes squick me out. I also despised the way they trashed canon to prop them up. I would prefer it to turn out that Jason has been pressured for some reason to be with Carly and to make it seem real. Carly: But you said that you have loved me since 1996! Jason: I did say that. And it was obviously not true. You of all people know how much I loved Robin back then. I was trying to signal to you that something was up!

I like the kid that plays Danny solely because it cracks me up that he looks so much like RH. I straight up googled: "Are Rebecca Herbst and Asher Antonyzyn cousins?" LOL

I don't care how dumb all the plot holes are or how blatantly the show rips off other things. I had fun. I love this silly show.

Any explanation for the last 2 years that doesn't include a threat against Jake's life or Danny's life isn't good enough. I need at least one character to explicitly say something close to that directly to Jason's face. I would prefer Jake.

Shallow time: Sean Kanan has aged waaaaay better than Steve Burton. If we absolutely must have Jason, then can we get a recast, please? Yes, I know, SK played AJ. So what? It's a soap.

Jason and Carly's energy has been brother/sister for so long that if they had a sex scene it would feel like I was watching incest. 🤮

Definitely not a cute moment. But I wouldn't mind if Danny handling a gun actually went somewhere story-wise, ended in some sort of tragedy (but only a small one and NO guns at school) and culminated with Jason feeling true remorse for what a crap father he is. And other characters also acknowledging and shaming him for being a crap father. And Danny facing real consequences for his actions too if it is warranted. The way they basically glossed over Michael shooting Kate was despicable. That could be revisited and done properly.

Lucky is the child of an addict. His addiction was 100% believable and in character. It is amazing to me how the narrative of the show is as effective as propaganda. Lucky was a drug addict who cheated on Elizabeth and everyone who should have been her support system was somehow on his side. They used the drug addiction to justify his actions and fans are still doing the same decades later. In real life if a single mother was married to a drug addict, then the drug addiction ALONE would be enough for her friends and family to urge her to leave him. Not here. Instead Emily, Nikolas, and even her own grandmother guilted her into propping him up and forgiving him for having an affair because it was somehow the fault of the drugs and not Lucky. It is still as sickening now as it was then.

I think Elizabeth should begin therapy. They wouldn't have to show any of the sessions if they don't want to, just a throwaway line along the lines of: "I've had some therapy to bandage over trauma just enough to be functional, but I've never had real, long-term therapy addressing all of my issues from childhood through to now." Then in a few months maybe I can get the knock-down, drag-out fight I want between her and Jason where she reads him for the filth he is. It is a travesty that she was never allowed to truly confront him (other than that glorious slap when Jake "died") because that would have meant the show and the audience having to acknowledge what a bastard Jason is. A proper soap would have mined that drama for the gold it was, but nooooo, instead we had to cling to the fiction that Jason is the Golden Boy.

No. Lucky verbally, emotionally, and physically abused her. Franco was a rapist. It is absolutely disgusting what the show did to her character to have her paired with him.

I never know how to take scenes like this. Are we supposed to just see that she is lying? Or are they actually retconning a character's entire personality? For whose benefit? Because we all know exactly what Jason is like at this point. It isn't like they have picked up a lot of brand new viewers in the last 5 years who might fall for that BS.

I don't care how nuanced he writes Carly. He could be the soap opera equivalent of Shakespeare, Austen, Morrison and all my favorite writers rolled into one and it still wouldn't matter. I am absolutely done with Carly. He could give us a nuanced portrayal of her dying in a fire. I'll be happy with that. But only if it is dead dead, not soap opera dead. DNA and dental record analysis performed by three independent, non-City of Port Charles forensics labs please.

Alright. I'm just going to come out and say it: A. Mulcahey had a hand in Jason/Carly 1.0. B. He's coming back at the same time as SBu. C. Before Jason "died" Jason/Carly was a thing again. I'm going to assume that the only reason Mulcahey agreed to be HW is because he was given carte blanche to write a Jason/Carly story however he wants. We are going to get the same old Carly is Smart&Brave and Always Wins show we have always had, just with better dialogue. I find it is better to set low expectations. If I am wrong, then I get to be pleasantly surprised. If I am right, then I can only hope that the Jason/Carly crapfest won't eat the entire show and Mulcahey will expend at least a little effort on improving the subplots.

After Jacquelyn decided to stop playing and go back to the floor she said something like waiting for people to come to her in her corner and I thought that was the exact right strategy. I'm glad to see that the winner was someone who both played well in the head-to-heads but also had a good strategy.

I totally agree with all of this except the Sam part. I think that bottom-feeder is a perfect match for Jason. The only problem is that they would never write that story: Two shitty people who deserve nothing better than to be miserable together so that the rest of the world can be spared being subjected to either of them. Instead if they do pair Jason and Sam together again they will shove them down our throats as The Golden Couple. Hard pass.

I'm hoping for at least one non-corrupt LEO on this show. That means he can't just let Sonny be shot no matter how he feels about him personally. Pesky ethics.
