  1. Thanks for sharing this! One of the things that I was surprised by early on was Ronald knowing Ben Schwartz by name but not recognizing Kirk. (I never thought Ronald was faking it or anything, just found it odd). Him actively going out of his way to be more subdued and look a little different is fun.
  2. I really really have not cared for the last two episodes but this one was so trite and disappointing. Everything was hitting people over the head and for a show that often had subtle character moments, I groaned out loud seeing little girl Rebecca and then the little boys in the conference room. Rebecca is a BOSS, but I still don’t believe she’d convince the billionaires nor did Rupert need any sort of humanity. People contain multitudes, but I didn’t need them to have a soft moment. She could’ve realized she doesn’t need his validation or that he has no effect on her a million ways other than humanizing him and then not kissing him. A few weeks ago I thought it’d be best to just focus on the show as a sitcom because it felt increasingly likely they wouldn’t stick the landing for me. There absolutely were some funny parts here (mostly uncles day), but they were covered with treacley resolutions so I didn’t even get much enjoyment out of that. Also starting to get really worried they actually will try to pair up Rebecca and Ted with the matchbook and toy soldier (and Ted with the matchbook and magnets the other week). I still think he’ll leave but I’m getting nervous now seeing how the resolutions here have started. I did appreciate the Nate apology signed “wonder kid” and the lavender. Will deserves more, but it’s a start.
  3. Charbel is from Lebanon but lives in the US now. I’ll be sad to see him off the show (depending on LCK), but what an impressive run for being 25! Amar mentioning Ali was only 28 threw me off as well. Gabri better bring Victoire to the premiere.
  4. I’m not crazy about hollandaise but I really want to try a champagne one now. If only she had some texture! Although from the judges side bar maybe it wasn’t just down to that being the only reason. I don’t really expect the chefs to go to five guys but pretty sure they do their grilled cheeses on an inverted bun for the same reason.
  5. His talking head about being so happy the judges voted for him was so strange to me. I get the emotions, but also he had to know from the moment he found out Begoña didn’t plate everything that he was as good as back in.
  6. I’m an Arsenal fan so I can’t speak objectively on Tottenham (they’re massive North London rivals), but this is all accurate. Just want to add that Man City/Man U/Liverpool are also outside of London so it makes sense that the football challenge would be a London team, especially one with a shiny new stadium. Echoing everyone, I’m really loving all of the cheftestants and sad to see anyone leave. I’m actually watching last chance kitchen for the first time in years as a result too. Tom seemed quite annoyed at the end, I hope he’s relaxed again in the next few episodes, his attitude put me off watching the show for a long time.
