  1. Sutton makes herself seem racist. "The word 'racist' is a virus worse than covid." She literally said that ON THE SHOW. Which is dark AND problematic. And she supports the proudly racist and anti-Asian Dolce And Gabbana. But sure, Crystal, is "lying" and exaggerating.
  2. Meh, no one on this show is actually documenting real purchases or rentals. Everything is staged, so it's all subjective anyway. Sarah's in the same league as Adrian for me, entertainment wise. They have different styles of presenting, but I always enjoy both of their episodes.
  3. Same! Those three are my favorite HHI realtors. Adrian in France/Paris, Richard in London and Sarah (the American blond) in Amsterdam. They're all kind of "in" on the joke of HH, so I appreciate their humor when they rib the pickiness of certain House Hunters.
  4. I actually enjoyed them, too. The nit-picking was more amusing than annoying to me. You could definitely tell they were playing it up for the cameras, but it gave Adrian some entertaining retorts. And they ended up going with the logical choice, so overall I liked the episode. Plus I thought it was interesting seeing that bar scene with the ex-pats/other House Hunters. I def recognized that one guy from a previous Nice episode with Adrian, and I assume the others were on HHI as well.
  5. Normally I find it just bitter grapes when one contestant bitches about another one receiving constant praise. But when Brittany was backstage going off on the judges' hardon for Victoria all I could think was "YES! YES! YES!"
  6. Vicki's tirade against Braunwyn has nothing to do with class. She's using barely coded language to mask her obvious homophobia. Same with her disgust for the drag show.
  7. I noticed that in this episode in particular, too. The cockiness can be really off-putting, but from what we've seen, he's not rude or dismissive of the other contestants; he seems to get along quite well with them, so I guess can deal with the boasting. Plus I'll give him points for actively picking a difficult material like the wrapping paper and basket, unlike most of the other contestants who used more traditional materials. Overall, I didn't love this episode. Too many of the contestants simply used ribbon or some other type of fabric for the majority of their garment. My favorite Unconventional Materials challenges are the ones where the contestants are more or less *forced* to use non-fabric materials. I've loved the candy episodes in the past, and also the flower versions of the UM challenge. In those challenges, everyone's forced to use more or less the same materials, and there's less of an issue of one person using things like pillowcases and bedsheets vs. someone who's using less malleable materials like lampshades and mirrors.
  8. Usually when the House Hunter provides their backstory as "on a whim, I'm selling everything and moving halfway across the world with no job to pursue my dream of living in X," I just assume it's a fake plot. The House Hunter usually *does* have a job lined up, and their fear of "what am I gonna do for income???" is just added for dramatic effect. So out of curiosity I looked up the Tampa-to-Paris woman, wondering what her job was in Paris, but it seems like she really did just move to Paris without a job there already. Color me shocked. That is indeed a gutsy/risky move.
  9. Sounds like I'm a little bit deeper into the series, but so far I'm agreeing with your assessment. Especially of Amber. I find her mean, hypocritical, hare-trigger and she's always looking to gaslight someone to make herself look better. She has an issue with a new girl later on, the girl tries to approach her, and Amber ignores her, then insults her looks. Then when the new girl and Amber have a show-forced discussion about that initial meeting, Amber claims her issue is that the new girl ignored her. NG points out that she DID try to approach Amber, but Amber turned her back on her. All the while Amber has this smirk on her face, ready to jump on anything the other woman says. Amber is so foul, IMO.
  10. I liked Pam too. She clearly had a great relationship with her husband and daughter, and I found their shared enthusiasm really sweet. And it was kind of endearing that her favorite clothes label was... Guess.
  11. Denise has been VERY well-received this season. She'll be back.

That, and his continued support of the violent, homophobic sexual predator Justin Gimelstob/Novak's entire handling of ATP politics has been really suspect. He wants everything done behind closed doors and gets upset when reporters have reported on it/players have spoken to the press, yet it's pretty clear there's a lot of turmoil going on with all these members of the Players' Council (who are anti-Gimelstob) quitting.

You had me curious too, so I went and looked it up. Sabalenka currently has 3365 points. About 2000 of those points came from the hard court season last year, from the U.S. Open series on thru the fall swing. So if her current subpar results continue thru the next few months, that's when her ranking will take a big plunge. The hardcourt results from last summer/fall have been what's keeping her ranking afloat.
  14. I liked her overall and think she'll improve a lot next season. The thing I appreciated most about Karlie was how she treated the models like human beings and not nameless mannequins during the up-close critiques, especially when the judges were discussing a design they didn't like. She made a real effort to not malign the models or their bodies and address them by name, and I really appreciate that and attribute it to her own experiences as a model.
  15. I literally came here to see if anyone else noticed that with Waka last night, too. It was so irresponsible of Andy, IMO, to just let his dog loose onto the set when Waka has a history of aggression and biting and there was another dog already on set. You could definitely tell LVP was concerned too, with her constantly squirming around to make sure Waka couldn't get to Giggy. So uncool and just plain dangerous of him.
  16. Just saw the episode in Brookline, Massachusetts. This couple renovated a $1.28m colonial house with a gorgeous wood fireplace. The husband wanted to keep the fireplace as is, but the wife and the designer thought the wood was "too dark" and wanted to paint the fireplace white... which he was not a fan of. And then the wife and her mother proceeded to paint the fireplace TURQUOISE. This might have been one of the most horrifying things I've seen on this show.
  17. I think I'm more surprised that the show is getting a third season than I am that they are renewing it with a house cleaning of most of the cast.
  18. I don't mind that this show is scripted. Some of the cast try pretty hard to make it seem authentic. But, boy, would it get a lot more entertaining if they ditched Alex. I realize the whole point of the show is that Alex's daddy is trying to buy him reality show fame, but MTV should just cut Alex and cast a more charismatic aspiring reality show star.
  19. There were also some reports that a Chicago installment never went forward because they were having difficulty securing filming locations, which was supposedly an issue during that 100 Days of Summer show. A lot of Chicago establishments had no interest in allowing Bravos cameras to film drunken HW antics so plans for a Real Housewives of Chicago were scrapped.
  20. If the rumors are true that Bravo doesn't reimburse the ladies for their wardrobe, maybe the cast was relieved that they didn't have to buy a new wardrobe just for the opening credits?
  21. That's hilarious that Jennifer Lawrence is so on top of HW gossip that she's already anticipating the Cartagena trip. Now we just have to pray the trip doesn't get neutered down in the editing room.
  22. Well I think it looks great. I'm ready for the next season. There's a lot of ground to cover.

    Figure Skating

It probably also felt like the same program over and over because a lot of the skaters used the same music. While there's always been a lot of overused musical warhorses, it's become even more of an issue under IJS. Multiple skaters kept using "Hallelujah," "Swan Lake"/"Black Swan," "Moulin Rouge," and "Turandot." In the SD, there was even a warmup group that had THREE different teams all using "Despacito."
  24. So much this. I hate that scratch spins are such a rarity these days. They used to be such an exclamation point to a perfect free skate. With no cap on the amount of points on the table, everything just becomes a point/level grab instead of a showcase for what a skater excels at. It's almost like there need to be rules in place that force the skaters not to turn every element into an attempt at getting higher levels. I'd love it if there were more requirements for L1/L2 spins and moves-in-the-field for GOE only. I want more spread eagles, more length-of-the-rink spirals, more spins with one position but held for a long duration. But of course no one's doing those moves because it takes valuable time away from grabbing your skate blade for a L4 element.
