  1. Adored it, so darkly funny with absolutely no fat to trim. Fiennes' child-like smile while making the burger is one of my favorite movie moments of the year.
  2. The daughter and her husband-to-be didn't sell it for me. They didn't convince me they were in love, and the guy in particular lacked the charm to make me want to root for him + feel like marriage with the daughter is right. Julia Roberts and George Clooney on the hand, definite veterans.
  3. An even more unpopular opinion. A Different World was more culturally defining than Fresh Prince and The Cosby Show. The show single-handedly raised the number of black people enrolled in colleges.
  4. I am getting pitch forked for this, but I actually miss going out to blockbuster and renting a video. The whole going out, browsing the library, anticipation made it much more fun. I sometimes miss that.
  5. One book I'm currently reading and trying to really understand and internalize is Never Split The Difference by Chris Voss. Has anyone else read this? I find that his main points make sense, and have a good underlying psychological reasoning as to why they work, but I also find them extremely difficult to start implementing in my own life. His book tends to be pretty repetitive, which isn't a bad thing, but I wish he spent a little more time giving some tips and methods to begin implementing them in your own life.
