  1. I noticed the new rocker t-shirt on Hoyt. At least if she wore one twice, but seriously, she has an abundance of rocker t's but only 2 pairs of jeans, both too tight, and 1 pair of boots? The story needs to move a little faster. I like the weekly crime but it seems to be slowing down the main crime's progression. Emily? One word; stupid! Mom's not much better. She hadn't seen her daughter in hours and is just waiting at the camp? Beau dodged a bullet with that one. Is it only me or does Denise always seem a little slick, like she needs a shower? I can't put my finger on it, but something about her is bugging me. Also, if Denise can hide under a desk, Denise could run out the front door. Personally, I liked the addition of Lyle and Darius. #teamdonno #wheresrenwhenyouneedher
  2. Anyone wondering when or if Jenny's mom will be brought up again? They showed her with Tonya and Donno (favorite character ever) then they ditched her for glamping. Reminds me of when Richie Cunningham's older brother went upstairs never to be seen again. I love Reba McIntyre in this role. Anyone who's seen "Reba" knows she's great at comedy but this shows she's also very good at bringing the drama. I laugh when she immediately switches from nice Sunny to mean Sunny with her comments about Cassie after being questioned ("I just don't like that girl."), and although she sang a little in an early episode or 2, the writers aren't forcing the singing when it wouldn't fit. Its fun watching Reba and her real life honey as a couple onscreen. Hopefully their real life is less dramatic.
  3. Re; spandex bottoms There is a time and place for them, and I don't think wearing them on the race is necessarily a bad thing. In the real world, my issue with people wearing them is that not all leggings are created equal. I was once walking in a park, looked up and could see right through the leggings a woman in front of me was wearing. She obviously didn't realize how sheer they became once on. I can't imagine she's the only one this has happened to.
  4. In general I enjoyed this episode. My favorite part was Donno & Walter. They are magically weird together and the subtle injection of humor is perfect. I'm tired of Jenny wearing concert t-shirts, and is it me, or are her pants getting tighter? I also noticed the bottom of her boots were red. Please don't tell me they put her in Loubioutins.
  5. My fear when Phil announced a team was out due to COVID was that they'd bring back the complainer and her dad. Thank goodness they didn't. All I kept thinking during this show was how friendly and into the whole thing the Jordanian people at the tasks were. Absolutely lovely. I also loved how positive and encouraging Phil was to Glenda and Lumumba.
  6. I'm still waiting for the background on why Walter was adopted in the first place? Unwed mom? Unstable mom? Taken by child services?
  7. 1. Agree with the pleasant surprise of Gigi being the one who hit Clive and that this episode flowed better than previous ones. 2. Just how exactly, did Cat get saved from the barn? I think the previous poster might've nailed it; Albie's BFF the DA just happened to be walking by, saw the fire and saved her, going on later to blackmail Dottie. 3. I don't mind the resurecting of old songs as long as its not blatently said, "A new song by...". 4. Knowing the age difference between Susan Sarandon and Trace Adkins makes me cringe a little during the lovey, dovey flashbacks. 5. Anyone who thinks Nikki would get a tour based on singing back up on a song in a bar has suspended all critical thinking abilities. 6. I wish they'd give Trace more to do than just stare into a fire. 7. Nikki's daughter is a brat.
  8. I thought the judging on the s'mores was inconsistent. The judges complained about marshmallows' toasting being too light or inconsistent but Syabira's looked burnt to me. I don't think other bakers' s'mores were any worse than hers so what made burnt better? Given the time constraints, the bakers' products are not going to be as perfect as the model, but I almost felt they were going to give it to Syabira even thought the judging is supposed to be blind.
  9. My husband has gotten to enjoy watching this with me and even he, a non baker, scoffed at the s'more's challenge. The end product reminded me of an upscale restaurant's interpretation of a basic recipe that they fancied up so they could charge you more money. Reading comments about homemade marshmallows made me want to try making them. That's a plus. If anything, a more fitting theme for this week would've been "camping week". They could have made it more challenging by limiting what tools the bakers could use. I don't mind themes but only if they are accurate. For Halloween they could've had the bakers use pumpkin, focus on making candy, include candy in a recipe, create a Halloween character (ghost, skeleton, witch, zombie, etc.) for the show stopper. My problem with having too many theme weeks for GBBO is my fear it would turn it into a copy of Food Network challenge shows and focus more on the theme than the actual baking. LOVE Sandro! It makes sense that his Instagram has so many kid friendly recipes since he's a nanny. I also love Janusz. He's so cheeky. I do agree Kevin will be the next to go. He's been lucky to have escaped elimination up to now because his creations have never been up to par.
  10. The brothers and married couple (Can't help but call him Kevin Hart.) are my favorites. I was soooooo glad to see dad and daughter go. I felt bad for dad, but she was so whiney and acted so entitled she was ruinging the show. I like seeing new destinations but I miss the more challenging events, especially the "Eating something gross." one.
  11. I HATE Jenny's clothes. I understand its in the country and be more laid back but painted on jeans and high heeled lug boots? I was shocked that the people in the bank stayed even if the male robber said he'd kill Pappernik if they moved. IRL, you do what you can to stay alive, but I am happy Pappernik survived. I'm trying to figure out Avery's angle (That's the step dad, right?). He seemed more shady than protective when he went into Paige and Luke's tent. Its nice to see another side of Reba, and I love Buck and Cormack.
  12. I cringe whenever they cover an old song and act like its new or original but maybe those are the only songs they can get the rights to use. I laugh at the range of southern accents when the family has all lived in TN their whole lives. Nikki's is especially thick which is usually a good sign its fake, and Gigi's is close behind. I really want to like this show.
