That makes sense. Most of the NDAs I've read about seemed indefinite in length. I suspect Amy is mainly just being coy and using this to draw attention to herself because she's every bit as thirsty as Jeremy, despite knowing damn well that the NDA already exactly spells out whether or not she was still bound by it and for how long.

Um, yeah... she should have a copy of the NDA, and if she doesn't understand it, Derick would have to read it in order to tell her, lol.

If she never got a copy of the fully signed NDA, then that's a whole other set of potential problems for her.

Actually that's how Joy and Austin describe their relationship when she was that age.

Austin IMO still bears traces of his prior teen rebellion, and one of them might very well be, not being labeled as "weird" for hotly toeing the party line that there's no such thing as fundie friendships of the opposite sex.

More hypocrisy, because many evangelicals and public figures they support have been divorced, even more than once, and they haven’t seemed to have an issue with it.

"Free will" on the part of the marital transgressor/divorce initiator.

They don't think of it as "God's marriage partner picker is clearly off", and/or "these people were never suited for each other".

Hence the big push in their own households to stay married no matter what. Fundagelical family member of mine is content to be maritally separated until the end of days, cutting herself off from any chance to remarry, because Jesus.  Even though her husband is a bum, and most likely only refuses to divorce because he wants to get his hands on her Social Security some day, an eventuality which I have pointed out time out of mind, to no avail.

Ok whether you like Jill or not, I think she's exceeded expectations in her care for Fenna. Fenna isn't just stuck in some doghouse in the backyard. Fenna is taken on walks, given obedience lessons, and is obviously a beloved member of the family.

Granted Fenna seems like an easy dog to take care of -- she seems very gentle and good with kids. But still. When I think of poor Brielle, I clap my hands for Jill's care of Fenna.

Betting that the source of Fenna's acquisition said "dogs like this require lots of exercise and shouldn't just be cooped up in a small area", because I think Jilly Muffin prizes rule-following so highly she would react to a statement like this very earnestly; and has done so.

In the JD/Abbie thread, it was posted that Abbie has a Poshmark account. So does Lauren.

Lauren's closet, at least, is empty though 🤣.

I give props to anyone who manages to make money off of there. I tried myself, though COVID didn't help the sale of stuff like date-wear; and nobody bought anything. Every time I turned around I was knocking prices down.

Trends are tough and don't look good on everyone. I love the look of the current high waisted, wide leg pants, however I've seemed to have misplaced my waist during the pandemic, so they're a no for me - at least for now.

I loved What Not To Wear, but lets face it, Stacy and Clinton, put everyone in the same classic basics. Again a no for me, I would have felt extremely uncomfortable is most of those outfits.

Hair too, can't always be on trend. Face shape matters. Long thin faces look longer and thinner with long straight hair. And hair matters, thin straight hair can't always be made curly, and some curly hair looks foolishly forced when straighten.

Michelle is lucky though, she has a pretty oval/round shaped face and hair that can do almost anything. Her current (& only) style is not all that nice. And her make-over was extreme. She would look really nice with loose curls and waves, like a more modern version of Charlie's Angels Farrah Fawcett and Jaclyn Smith.

Wasn't there speculation here at one point that the new "look" made Michelle look too much like Grandma Mary?  I can see why one wouldn't necessarily want to look like (or remind one's husband of) their mother, lol.

They're swimming in their clothes! What the heck???? I think the Rod parents, with all of their stimulus checks, could have done a better job with a 'pool' for their underprivileged children...like a real, filtered 4 foot above ground one. More than sad to say the least. Those wet clothes shows just how skinny and undernourished those children are under those ugly rags.

You mean like this one? Target seems to have frequent sales on it:

Jinger looks like she barely consumes enough calories to function. No way she ate a giant fat and sugar-laden ice cream cone.

I hope devoutly that she did, because in the prior restaurant meal snaps it looked like her entire dinner was a solo platter of Chinese broccoli; which, great vegetable, but you need a little more on your ribs, eek!

In general, yes, at least while they're living at home.  No matter what they're doing, the girls wear skirts because it is sinful for women to dress like men.  They also must keep their knees and shoulders covered at all times because, otherwise, they might entice men into sinning.

Meechelle famously was filmed discussing modesty while pulling Josie's sweater up over her shoulders so no one could see her upper arms in a sleeveless dress.  Josie was something like 4 years old at the time.

Meechelle was also shown water skiing on the show in a dress.  Her knees were exposed and she apparently insisted they be blurred on the show.

The Duggar daughters have been shown doing heavy construction, playing in the snow, going swimming. running 5 K's, all in skirts that were just inches above their ankles.

I believe the first sight of a Duggar daughter in pants was Jinger when she was leaving for her honeymoon.

That's one of the things I like about Austin. He may say he prefers Joy in dresses, but she doesn't seem to have to wear them while she's tooling around on a bike or similar active pursuits; which is a distinct improvement over the earlier insanity, lol.

Am I just out of it? Who is this guy pointing at? Who is the pointing guy?

I suspect this is probably some kind of self-promotion auto-thingy graphic that you as an author can get back/generate by visiting a website and inputting your item's ISBN/SKU/ASIN. (Source: I get a lot of emails on author self-promotion. Not familiar with this particular tactic, but it's something that would fit right in.)

I've seen Joy make solo trips to Carlin's. My GUESS is that Joy likes Carlin because Carlin is a way Joy can get away from the extremely rigid, no-fun life at home. At Carlin's Joy can probably enjoy a latte at Starbucks, watch some movies, MAYBE even sip some wine.

Joy said something after one trip to visit Carlin: that it was so nice just to get away. I thought that was a weird comment for someone who claims that she and her husband are living the blissfully purposeful, Jesus-filled life: why are you so eager to get away for a weekend?

Maybe Joy is a little anxious to get away from living in a cramped trailer from time to time? Also I imagine that the demonstrative and dramatic Carlin doesn't always ride Joy about "keeping sweet", a la her siblings.

Is there some kind of filter or enhancement on those little girl photos? They all seem to be blurred and the girls have eye and lip makeup on. They look like little pageant girls 😞 and I agree with OP that one or more of the pics look like the girls are dead 😧

(and)Kaylee has used ALL the filters.

I'd excuse that level of wacky experimentalism if it were one of the 12-year-olds; but maybe nobody ever lets Kaylee hold the camera phone?

Those may be available but Jilly Muffin has more college credits than the rest of us. One must want to offer a solid education and we know how Jill grew up.

Do you know, I’ve been thinking about this (more than I should, which is ‘any’), and it just occurred to me: does Derick mean ‘College Minus’?!?

i thought I vaguely remembered someone saying that Jill was filmed at some point pre-Nepal cramming College Plus workbooks like mad; plus Derick’s no education major.  Maybe he thinks that Jill doing 48 College Minus multiple choice workbooks in 6 weeks, IS the same as attending 240 credit hours or similar??  I know it sounds funny to contemplate, but he’d only know whatever nonsense the Duggars parroted about College Plus.  He wouldn’t know it’s make-work nonsense.

I agree.  No young person would say "where does time go."

Re:  Jill's hair color.  I wouldn't even call her current  color Blonde.  It's what you get when you have dyed/highlighted/frosted it with various shades of blonde/red/light brown.  You end up with that non-natural Rusty Gold color.  Mix that with the damaged, frizzy, over treated hair itself and you have one bad look.

I think people definitely have current Jill's hair color in nature.

I don't think they have it with Jill's roots though.

I'm not denying the fact that whatever they did at the library was something those boys needed, but it irritates that Jill equates going to the library with a "play" activity.  We've seen it before.  I doubt they are allowed to check out books.  I don't like to insert personal stories with my comments, but when I was their age, I learned that first and foremost, the library was a place for reading, to be quiet and respectful.  Sure times have changed and they were at a special program, it just irritates me personally.

Yeah, it's... not that anymore, in the overwhelming majority of public libraries.  (Source:  Master of Library Science degree granted 2016) . They call this, "Library 2.0", because nobody can be bothered to tell their kids that any public place should be quiet anymore; or that anyone should put down their cell phones.  The goal is then to get people "using" the library, which they weren't doing anymore when it was the stuffy source of "SHHHHHHHHH!"s and mean looks.  Nowadays, this method of getting butts in library seats is done with Story Time, DVD lending, 3D printers, Starbucks (!), my local library was advertising a teen Wii tournament a few years back, etc., etc.  As somebody who can't concentrate with extraneous noise anywhere, I pay an annual fee for membership to an academic library.
