  1. Or Inherit the Wind. I can see Fredric March and Spencer Tracy.
  2. All The L&O's seemed to need several characters like that. It bugged me too.
  3. Thank you! It's been so long, I forgot how to do it.
  4. Eek! My screen has gone white. Do any of you know how to get the dark screen back?
  5. If someone let my cat out, I'm afraid of what I would do to them.
  6. With my dad, he would give money to any rando with a sob story that called his house. When we finally cleaned his house out, he had mail of every description on every surface in the kitchen and it was a huge kitchen. He didn't pay his bills, so I took that job. Then there was the day I found an old space heater, going full blast behind my mom's desk in the office. For TWO years. I turned it off and when I went to unplug it, the cord, plug, everything fell apart in my hand. I've never been so horrified in my life.
  7. I hope she's not confronting him alone. He sounds capable of anything.
  8. That was pretty much what it was like when my mom was alive. After she died. I made my dad call me every day. If I didn't hear from him I would call him but I wanted him to use the phone, he had forgotten how to do so many things and I worried if he forgot how to use the phone, he'd be in trouble during an emergency. I hired a nice woman to come in and help him and it went terribly. She tried to wash his sheets and I had to make her put them back on because he would have a meltdown about "the sheets your mother slept on." After a few days he started using he as a chauffeur. I will never be like my dad.
  9. No problem! Yes, we live in Washington state. The voters went for this law years ago and I'm glad they did.
  10. I'm getting closer to needing some help with this kind of stuff too. My mom chose Physician Assisted Suicide. I will too if I can but for now, I have my husband and my son.
  11. I worked in retail and it was code there for little old lady.
  12. Yes, there are some really pretty cats there. If Elizabeth hadn't turned out to be a serial killer, I would ask if I could adopt one. Especially the big grey floof.
  13. Don't take too much D3. It can wreak havoc on your organs. The main consequence of vitamin D toxicity is a buildup of calcium in your blood (hypercalcemia), which can cause nausea and vomiting, weakness, and frequent urination. Vitamin D toxicity might progress to bone pain and kidney problems, such as the formation of calcium stones.
  14. I think the "thanks" one looks like it has some terrible sinus disease.
  15. I like the "thank you" one too. I use fire for anger and the applause emoji for a hot post.
  16. I can never drink fruity colas ever since my BF at the time told me that they put prune juice in Dr. Pepper. I turned out not to be true but I swear, I can still taste it.
  17. As an ex Chicagoan living in Seattle, I can relate.
  18. Probably the combo of a different mattress and the cold desert air. I'm sorry it ended that way but I bet you'll look back at it fondly later.
  19. We've always had a tax accountant because my husband had an auto repair business. They're really not that expensive. Shop around, I bet you can even find an accounting student who will work for cheap. It's worth it for the peace of mind.
  20. That sounds like an absolute blast! I'm so glad you did that. I wish I could.
