  1. Divorce rumors popping up about Anna yet again. Wish it were true - would love to see her not only get out of that compound and away from Josh but to land with one of her more liberal siblings and find a better life. Normally I'd feel bad to root for breaking up a marriage but I think we can all make an exception in this case. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-4182440/Anna-Duggar-filing-divorce-husband-Josh.html
  2. Eggs - they were sugar coated eggs............which is even worse; at least with pancakes it's generally accepted we'll put syrup and cinnamon sugar on them (in reasonable amounts). But eggs? Why? Not to mention where do they get the extra white sugar in the bush that she can waste it on eggs. Then again where did they get all these eggs from for her to have developed that habit in the first place. Continuity questions make my head hurt. Which reminds me - they went to a lot of trouble to say over and over how they hadn't been to Prince of Wales for 10 years but when they met their old friend with the purple/blue hair Matt said he we 26 when he last saw her because they went there when Billy was recovering from his seizures which would be 6-7 years ago. I'll give Disco credit for this though - they caught a drone shot, it was shown the morning after they picked up the wind supplies, where a herd of deer happened to be splashing across a stream as the drone flew by that I thought was really beautiful.
  3. I don't understand Jill's reaction to the carotid news. If it's real she should show some emotion but her face barely changed, if it's fakey show drama shame on them. Only choice left - it's a re-enactment of a "real" doctor visit and she just can't act out a real reaction to go with it. Adding a bed to the spare room made no sense at all - it's supposed to be for guests; are they expecting someone every night? Otherwise why not put a small fold out couch or futon in there to leave room for the desk during the day. Being a book nerd myself I felt really bad for Jer having them hidden away. Again they could have fit some or all in the study room if they didn't try shoving a full bed in there but Jessa's plan rules the day.
  4. The best part about that dress shopping was watching Me'Chelle. She could not have been more checked out - Jinger goes to try on the dress; "Mom you come too, help me out". Me'Chelle - thousand yard stare in a different direction. Jessa - "Mom she wants you to help her". Michelle FINALLY wakes up, looks at her daughter (you know Michelle, the one you're actually there for) and it still takes a couple beats for her to get up and go to the dressing room. The ever lasting question - is she on meds or just deranged? (both?)
  5. I wish there were more specifics about Brandon's case. I know with the "three strikes" law some judges said what certain people did on their second or third offenses didn't match the jail time they were forced to give but they had to anyway because that law required it. So in Brandon's case were the judges hands tied or could there have been leeway for the prosecutors to lower the charge based on amount of damage done and pleading mental illness. I also wonder how the letter Brandon and his lawyer got from CO$ was worded and did they or could they have shown it to the court - it seems to me it would be at least an admission that the church didn't take the damage as seriously as they said they did when they pressed charges. But I wondered if it could have been considered extortion (even though there's no money involved) or coercion or tampering - I'm reaching here but there has to be something out there; I mean if I tell the police something like so-and-so broke the windshield on my car but then I contact so-and-so and tell him I'll drop the charges if he says my ex-husband put him up to it that can't be legal can it? I do want this show to go on - I've never been one for "reality" TV but it's so interesting and bizarre and you really feel for the people she talks to; it's one show that's so engaging an hour feels like just 15 minutes.
  6. I saw that too - then I realized he was being smart, by keeping his hands there (which was also in full view of the camera) and walking slowly and deliberately it left the PI's no room to claim later that he was being aggressive or that he laid hands on them in any way. I wondered why the Sea Org members thought they have to pay that debt or could be held to the billion year contract they signed at 14, 15, 16 years old - it's likely unenforceable for even for an adult but it can't be a legit debt for a minor who can't enter into a contract like that anyway. Then I realized they don't know this at all; the church tells them what's "legal" so they'd have no idea of what they can really be held to.
  7. I loved Cas standing there while everyone else dove away from the rocket launcher he just watched it go past him. Not sure if he didn't know what it was or knew it wouldn't hurt him; either way it was still funny. And the throw away lines from Crowley - Sam and his flannel, calling Cas "feathers". The rest not so much - so in one episode they manage to kill demon possessed secret service but the missing men and blown up vehicle raise no alarm and the Prez is still allowed to meet with his girlfriend in an unsecured motel. The only reason I can see for the boys getting caught is they wanted to be - there are 100 ways they could have gotten everyone out of that room without being chased or seen so either it was on purpose or the writers are incredible dumb (and maybe think we are too) - hoping for "on purpose" for what better be a good reason.
  8. I hate to make JB "right" but if there was ever walking proof of the need for a 24/7 accountability partner for the marrieds it's Joshie. You're right though, I think the others dropped the entourage after marriage. Except Jill who even though she doesn't need the accountability part is I think incapable of doing pretty much anything by herself. Even spending all day alone in the house seemed to much for her which I think contributed to her danger america issues. But I agree that Jeremy won't hold Jinger back and I think she's independent enough to manage on her own when she needs to.
  9. I thought that too until he explained the logic behind it. In the context of the game with what he knew (taking out what we see that he couldn't be aware of) it sort of made sense. He's telling Sunday if she votes for anyone in the majority alliance and Brett is voted out then the person she voted for and the rest of that alliance could potentially go after her even harder then they are. With no changes she could be out next tribal but she has a chance if there's a merge or a tribe switch. So his logic was they can't break the alliance and to avoid pissing them off they shouldn't write down the name of anyone in that alliance. He was so convinced that one of them was going home (and without Jay's move that would have happened) that he was looking a few tribal's ahead and using that nights vote to protect either himself or Sunday by not rocking the boat. I'm not going to defend him and say it was the best strategy in the world but with only two of them and with what looked to him like no other options it wasn't a bad idea to ingratiate themselves even a little with that vote so they could claim "loyalty" later on.
  10. And that's where I think she made her mistakes, there's a fine line in this game between manipulating and planning with your alliance and putting yourself on top while demanding everyone fall in behind you. When any player thinks they're just too great to have their name written down, and worse lets everyone know it; they're putting a huge target on their backs. I'm thinking of Lex and his "who wrote my name" freak out in Africa. For her to think she shouldn't get two votes from the very people she was trying to get rid of shows how she really thinks about herself vs. the rest of her tribe including her alliance. I don't blame them for getting rid of her now and by her reaction they should be grateful she didn't make merge and jury.
  11. I didn't mind Ralph because I assumed everything he did tied back to how he was hopped up on candy even before Mom left then they show him taking more when Happy's back is turned. Sugar high Ralph is the kiddie equivalent of drunk Toby or Walter. Plus I have to admit his stuff was pretty funny - the only thing they missed was swinging from the ceiling beams. I hate the "citizenship" story, hate the time it takes from the regular plot, hate the one note personality of the immigration lady, hate Walter and Happy and their silly "we can't figure out how to pretend to be a couple" shtick. It's just not an interesting story line IHMO. My totally unspoiled thoughts on how this ends up: I don't believe Happy will have her baby, I just don't think they writers will add a baby to the cast at this point. So there'll be an emergency with Happy, Toby will be unavailable and Walter's actual emotions will kick in. The immigration lady will witness Walter being truly caring and worried and it will convince her that they're a couple. Second choice is the same thing happens but Happy doesn't lose the baby. But unless the writers are trying to ruin the show (and who knows, they could be that clueless) I just don't believe they'll actually add a baby to the mix.
  12. Niles comes out of the bathroom covered in shaving cream: "I feel.....hot...and foamy" Dad: "Know what must have happened? My Hot & Foamy must have exploded" Daphne: "He was a detective you know". Besides being funny on it's own it's worth looking up the outtakes of this of you haven't seen them yet - they can't get past Daphne's line without cracking up and the more they try to do it the more they laugh.
  13. Yeah..not a fan of Neegan from the comics either and episodes of JDM (as much as I love the guy as actor) striding around preaching Neegans particular brand of crazy to anyone who'll listen doesn't get my "must watch" sense tingling. Not looking forward to those little chats at all I sort of feel bad that I couldn't seem to feel bad for Abraham or even Glenn, the speculation and endless articles on every website wore out the suspense for me until I pretty much didn't care and just wanted it done. There were moments though - Rick on the hanging walker, Neegan after hearing Daryl's name. And the one real fake out - Carl's arm; since that should be Rick right now it was easy to believe they might just do it. Yes it's very well acted and yes it's a study in characters and survival and what some humans will do, not just a constant zombie fight.....but it's still missing something they used to have that made it much more interesting than it is the second half of last season and now.
  14. Those questions from JB were the worst part of the episode (and that's saying a lot) - it is so incredibly pervy to be that invested in your kids "sex" life that you interrogate your wife on things like front hugs. And even worse he won't front hug his own daughters because breasts or something I don't know. Does he even realize that all the rules and talk and worry about we don't hold hands until engaged and we don't hug and kiss until married is achieving the opposite of what he wants; he's creating an army of oversexed repressed semi-adults who'll marry the first person to pay attention to them. On the other hand then it's an early start to more J-Grandkids so maybe that's exactly what he wants. THAT'S what that dress was - I thought it looked horrible on her but I didn't recognize it. Might not be the dress though; Jill is just not looking good in general. The smile seems forced and she looks sad, dumpy and tired. She also had a look on her face when Jessa showed everyone the photograph that I couldn't decide if it was "I have my own announcement but can't steal Jessa's thunder" OR "I am so F'ing jealous right now". Spurgeon is the cutest kid of the bunch; I hope being in this family doesn't knock the fun out of him eventually. I love that Israel is still speaking Spanish only because I picture fun times in the TTH with Michelle and the younger kids watching him and looking completely confused while he repeatedly asks for "aqua"
  15. Is it wrong that I'd LOVE to see Dean fight Elliot? Pretty sure Dean would lose so maybe we could switch that to Jake from the Librarians. Actually I'll take any character he wants to play if it gets Christian, Jensen and Jared on the screen together. Annnddd........stepping out of the shallow end now
  16. Thanks for pointing that out - missed it completely while watching live. Not buying the BMOL claims. First the "we eradicated all the bad things" - forget the stray vampire, demon etc sneaking in; even if they could track and immediately take out those what about home grown things; vengeful ghosts and the like. They can't possibly try to claim that things like that don't get at least one victim before they go hunting them. Then there's the info they wanted from Sammy - they already know about the Winchesters, know they hunt alone and Lady MOL teased him about how he and Dean just randomly find things to hunt with no organization about it. But then she starts interrogating him and demanding info on the hunter network, contacts and even "dead drops". What in the world would make her think that Sam and Dean have a sophisticated hunters network that is organized and includes special secret communication drops - everything she said to Sam before that makes it clear she doesn't think much of their disorganized methods. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be though - I prefer the saving people/hunting things part that's been sorely missing especially at the end of last year (metatron, crowly, rowena talk, talk, talk) but even without a monster of the week it moved fast and they didn't drag anything out. Even if they didn't rescue Sam by the end it looks like they're not going to be separated for long so we're not stuck with weeks and weeks of the search for Sam.
  17. I laughed at everything Sheldon did while asleep (being a vicious, noisy, kicking sleeper myself I had to sympathize with Amy). And I can believe Sheldon and Amy's make out idea after their fight, for a sitcom plot at least. Sheldon's not asexual; the feelings and needs are there he just suppresses them. But something has to "turn him on", he doesn't get angry and in real fights often so it's interesting that when he did let go and have a normal boyfriend/girlfriend argument it brought up some other feelings too. I don't find Raj creepy even though I know what he's doing is completely inappropriate - maybe I don't care enough to judge that plot one way or the other. But Raj does need something else to do; anything of his own - either the writers don't know where to go with him anymore or Kunal pissed someone off. What I did find funny for no good reason is how Cinnamon woke up and stared at Raj every time the phone rang; that is one cute dog.
  18. I love this - how the hell did we get so many definitions from TTH? I think it was actually Tinker Toy in the beginning but somewhere along the way I heard people refer to it as the tater tot house and I guess it stuck with me.
  19. Tater Tot House. Named after their signature casserole. AKA the most disgusting thing they "cook" and the sodium laden reason why JB and Josh look the way they do But they gladly share the recipe on their blog: http://www.duggarfamilyblog.com/2010/03/tater-tot-casserole.html As for the episode itself - just get on with the engagement already, we already know this family treats their children, especially the girls like commodities to own, protect and sell to the highest bidder. It's not courtship and it's not standards it's controlling and creepy and no matter how many talking heads you have with these kids you can't sell it any other way
  20. That was both overwhelming and underwhelming - and for the same reason - too much plot going on. Overwhelming because it was one thing after another, multiple story lines, multiple problems solved in multiple ways any one of which could have filled an episode. But those same things are what was underwhelming - they had the multiple stories, plots, rescues because it was two hours and it felt like they just shoved in yet another issue for the team to solve until they had enough of them to fill up those two hours. It just didn't need to be that big. For the good - everything Sylvester did and said; he was pretty much the comic relief but his parts were so much fun to watch. Max Gail who is always great. And.............that's about it. I still like this show a lot but I can't find much that's "good" to say about this premier.
  21. So they cover Jack's drinking in the same episode that Kate gets drunk (after she spent time last ep talking about alcohol calories). You'd think if Jack was dead and his drinking was even part responsible she'd be hypersensitive to that. Maybe it's supposed to show an addictive nature in the family considering her food issues or maybe it's a one time thing (and I'm reading too much into it). Right now I trust William more than Toby. He could be that "brash because deep down I'm insecure guy" but he feels like a climber to me; first episode Kevin comes to the house upset and he has to take a selfie, now he's inviting himself to the party. I know it was supposed to be to support Kate but it felt self-serving too.....need a few more episodes to prove if he's a people user or not. Did Kate's house look familiar to anyone....the doorway when Toby arrived? I was thinking the Walsh house from 90210 but not sure
  22. The more I think about the pilot the more I like it. Drama's aren't my thing and I think the last "big" drama I watched was ER (so maybe my comparison field is low) but I really thought the show was good. One thing that made a big difference is there wasn't a character I hated - nobody I found annoying, no story line that I don't want to follow - I think all four were equally interesting in that I want to see where they all go from here. Definitely one of those who didn't see the end coming - I really thought they were all on one timeline and even when he saw the abandoned baby for a second I though it would be a repeat of Randall not that it actually was him (not until the fireman offered the cigarette). Now hoping they can keep this up for the next few episodes and through the season!
  23. Waiting impatiently for the new season. Love Felicia Day, Love Sean Astin - unless they play truly, truly annoying characters they're two actors that I wouldn't mind seeing return now and then. And I know Jonathan Frakes directs these and used to direct Leverage - I also hope if I were an actor I'd be more laid back but I can't help thinking if I were on either of those shows I'd about pass out when Commander Riker walked onto the set (or maybe I'd already be out cold after shaking hands with Christian). OK enough fan girl childishness - but can we bring on S3 already?
  24. The best part about it coming back on Cozi now is it's been a long time since I've seen it so a lot of stuff feels new (although looking forward to the parts I do remember, especially the no-dialogue Niles Gets Read for a Date where he passes out every time he looks at his finger). Last night Niles had a sack of flour as a pretend baby to see what fatherhood was like - when he shows up to the apartment and it's all scorched and taped together. "I was doing my morning Tai-Chi and accidentally kicked it into the Koi pond. I put it near the fireplace to dry and it got a little....singed. To be fair a real baby would have cried before it burst into flames".
  25. That was the most painful, boring, ear bleeding rendition of power in the blood I've ever heard. Flame must be nearing sainthood to have kept his polite smile on for that whole trip. I love how they separated the tasks by sex - menfolk go drive heavy machinery while the womenfolk take a polite tour of the garden. At least Joy gets to do some non-girly things from time to time. Jessa; just buy a toaster. Turning on the oven for two pieces of bread? It's one of the cheapest appliances out there even if you do get crazy and "buy new". Hoping marriage and the move out of state make a change in Jinger - we had Jer. in actual shorts at the playland place (while JB and the boys once ran a short marathon in jeans so their legs wouldn't defraud). Then in the shot when Jinger and Jessa were leaving the house you could see when they opened the door that her leopard skirt was actually sheer with a shorter piece underneath - for a Duggar girl that's downright daring. Can't decide if Jeremy's Mom is cool on the marriage itself or just wants her boy to man up. Her reaction on the phone could have been wanting to say don't do this but unable to on speaker - but I was thinking she also sounded like she wanted to just say WTF do you want me to tell you; you're a grown man and you don't need to play mommie-may-I to buy an engagement ring. If he had said he thought the ring was beautiful but just wanted a women's opinion it wouldn't be so bad but I swear the way he was talking; all hesitant, starting and stopping his sentences he wanted to ask her if he should buy the ring and get engaged but he didn't want to come right out and say it.
