  1. Monroeville is only an hour or so away from me, and my Dad's family is from right around there. Harper Lee's sister controlled most of her business dealings, but with her sister's death, I think there's a niece who is in control, and who is not well thought of. Most folks around here don't believe Lee has been making her own decisions for several years, and I doubt she's capable of it. 2. I'm busy smoking about 100 pounds of meat for about 60 people, with all the traditional sides and a few nontraditional.
  3. I'm a Rangers fan, but the Blackhawks' away sweaters may be the greatest jersey in sports, next to the simplistic greatness of my beloved Crimson Tide of course.
  4. Given her relationship with her sister, I'd say that is totally accurate.
  5. Impossible. Whatever else it/he may be, the Antochrist won't be boring, unless boring one to death is the superpower of that offspring of lameness. I ex0ect their spawn to grow up to be the adult in the Charlie Brown cartoons.
  6. We're harvesting cucumbers, tomatoes, bell pepper and sqaush from my Mom's garden here in southern Bama already
  7. I don't have a Tumblr. I just lurk on a select few, and I periodically check yours. With being involved in my Mardi Gras association on the board of directors, I just don't have time to maintain a Tumblr.
  8. Souris, you read Elizabeth Peters? Saw a reblog on your Tumblr. Nobody I know reads Elizabeth Peters. And I LOOOOVE that series. May have to buy them on my Kindle and reread them all. Haven't read any in a long while.
  9. If the Dark One magic has to be tethered to someone, where was it when Rumple was dead before Neal committed suicide by Wicked Witch?
  10. So I got to thinking about the worst plot that TSTW vould do, and I now have a panicky fear that DarkEmma will kill Hook. So I got to thinking about the worst plot that TSTW vould do, and I now have a panicky fear that DarkEmma will kill Hook.
  11. And so the writers remain slightly more predictable than the outcome of a Harlem Globetrotters game.
  12. Do they end up back in the Enchanted Forrest after Emma does whatever the hell crap she does with the dagger?
  13. There they go retconning again. Nobody else ever pays for a damn thing.
  14. Take out the "been". The only accurate statement is that Regina has screwed over the most. She screwed everyone. Even Rumple hasn't randomly killed for pleasure to the extent she has, though he obviously is in competition for screwing folks over. One bad event happening to you followed by a lifetime of your own destructive choices is not being screwed over the most, particularly in comparison to your own rape, murder and genocide victims.
  15. If in doubt, go open floor plan over tiny rooms any day
  16. Sounds like a good night for all. I got free crab legs and won $170 on penny slots down around Biloxi.
  17. It's even worse than that. In this show, when a villain decides that they forgive themselves (or don't need forgiveness as Regina apparently decided in her case), then the heroes are still written to turn themselves inside out, beyond what any normal person would do to grant forgiveness that hasn't even been asked for. In this show, the villains expect a happy ending, not because they have put in the work necessary for redemption, not because they regret their past actions, not because they have asked for forgiveness. No, in this show, the villains expect a happy ending because they themselves have decided they deserve one. To quote the Esurance commercials, "That's not how it works . . ."
  18. Emma is the OUAT savior, not Jesus. She's the savior because she was the chosen one to break the curse, not because of her morality. In fact, sh has been one of the more gray characters in terms of what she is willing to do to accomplish her goals, which have always been good. Killing Cruella is in line with how Emma has always acted morally, so it is impossible to see it as a change to evil.
  19. I think we know what the problem is, and the fix is to do the two things Sleepy Hollow did this year. Addition by subtraction, on screen and off.
  20. They posted the Emma kills Cruella scene on the Facebook page for the show, and the fans' reaction does not bode well for the future of the show. They don't buy the going dark twist and a lot say they have no interest in watching that going forward.
  21. Have you tried Old Crow Medicine Show? Best described as "punk rock bluegrass", and incredible live. I have fallen in love with their latest couple of albums. Early stuff (Wagon Wheel) and later stuff (Remedy and Carry Me Back albums) are awesome. Middle stuff without co-founder Critter Fuqua isn't as good.
  22. Until Regina admits what she did to Graham, then yeah, in the present she is pretending with Emma, far worse than Snow and Charming did in my opinion.
  23. Is it bad that I read "reconnects" as "retcons"? I mean that's all the show is lately.
  24. This convinces me that there is something very depraved about Adam Horowitz. What a slap in the face to the soldiers and police who sometimes have to kill.
